Haikal Sulaiman ‘alaihis salam yang diklaim orang-orang Yahudi terpendam dan tertimbun di area Masjid al-Aqsa sekarang adalah salah satu isu utama di balik penjajahan Israel di Palestina. Tulisan ini memaparkan secara ringkas informasi tentang Haikal Sulaiman itu sendiri dan misteri keberadaannya.
Haikal Sulaiman ialah tempat ibadah yang dibangun oleh Nabi Sulaiman ‘alaihis salam termasuk penyembelihan kurban persembahan kepada Allah ‘azza wa jalla. Dalam Haikal ini terdapat kuil suci, dan tabut. Didirikan di kola Ursyalim (Yerusalem) di atas bukit Muria, di tempat yang sama Nabi Daud ‘alaihissalam sebelumnya juga mendirikan tempat beliau beribadah.
Tabut sendiri adalah peti yang dibuat Bani Israel, di dalamnya terdapat tongkat Nabi Sulaiman ’alaihissalam dan Nabi Harun ’alaihissalam ; juga dua lempengan batu yang bertuliskan ayat-ayat Taurat; dan naskah kitab Taurat yang diyakini ditulis tangan oleh Nabi Musa ’alaihissalam; berikutnya bejana isi tiga liter yang di dalamnya ada al-mann, yaitu makanan dan minuman yang sama sekali tidak melibatkan campur tangan manusia. Al-Mann ialah sejenis manisan yang dihasilkan oleh pohon-pohonan yang mendapat siraman hujan sehingga terbentuk seperti sarang burung, kurang lebih seperti sarang burung Layang-layang. Sebagian ulama Tafsir ada yang mengatakan bahwa al-Mann itu adalah sarang burung Gagak. Sedangkan salwa adalah sejenis burung yang gemuk penuh daging. Allah ‘azza wa jalla berfirman dalam al-Qur’an,
“Dan Kami menaungi kamu dengan awan, dan Kami turunkan untuk kamu mann dan salwa” (Q.S. al-Baqarah 02: 57)
Mann dan salwa diturunkan Allah kepada Bani Israel.
Nabi Sulaiman ’alaihissalam memulai pembangunan Haikal pada tahun keempat pemerintahan beliau dengan mempekerjakan 180 ribu pekerja. Bebatuannya didatangkan dari Yaman, dan kayu dari Libanon. Tiang-tiangnya berlapis emas murni, sementara dindingnya dihiasi dengan batu permata dan pualam. Pembangunan Haikal memakan waktu delapan tahun berturut-turut.
Kuil Suci: bangunan permanen berbentuk kubus, tidak berjendela, dibangun di area tertinggi Haikal Sulaiman yang disebut dengan Haikal. Antara Kuil Suci dan bagian lain bangunan terdapat dinding pemisah dan rantai dari emas, dan beberapa pintu yang hanya dimasuki oleh para pemimpin spiritual pada hari pengampunan.
Tabut adalah-tempat–menyimpan Tabut sebagaimana yang telah disebutkan di atas.
Karaben ialah: patung-patung burung bersayap besar yang menaungi tabut di bagian kiri dan kanan Haikal Sulaiman.
Altar Kurban,yaitu: tempat penyembelihan kurban yang dilaksanakan setiap hari sebagai ibadah kepada Allah.
Menara dan Meja Roti Persembahan, yaitu tiang-tiang di mana di bawahnya diletakkan kurban dan roti persembahan.
Tempat mencuci kurban dan mandi pemimpin spiritual, terdapat di luar Haikal.
Haikal Sulaiman mengalami tiga kali penghancuran, yang semuanya terjadi sebelum Masehi. Penghancuran pertama dilakukan oleh Raja Nebukadnezar ketika berhasil menguasai Yerusalem. Setelah Raja Heredos membangunnya kembali untuk menarik simpati orang-orang Yahudi, Haikal Sulaiman kembali dihancurkan oleh Raja Anthiokhos yang menyerang Yerusalem. Kemudian Herodos kembali merebut kekuasaan dengan bantuan orang-orang Romawi, dia pun kembali membangun Haikal untuk kali ketiga. Tetapi tidak lama kemudian kekuasaannya berakhir di tangan panglima perang Romawi Adrianus yang juga menghancurkan Yerusalem dan membersihkannya dari orang-orang Yahudi dengan melakukan pembantaian dan pengusiran. Demikian kehancuran bangunan Haikal Sulaiman ini.
Sesunggulinya tidak seorang pun yang menyangkal bahwa Nabi Sulaiman ‘alaihissalam telah membangun tempat suci untuk beribadah kepada Allah ‘azza wa jalla; tidak dipungkiri bahwa bangunan tersebut pun menjadi salah satu rumah Allah. Oleh karena itu Allah menyebutnya dalam al-Qur’an sebagai al-Masjid al-Aqsa sebagaimana yang terdapat di awal surah al-Isra. Orang-orang Yahudi pada saat ini berusaha keras untuk membuktikan bahwa Haikal Sulaiman sebagaimana yang dibangun oleh Nabi Sulaiman berada tepat dan terkubur pada lokasi Masjid al-Aqsa hari ini dengan luas yang sama. Namun demikian, terlepas apakah mereka betul akan menemukannya atau tidak ada sama sekali, sesungguhnya kita umat Islam lebih berhak atas Nabi Sulaiman dan rumah ibadah yang telah beliau bangun. Gambar rekaan bangunan Haikal Sulaiman seperti yang dipublikasikan oleh orang-orang Yahudi kepada dunia sebenarnya tidak memiliki sumber yang jelas dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Selain itu desain dan ornamen bangunan yang ditampilkan menjadi pertanyaan tersendiri di kalangan arkeolog; karena jelas-jelas bercorak Romawi, berbeda jauh dengan gaya bangunan yang dikenal pada masa Nabi Sulaiman.
Dari sisi lain, kata Haikal sendiri berasal dari bahasa Sumeria aikal kemudian diarabkan menjadi Haikal yang berarti bangunan besar, kemudian lebih umum digunakan untuk bangunan besar yang dipakai untuk beribadah. Karena itu rumah ibadah yang dibangun oleh Nabi Sulaiman tersebut pun beliau sebut Aikal. Kita umat Islam beriman bahwa Nabi Sulaiman bin Daud `alaihima as-salam beliaulah yang mendirikan Masjid al-Aqsa. Orang Yahudi menyebutnya Haikal, dan kita menyebutnya Masjid. Imam Ahmad dalam Musnad-nya dan Ibnu Majah dalam Sunan-nya meriwayatkan dengan sanad yang shahih dari Amru bin al-’Ash bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
“Tatkala Sulaiman bin Daud selesai membangun Baital-Magdis, dia berdo’a kepada Allah meminta tiga perkara: Hukum yang sesuai dengan hukum-Nya; kekuasaan yang tidak dimiliki oleh seorang pun setelah dia; dan tidak seorang pun yang mendatangi masjid ini semata-mata untuk shalat, melainkan dihapuskan dosa-dosanya sebagaimana dia dilahirkan oleh ibunya. Rasulullah berkata, ‘Adapun yang dua, sesungguhnya Allah telah mengabulkannya, saya berharap beliau juga diberi yang ketiga.’”
Masjid al-Aqsa yang ada sekarang dibangun di atas reruntuhan Masjid yang dibangun oleh Nabi Sulaiman ‘alaihissalam yang disebut Haikal oleh orang Yahudi, tetapi sumber-sumber Yahudi sendiri saling bertentangan dalam menjelaskan luasan dan spesifikasi atau rincian Haikal. Dalam kitab Hezkel (42: 15, 19) dijelaskan bahwa panjang masing-masing pagar terluar ialah 500 qasbah sehingga luas totalnya ialah 2,5 kilometer persegi. Padahal pada saat itu luas Masjid al-Aqsa tidak lebih dari satu kilometer persegi. Inilah diantara bukti ketidakbenaran tuduhan orang‑orang Yahudi. Pertentangan serupa juga terdapat antara perjanjian lama dan sumber-sumber Yahudi; keterangan yang terdapat dalam Safar Raja-Raja Pertama (6:3) berbeda sekali dengan yang disebutkan dalam Berita Hari-Hari Kedua (3:3). Selain membuktikan kebohongan klaim Haikal Sulaiman versi Yahudi, pertentangan itu juga membuktikan bahwa kitab-kitab tersebut bukanlah kitab suci yang murni dari Allah; mustahil kontradiksi semacam ini dilakukan oleh Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, Maha Suci Allah dari hal-hal seperti itu.
Sesungguhnya dalih orang-orang Yahudi dalam melakukan penggalian di bawah masjid al-Aqsa dalam rangka mencari dan meneliti situs peninggalan Nabi Sulaiman adalah kebohongan belaka, karena Masjid al-Aqsa berada di daratan tinggi yang terdiri atas bebatuan, bukan tanah atau padang pasir. Dengan demikian mustahil dibawahnya tertimbun situs-situs peninggalan Nabi Sulaiman. Gambar Haikal yang dipublikasikan oleh Yahudi sendiri pun menggambarkan bahwa posisinya yang berada didataran tinggi dikelilingi oleh pagar pada keempat sisinya persis seperti Masjid yang ada sekarang. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa tujuan sebenarnya dari penggalian yang mereka lakukan di bawah Masjid al-Aqsa adalah untuk membuat keropos tanah pertapakan Masjid supaya ambruk. Jika Masjid telah ambruk – demi Allah, semoga hal tersebut tidak terjadi – maka Masjid tersebut pun tinggal puing-puing dan sisa-sisanya, sehingga status kita umat Islam sama dengan mereka, sama-sama tidak memiliki bangunan fisik hanya situs bersejarah, lalu masing-masing pihak, baik kaum Muslim maupun Yahudi sama-sama mengajukan klaim hak untuk membangun kembali tempat suci di sana. Selain itu penggalian dan penghancuran terselubung terhadap Masjid al-Aqsa mereka lakukan juga dalam rangka berusaha menemukan kembali tulang-belulang Yasu’ dan harta peninggalan Nabi Sulaiman yang mereka yakini terpendam di sekitar lokasi ini.
Patut diketahui bahwa Quds, berdasarkan piagam internasional tidak dianggap sebagai kota Arab maupun Yahudi, tetapi dibawah penguasaan amnesti Internasional, karena keberadaannya sebagai warisan peradaban dunia,berdasarkan resolusi tahun 1947, yang berarti bahwa masyarakat Internasionallah yang berhak menentukan bangunan apa yang lebih pantas dibangun kembali jika Masjid al-Aqsa betul-betul runtuh. Jika itu sampai terjadi kita dapat menebak ke arah mana pilihan “masyarakat internasional” tersebut di arahkan.
Oleh karenanya umat Islam harus mewaspadai tipu daya Yahudi, wajib untuk menyatukan kata menghadang tindak-tanduk orang-orang Yahudi yang membabi buta terhadap tanah dan Masjid yang diberkahi Allah. Sesungguhnya hal tersebut merupakan amanah di pundak kita. Hendaklah kita mencemaskan suatu pagi saat kita bangun tidur ternyata kita tidak lagi menjumpai Masjid al-Aqsa di tempatnya, lalu kita pun menyesali, tetapi penyesalan di waktu yang tidak lagi berguna.
