Demi (buah) Tin dan (buah) Zaitun. Dan demi bukit Sina. Dan demi kota yang aman ini. (QS 95:1-3)
Tiga ayat di atas merupakan sumpah Allah SWT. Kalimat atau kata-kata sumpah Allah juga terdapat pada beberapa surah dan ayat lain dalam Alquran.
Memahami ayat tersebut, ternyata tidaklah mudah. Berbagai pertanyaan muncul mengenai sumpah Allah tersebut. Apa keistimewaan buah tin dan buah zaitun, di mana sesungguhnya keberadaan Thursina, dan di mana negeri yang aman itu?
Nama-nama di atas yang disebut oleh surah Attin ayat 1-3, adalah nama-nama yang di antaranya masih diperdebatkan. Di antara yang diperdebatkan itu adalah buah tin, zaitun, dan Thursina. Sementara itu, mengenai kata al-Balad al-Amin (negeri yang aman), para ulama sepakat bahwa negeri itu adalah Makkah.
Sejumlah pendapat, sebagian besar menyatakan bahwa Thursina mengarah kepada sekitar Baitul Maqdis di Palestina. Namun, ada pula yang mengaitkan surah Attin ayat 1-3 itu menunjukkan tiga tempat berbeda.
Kata Wa at-Tin wa az-Zaitun dirujuk pada Palestina yang daerah ini dikenal dengan pohon tin dan zaitun yang sangat banyak. Tempat ini merupakan tempat Nabi Isa AS ditugaskan sebagai rasul dalam menyebarkan agama tauhid (Nasrani).
Sedangkan, mengenai kata wa Thuuri Siniin (demi Bukit Thursina), sebagian penafsir merujuk pada Nabi Musa AS yang menyebarkan perintah Allah di Mesir yang berawal dari gunung Thursina, untuk melawan Firaun dan membela Bani Israil.
Dan, mengenai kalimat wa haadza al-Balad al-Amiin (dan demi kota/negeri yang aman ini), para ulama menyepakati bahwa negeri tersebut adalah Makkah.
Dari ketiga daerah dan kota yang disebutkan para mufassir itu, mereka memaknai bahwa yang dimaksud dalam surah Attin (ayat 1-3) itu adalah tiga negeri (kota) tempat tersebarnya agama Samawi, yaitu agama Yahudi (Thursina), Islam (Makkah), dan Nasrani (Palestina) yang hakikatnya berasal dari Tuhan yang sama.
Jadi, para mufassir dalam memaknai surah Attin ayat 1-3 itu terkait dengan penciptaan Allah SWT atas diri manusia sebagaimana ayat berikutnya. ”Allah bersumpah dengan menyebut tiga tempat lahirnya agama-agama Samawi dalam rangka menguraikan fitrah kesucian manusia,” jelas Sayyid Quthb.

Namun demikian, pendapat lain menyatakan, Attin adalah nama Masjid Ashabul Kahfi. Menurut Ibnu Abbas, seorang penafsir besar, Attin adalah masjid yang letaknya berada di Damsyiq (Dimasyq).
Berbeda dengan Ibnu Abbas, Al-Qusimi memahami Attin dalam surah ini adalah tempat Buddha memperoleh jalan keabadian di bawah pohon Attin. Para penganut agama Buddha menamakan pohon tersebut dengan pohon bodhi atau fices religiosa (pohon ara suci) yang terdapat di Bihar.
Namun, ada juga yang berpendapat bahwa Attin adalah bukit tempat berlabuhnya perahu yang membawa Nabi Nuh AS bersama orang-orang yang beriman atau tempat Nabi Ibrahim AS mendapat wahyu Ilahi.
Seperti diketahui, Nabi Ibrahim AS adalah bapak nabi-nabi (Abul Anbiya’) serta pengumandang nilai-nilai Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa. Ini mengisyaratkan bahwa keyakinan akan keesaan Allah haruslah menjadi pangkalan tempat bertolak dan pelabuhan tempat berlayar.
”Siapa yang bisa memastikan bahwa yang dimaksud Allah SWT dengan Thursina itu adalah Sinai, Mesir? Sekiranya memang benar demikian, tentunya Allah SWT tidak mengatakan Siniin jika maksudnya Sinai.
Dimanakah Letak Bukit Thursina?
Ron Wyatt seorang ahli sejarah meng klaim bahwa dia menemukan lokasi penyeberangan Musa dan kaumnya yang kita kenal dengan peristiwa terbelahnya lautan. Dia berpendapat bahwa lokasi penyeberangan berawal di pantai Nuweiba (semenanjung sinai) dan berakhir di perbatasan antara yordania dan arab saudi sekarang. Kalau pendapat Ron ini benar, berarti gunung sinai yang disebutkan dalam bibel maupun Quran bukan terletak di semenanjung sinai mesir, tetapi terletak di daerah saudi arabia sekarang.
Dan Kami seberangkan Bani Israil ke seberang lautan itu, maka setelah mereka sampai kepada suatu kaum yang tetap menyembah berhala mereka, Bani lsrail berkata: "Hai Musa. buatlah untuk kami sebuah tuhan (berhala) sebagaimana mereka mempunyai beberapa tuhan (berhala)." Musa menjawab: "Sesungguh-nya kamu ini adalah kaum yang tidak mengetahui (sifat-sifat Tuhan)."(QS 7:138)

Ditambahkan juga, bahwa di pantai Nuweiba dan pantai Arab ditemukan sebuah pilar/tiang yang serupa bergaya Phoenicia. Ron mempercayai bahwa kedua tiang itu dipancangkan oleh nabi Sulaiman dalam rangka memperingati kejadian terbelahnya laut merah.

Maka tatkala Musa sampai ke (tempat) api itu, diserulah dia dari (arah) pinggir lembah yang sebelah kanan(nya) pada tempat yang diberkahi, dari sebatang pohon kayu, yaitu: "Ya Musa, sesungguhnya aku adalah Allah, Tuhan semesta alam (QS 28:30)
dan pohon kayu keluar dari Thursina, yang menghasilkan minyak, dan pemakan makanan bagi orang-orang yang makan. (QS 23:20)

Dan mereka Kami bagi menjadi dua belas suku yang masing-masingnya berjumlah besar dan Kami wahyukan kepada Musa ketika kaumnya meminta air kepadanya: "Pukullah batu itu dengan tongkatmu!." Maka memancarlah dari padanya duabelas mata air. Sesungguhnya tiap-tiap suku mengetahui tempat minum masing-masing. Dan Kami naungkan awan di atas mereka dan Kami turunkan kepada mereka manna dan salwa. (Kami berfirman): "Makanlah yang baik-baik dari apa yang telah Kami rezkikan kepadamu." Mereka tidak menganiaya Kami, tapi merekalah yang selalu menganiaya dirinya sendiri. (QS 7:160)
