Memutuskan untuk menikah bukanlah sebuah perkara mudah. Meski sudah pacaran bertahun-tahun, meski sudah saling mengenal kedua belah pihak keluarga, meski hampir semua foto di Instagram isinya mesra-mesraan, tapi tetap ada banyak pertimbangan yang harus dipikirkan sebelum beranjak serius. Saat sudah sepakat untuk menikah, persiapan yang dilakukan pun tak sekadar satu atau dua hal. Ada banyak point yang harus dicatat baik-baik agar jangan sampai ada yang terlewat. Jangan tanyakan repot dan ribetnya seperti apa. Belum lagi masalah budget yang nggak sedikit.
Tapi kalau menikahnya dilandasi rasa cinta dan bahagia, semua terasa ringan dan menyenangkan.
Karena menikah adalah sebuah komitmen yang terjalin tidak hanya antara kamu dan dia, tapi juga pada kedua belah pihak keluarga. Rasanya aneh dan janggal ketika banyak cerita tentang batalnya pernikahan padahal sudah sangat dekat dengan hari H. Miris sih, mengingat menikah adalah perhelatan yang dipenuhi cinta kasih, tapi akhirnya berakhir tragis karena salah satu pihak membatalkan karena sebuah sebab.
Meski rasanya cerita seperti ini harusnya cuma ada di sinetron, tapi ternyata terjadi juga pada kehidupan nyata Gambar di atas menjadi viral di sosial media setelah banyak orang me-repost ulang pengumuman ini. Bukan sembarang pengumuman, karena isi di dalamnya mengabarkan bahwa pernikahan yang sejatinya akan dilangsungkan hari itu terpaksa harus dibatalkan karena pihak calon mempelai pria membatalkan secara sepihak melalui pesan singkat hanya dalam waktu H-4 pernikahan.
1. Sehubungan dengan adanya pembatalan pernikahan oleh calon mempelai pria, bersama ini kami sampaikan bahwa rencana pernikahan tanggal 19 Februari 2017 telah dibatalkan.
2. Pembatalan pernikahan oleh calon mempelai pria dilakukan pada tanggal 15 februari 2017 melalui pesan singkat.
3. Resepsi pada hari ini tanggal 19 Februari 2017 tetap kami selenggarakan sebagai penghormatan kami untuk para tamu undangan yang belum sempat menerima pemberitahuan pembatalan pernikahan dan para tamu yang tetap hadir guna menjalin silaturahmi.
4. Kami mohon doa dan restu kepada bapak dan ibu semoga calon mempelai wanita diberi ketabahan dan mendapat petunjuk Allah SWT serta dipertemukan dengan jodohnya yang diridhoi oleh Allah SWT.

Menikah bukanlah main-main. Komitmen ini harus dipegang kuat bersama agar tak lepas di tengah jalan. Kalau memang masih ragu, tak usahlah terburu-buru mengajak menikah. Daripada mundur diam-diam saat semua sudah dipersiapkan dengan matang? Karena akan ada banyak hati yang hancur atas perbuatan yang menurutmu baik-baik saja. Bukankah membatalkan pernikahan justru akan menjauhkanmu dari kesan laki-laki sejati?

Tak ada yang bisa menggantikan itu semua. Sudah rugi perasaan, rugi waktu, tenaga, pikiran, rugi materi pula! Memangnya, kamu mau ganti rugi?
Dengan membatalkan pernikahan secara tiba-tiba, harga diri akhirnya jadi taruhan
Jangan dikira hanya pihak keluarga calon mempelai wanita saja yang menanggung malu dan juga rugi. Sebagai pihak yang membatalkan, secara nggak langsung kamu juga telah menjatuhkan harga dirimu sendiri. Namamu sudah tersebar lewat ratusan atau bahkan ribuan undangan yang tersebar. Jangan kaget kalau beberapa hari ke depan kamu akan jadi bahan obrolan banyak orang.
"Oh, itu cowok yang batalin nikah tiba-tiba kemaren itu? Ih, nggak tahu malu banget, sih!"
"Iya, kasian ya yang jadi ceweknya. Pasti hancur banget tuh perasaannya."
Kalau pada akhirnya karena suatu hal yang tidak bisa diganggu gugat, pernikahan akhirnya benar-benar harus dibatalkan, bicarakanlah baik-baik dan tidak dengan kondisi waktu yang sangat mepet dan mendekati hari H. Dan jangan pakai pesan singkat! Sangat nggak gentle tau. Kamu pasti tahu ?kan tentang resiko yang akan dihadapi? Maka dari itu, pikirkanlah dan rencanakan baik-baik acara pernikahanmu. Pilihlah orang yang tepat, yang benar-benar kamu pilih sesuai dengan kata hati. Jangan sampai kejadian ini terulang kembali. Karena akan ada banyak hati yang hancur di balik keputusan yang diambil secara sepihak.
