Kencing atau bahasa halusnya buang air seni ini sudah bukan suatu hal yang asing lagi bagi umat manusia. Setiap manusia melakukan aktivitas ini untuk mengeluarkan sisa-sisa metabolisme tubuh (mengeluarkan kotoran tubuh). Dalam melakukan aktivitas inipun kita dituntut melakukannya dengan benar dan sesuai aturan.
Hadits yang diriwayatkan oleh Aisyah radhiyallahu ”anha, di mana beliau berkata,“Siapa yang bilang bahwa Rasulullah SAW kencing sambil berdiri, jangan dibenarkan. Beliau tidak pernah kencing sambil berdiri.”
Dari Aisyah ra. berkata bahwa Rasulullah SAW tidak pernah kencing sambil berdiri semenjak diturunkan kepadanya Al-Quran.
Secara medis kencing berdiri adalah penyebab utama penyakit kencing batu pada semua penderita penyakit tersebut dan merupakan salah satu penyebab penyakit lemah syahwat bagi sebagian pria.
Secara agama, kebanyakan orang yang biasanya kencing berdiri kemudian mereka akan mendirikan shalat, ketika akan ruku’ atau sujud maka terasa ada sesuatu yang keluar dari kemaluannya, itulah sisa air kencing yang tidak habis terpencar ketika kencing sambil berdiri, apabila hal ini terjadi maka shalat yang dikerjakannya tidak sah karena air kencing adalah najis dan salah satu syarat sahnya shalat adalah suci dari hadats kecil maupun hadats besar.
Umumnya kita memandang ringan terhadap cara dan tempat buang air, mungkin karena pertimbangan waktu atau situasi dan kondisi yang mengharuskan (terpaksa) untuk kencing berdiri tanpa menyangka keburukannya dari sisi sunnah dan kesehatan. Orang dulu mempunyai budaya melarang anak kencing berdiri sehingga kita sering mendengar pepatah “Guru kencing berdiri, murid kencing berlari”, karena memang terdapat efek negatif dari kencing berdiri.
Kebiasaan orang kencing berdiri akan mudah lemah bathin, karena sisa-sisa air dalam pundit-pundi yang tidak habis terpancar menjadikan kelenjar otot-otot dan urat halus sekitar zakar menjadi lembek dan kendur. Berbeda dengan buang air jongkok, dalam keadaan bertinggung tulang paha di kiri dan kanan merenggangkan himpitan buah zakar. Ini memudahkan air kencing mudah mengalir habis dan memudahkan untuk menekan pangkal buah zakar sambil berdehem-dehem. Dengan cara ini, air kencing akan keluar hingga habis, malahan dengan cara ini kekuatan sekitar otot zakar terpelihara.
Ketika buang air kencing berdiri ada rasa tidak puas, karena masih ada sisa air dalam kantong dan telur zakar di bawah batang zakar. Ia berkemungkinan besar menyebabkan kencing batu. Kenyataan membuktikan bahwa batu karang yang berada dalam ginjal atau kantong seni dan telur zakar adalah disebabkan oleh sisa-sisa air kencing yang tak habis terpencar. Endapan demi endapan akhirnya mengkristal/mengeras seperti batu karang.
Jika anda biasa meneliti sisa air kencing yang tak dibersihkan dalam kamar mandi, anda bayangkan betapa keras kerak-keraknya. Bagaimana jika itu ada di kantong kemaluan Anda?? Hal ini juga merupakan salah satu yang menyebabkan penyakit lemah syahwat pada pria selain dari penyebab kencing batu.
Sesungguhnya banyak siksa kubur dikarenakan kencing maka bersihkanlah dirimu dari (percikan dan bekas) kencing. (HR. Al Bazzaar dan Ath-Thahawi)
Hadis riwayat Ibnu Abbas ra., ia berkata: Rasulullah saw. pernah melewati dua buah kuburan, lalu beliau bersabda: Ingat, sesungguhnya dua mayit ini sedang disiksa, namun bukan karena dosa besar. Yang satu disiksa karena ia dahulu suka mengadu domba, sedang yang lainnya disiksa karena tidak membersihkan dirinya dari air kencingnya. Kemudian beliau meminta pelepah daun kurma dan dipotongnya menjadi dua. Setelah itu beliau menancapkan salah satunya pada sebuah kuburan dan yang satunya lagi pada kuburan yang lain seraya bersabda: Semoga pelepah itu dapat meringankan siksanya, selama belum kering. (Shahih Muslim No.439)
Demikian hikmahnya Rasulullah Shalallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Salam melarang kencing berdiri. Dan bagi muslim yang shalat, kadang setelah keluar dari WC dan mau shalat, ketika ruku’ dalam shalat kita merasa ada sesuatu yang keluar dari kemaluan, itu adalah sisa air kencing yang tidak habis terpencar akibat dari kencing berdiri yang tidak tuntas keluar, hal ini menyebabkan shalat tidak sah karena salah satu sarat sahnya shalat adalah bersih dan suci dari najis baik hadats kecil maupun hadats besar, dan air kencing merupakan najis.
Sehingga Nabi Shalallahu ‘Alaihi Wasalam sering mengingatkan dalam sabdanya: “Hati-hatilah dalam masalah kencing karena kebanyakan siksa kubur dikarenakan tidak berhati-hati dalam kencing”.
Maka ada baiknya kita belajar adab-adab dan sunnah-sunnah di kamar mandi (WC) berikut agar kita banyak mendapatkan manfaat baik di dunia (kesehatan) maupun di akhirat (agama) yang telah diajarkan Rasulullah Shalallahu ‘Alaihi Wasalam.
Tambahan:
kencing berdiri
Buang air jongkok (tidak berdiri jika tidak terpaksa/darurat). Agar kotoran bisa keluar tuntas sehingga tidak menjadi penyebab kencing batu maupun lemah syahwat.
Menggunakan alas kaki. Menurut penelitian di Amerika di dalam kamar mandi/WC ada sejenis virus dengan type Americanus yang masuk lewat telapak kaki orang yang ada di WC tersebut. Dengan proses waktu yang panjang virus tersebut naik ke atas tubuh dan ke kepala merusak jaringan otak yang menyebabkna otak lemah tak mampu lagi mengingat, blank semua memori otak sehingga pikun. Sandal hendaknya diletakkan di luar WC, jangan di dalam WC, karena semakin kotor, lembab dan tak mengenai sasaran kebesihan.
Masuk kamar mandi/WC dengan kaki kiri dan keluar dengan kaki kanan. Inilah sunnah yang diperintahkan oleh Nabi, dan juga disunnahkan untuk membaca doa sebelum masuk kamar mandi (doa dibaca di luar kamar mandi) dan setelah keluar dari kamar mandi. Berbeda jika kita masuk masjid dan rumah, masuk masjid atau rumah dengan kaki kanan dan keluar dengan kaki kiri.
Beristinja’ dengan air dan dengan tangan kiri.
Beristinja’ (bersuci dan membersihkan kotoran) dengan air, bukan dengan tissue atau lainnya kecuali jika tidak ditemukan air ketika dihutan, padang pasir dsb. Boleh gunakan tissue tapi harus dibilas lagi dengan air setelahnya. Syarat kebersihan dan kesucian dari najis menurut syariat adalah hilang warna, hilang bau, dan hilang rasa dari najis tersebut. Beristinja’ juga disunnahkan dengan tangan kiri, inilah pembagian tugas dari tangan, bagaimana tangan kiri untuk urusan ‘belakang’ sedangkan untuk makan & minum disunnahkan dengan tangan kanan, jangan dicampuradukkaan, tangan yang untuk urusan belakang itu juga untuk makan. Dan Nabi melarang makan & minum dengan tangan kiri.
Jangan merancang/merencanakan sesuatu di WC. Nabi sangat melarang merencanakan atau membuat suatu rencana/ide/inspirasi di dalam WC, karena WC adalah markaznya syetan sebagaimana doa kita ketika hendak masuk WC: “Allahumma inni a’udzubika minal khubutsi wal khabaits”, Yaa Allah, aku berlindung kepada-Mu dari godaan syetan laki-laki maupun perempuan”. Karena dikhawatirkan rencana/ide/inspirasi yang didapat berasal dari bisikan syetan yang kelihatannya baik tapi setelah dijalankan ternyata banyak mudharat/keburukannya. Begitu juga setelah keluar WC, baca istighfar dan doa keluar WC. Secara adab dan budaya pun sangat tidak baik, masa sambil buang kotoran mencari ide/inspirasi atau merencanakan sesuatu yang baik apalagi sesuatu itu menyangkut hajat hidup orang banyak. Disunnahkan juga untuk menyegerakan keluar WC apabila hajat sudah selesai, bukan malah bernyanyi-nyanyi apalagi sambil baca buku atau Koran.
Ketika buang air dilarang menghadap atau membelakangi qiblat, apabila lubang WC menghadap qiblat hendaknnya ketika buang air badan agak diserongkan sedikit
Apabila sunnah diamalkan walaupun dalam kamar mandi maka kita ini juga namanya ibadah. Betapa sayangnya setiap hari kita ke kamar mandi beberapa kali tapi tidak mendapatkan pahala ibadah dengan menghidupkan sunnah. Padahal salah satu maksud dan tujuan manusia diciptakan adalah untuk ibadah.
