“Sang Penyelamat di Kolong Jembatan”
Hari ini, Rabu pagi. Seperti biasa kami bagi-bagi tugas untuk Program Hasanah Box, Food for Dhuafa, amanah dari teman-teman kantor. Kali ini berbeda, saya naik angkot sambil menenteng beberapa nasi box.
epat jam 7 pagi, saya sampai di terminal Kampung Melayu. Begitu turun dari angkot, tangan kanan dan kiri saya menenteng kantong plastik berisi nasi kotak menuju kolong jembatan fly over Kampung Melayu. Saya terus menyusuri kolong yang sedikit gelap. Hanya cahaya pagi dari luar kolong jembatan yang sedikit menerangi. Semakin saya masuk ke dalam, semakin miris hati saya melihatnya.
Satu kantong plastik besar yang berisi 10 nasi box, kami bagikan untuk pemulung yang tinggal di kolong. Saya jumpai ibu-ibu dan anaknya yang sedang sibuk merapikan botol dan kardus hasil mereka memulung. Ternyata suami mereka dari subuh sudah jalan untuk memulung, tak lupa saya titipkan nasi box untuk mereka yang sudah pergi terlebih dahulu untuk mengais rezeki.
Sambil menuju keluar, saya menyusuri kolong yang mendekati arah ke Kali Ciliwung. Di bawah kolong yang mulai terang, saya menyaksikan banyak kucing berkeliaran dan bermain-main dengan sangat asyik. Lalu tampak seseorang dengan pandangan kosong sedang duduk di antara kucing-kucing itu. Saya hampiri beliau, namanya Pak Ahmad. Ternyata beliau adalah ‘perawat’ kucing-kucing itu. Dada saya tiba-tiba terasa sesak. Bukan karena bau aroma kolong ataupun kotornya tempat itu. Namun karena obrolan saya dengan lelaki di depan saya ini. Cerita terus berlanjut, Pak Ahmad yang pekerjaan sehariannya hanya memulung, selalu memikirkan makan 47 ekor kucing yang telah dia selamatkan dari jalanan. Kucing yang sakit, kelaparan dan bahkan dibuang majikan, dia selamatkan seorang diri.
Bayangkan!. Pak Ahmad, setiap sebelum subuh, jalan untuk mengais-ngais barang bekas yang dia kumpulkan guna membeli lauk dan beras untuk kucing-kucingnya, tanpa memperdulikan kondisinya sendiri yang sebenarnya juga perlu diperhatikan. Ya Rabb….!!!
Semakin saya hanyut akan cerita Pak Ahmad. Ternyata beliau orang yang lebih mengerti bagaimana untuk bersyukur akan keberkahan dibandingkan diri kami yang masih banyak dosa yang kurang padai bersyukur ini. Bahkan, dia harus mengumpulkan uang berbulan-bulan untuk pengobatan kucing kecil yang ditemukan di jalan dalam kondisi kurus kering, karena sakit dan kelaparan.
Pernah Pak Ahmad membawa seekor kucing yang matanya sakit sampai buta sebelah ke pet shop di daerah Tebet. Namun apa yang terjadi?. Dokter hewan yang ada di pet shop itu selalu menolaknya. Tak mengenal lelah, dia terus memohon berkali-kali. Saya membayangkan Pak Ahmad dengan tampang yang lusuh dan dengan tentengan karung di tangan dan uang seadanya, bolak-balik sampai 5 kali ke pet shop itu.
Saya mulai nggak kuat mendengar cerita Pak Ahmad. Saya rogoh kantong belakang celana saya mengambil sapu tangan. Tapi saya urungkan. Saya harus kuat menahan agar Pak Ahmad terus bisa melanjutkan kisahnya. Alhasil, di kunjungan ke 6, kucingnya bisa diobati dengan uang sebesar 600 ribu yang dia kumpulkan dengan susah payah demi sembuhnya si kucing kecil yang mungil.
Ya Allah..
Maafkan dan ampuni hamba yang kurang bersyukur. Bahkan terkadang kucing yang tidur di depan rumah saya usir tanpa memperdulikan nasibnya.

Kucing kecil itu sekarang tumbuh sehat. Waktu terus berjalan dan saya harus segera bergegas ke kantor karena pagi ini ada kegiatan donor darah kantor kami di BNI Syariah Kantor Pusat.
Tak lupa saya pamit dan mendoakan Pak Ahmad agar tetap sehat dan terus semangat. Tak lupa saya selipkan rezeki yang saya dapat dari kantor untuk Pak Ahmad untuk sekedar tambahan membantu makan 47 kucing-kucing yang dirawat Pak Ahmad. Sambil jalan terburu-buru, Pak Ahmad memanggil saya. Namun terus saya berjalan lebih cepat menuju atas kolong jembatan. Dia terus berlari mengejar saya sambil menenteng kotak Hasanah Box, yang saya bagikan tadi. Hingga akhirnya langkah ini pun harus terhenti. Tiba-tiba dia menangis tersedu-sedu yang membuat saya heran dan kaget. Kemudian saya tanya beliau,
“Ada apa, Pak Ahmad?”
Ternyata dia hanya ingin mengucapkan terima kasih. “Sudah Pak Ahmad, yang sabar dan tetap semangat” jawabku menenangkan Pak Ahmad. Tapi dari mulutnya terucap kata-kata berpisahan. Kerongkongan ini serasa kering. Bibir kaku dan bergemetar, mata saya mulai berkaca-kaca. Dada saya terasa semakin sesak. Ingin rasanya memeluk Pak Ahmad sambil mengelus punggungnya untuk menguatkan dirinya. Ternyata Pak Ahmad beberapa hari ini belum makan. Semuanya diberikan ke kucing-kucingnya.
Ya Allah.. Ya Rabb..
Jadikanlah hamba ahli bersyukur dengan segala nikmat yang Kau berikan. Ampuni kami ya Rabb, sayangi kami ya Rabb.
Saya harus meninggalkan Pak Ahmad karena ojek yang saya pesan sudah menunggu lama di atas kolong jembatan. Di atas motor, dengan dada terasa sesak air mata ini tumpah sejadi-jadinya tanpa bisa menahan di sepanjang perjalanan.
