Sudah banyak diulas tentang masalah Sedekah oleh para pakarnya, namun pada kesempatan kali ini, izinkan kami berbagi dengan saudara muslim semua nya.
1. Sarana Untuk Membersihkan Harta dan Menyucikan Hati
Perhatikanlah Firman Allah subhanahu wata’ala artinya,
“Ambillah shadaqah (zakat) dari sebagian harta mereka, dengan shadaqah (zakat) itu kamu membersihkan dan menyucikan mereka, dan berdo’alah untuk mereka. Sesungguhnya doa kamu itu (menjadi) ketentraman jiwa bagi mereka. Dan Allah Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Mengetahui.” (QS. At-Taubah: 103)
Imam An-Nawawi rahimahullah mengatakan, “Membersihkan mereka” adalah membersihkan mereka dari dosa-dosa dan sifat bakhil. Sedangkan “menyucikan mereka” yaitu mengangkat derajat mereka kepada derajat mukmin dan mukhlis. (Riyadhush Shalihin)
2. Merupakan Karakter Orang yang Bertaqwa dan Orang yang Ihsan (Muhsin)
Perhatikanlah Firman Allah subhanahu wata’ala artinya,
“Dan bersegeralah kamu kepada ampunan dari Rabbmu dan kepada surga yang luasnya seluas langit dan bumi yang disediakan untuk orang-orang yang bertaqwa. (Yaitu) orang-orang yang menafkahkan (hartanya), baik di waktu lapang maupun sempit, dan orang-orang yang menahan amarahnya dan memaafkan (kesalahan) orang lain. Dan Allah menyukai orang-orang yang berbuat ihsan (muhsin).” (QS. Ali Imron: 133-134)

5. Merupakan Ciri Khas Seorang Mukmin
Perhatikanlah Firman Allah subhanahu wata’ala artinya,
“Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang beriman itu adalah mereka yang apabila disebut nama Allah gemetarlah hati mereka, dan apabila dibacakan kepada mereka Ayat-ayat-Nya, bertambahlah iman mereka (karenanya) dan kepada Rabblah mereka bertawakkal. (Yaitu) orang-orang yang mendirikan shalat dan yang menafkahkan sebagian dari rezeki yang Kami berikan kepada mereka. Itulah orang-orang yang beriman dengan sebenar-benarnya. Mereka akan memperoleh beberapa derajat ketinggian di sisi Rabbnya dan ampunan serta rezeki (nikmat) yang mulia.” (QS. Al-Anfaal: 2-4)
Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam bersabda, “Shodaqoh adalah bukti.” (HR Muslim). Imam An-Nawawi rahimahullah mengatakan, “Shadaqah Adalah Bukti” Artinya adalah bukti dari kejujuran iman dan keikhlasan seseorang dengan bershadaqah.
6. Shadaqah Berarti Memberikan Pinjaman kepada Allah, Maka Pinjaman tersebut Pasti Allah Kembalikan dengan Berbagai Macam Cara
Perhatikanlah firman Allah subhanahu wata’ala artinya,
“Siapakah yang mau memberi pinjaman kepada Allah, pinjaman yang baik (yaitu menafkahkan hartanya di jalan Allah), maka Allah akan memperlipatgandakan pembayaran kepadanya dengan kelipatan yang banyak. Dan Allah menyempitkan dan melapangkan (rezeki) serta kepada-Nya kamu dikembalikan.” (QS. Al-Baqarah: 245)
Silahkan periksa juga firman Allah subhanahu wata’ala dalam surat Al-Hadiid: 18 dan surat At-Taghaabun: 17.
7. Shadaqah termasuk Berjihad dengan Harta
Perhatikanlah Firman Allah subhanahu wata’ala artinya,
“Orang-orang yang beriman dan berhijrah serta berjihad di jalan Allah dengan harta benda dan diri mereka, adalah lebih tinggi derajatnya di sisi Allah. Dan itulah orang-orang yang mendapatkan kemenangan.” (QS. At-Taubah: 20)
8. Shadaqah Mendatangkan Keberuntungan dan Kemudahan di Dunia dan di Akhirat
Perhatikanlah Firman Allah subhanahu wata’ala artinya,
“Maka bertaqwalah kamu kepada Allah menurut kesanggupanmu, dengarlah dan taatlah; serta nafkahkanlah nafkah yang baik untuk dirimu. Dan barangsiapa yang dipelihara dari kekikiran dirinya, maka mereka itulah orang-orang yang beruntung.” (QS. At-Taghabun: 16)
Firman Allah subhanahu wata’ala dalam ayat yang lain, artinya,
“Adapun orang yang memberikan (hartanya di jalan Allah) dan bertaqwa. Dan membenarkan adanya pahala yang terbaik (surga). Maka Kami kelak akan menyiapkan baginya jalan yang mudah.” (QS. Al-Lail: 5-8)
9. Orang yang Bershadaqah Mendapat Naungan Allah subhanahu wata’ala Pada Hari Kiamat
Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam menjelaskan hal itu sebagaimana terdapat dalam hadits yang bersumber dari Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu ‘anhu berikut ini, “Ada tujuh golongan yang akan dinaungi oleh Allah pada hari yang tiada naungan kecuali naungan-Nya.” Beliau menyebutkan salah satunya adalah seorang yang bershadaqah secara diam-diam (sembunyi), sehingga apa yang diinfakkan oleh tangan kanannya tidak diketahui oleh tangan kirinya. (Muttafaqun ‘Alaihi)
10. Shadaqah Itu Sendiri Juga Akan Menaungi Seseorang di Hari Kiamat
Yazid Bin Abi Habib menceritakan bahwa Abu Khair bercerita: bahwa sesungguhnya dia pernah mendengar Uqbah Bin Amir radhiyallahu ‘anhu berkata, “Saya mendengar Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam bersabda, “Setiap orang akan berada di bawah naungan shadaqahnya (pada hari Kiamat), sehingga diputuskan perkara terhadap manusia atau ditegakkan hukum di antara manusia.”
Yazid berkata, “Abu Khair setiap kali dia berbuat kekhilafan, maka dia akan bershadaqah (untuk menutupi kesalahannya tersebut) meskipun hanya dengan sepotong kue atau sebutir bawang atau yang lainnya.” (Ahmad: 16695, dishahihkan oleh Syekh Al-Albani)
11. Shadaqah Menjadi Penghalang dan Penghijab Seseorang dari Neraka
Dari Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri radhiyallahu ‘anhu, dia berkata, “Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam keluar ke tanah lapang pada hari Raya Qurban atau Fitri, kemudian selesai melaksanakan sholat beliau khutbah, di dalam nasehatnya kepada manusia, beliau memerintah-kan mereka untuk bershadaqah, seraya bersabda, “Wahai sekalian manusia bershadaqahlah kalian,” lalu beliau melewati kaum wanita, seraya bersabda, “Wahai kaum wanita bershadaqahlah kalian karena saya melihat kebanyakan penghuni neraka adalah dari kalian.” (HR. Al-Bukhari)
Dalam hadits lain yang diriwayatkan dari ‘Adi Bin Hatim radhiyallahu ‘anhu bahwa Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam bersabda, “Takutlah kalian kepada api nereka walau hanya bershadaqah dengan setengah butir korma.” (HR. Al-Bukhori)
12. Memberikan Menu Berbuka kepada Seorang yang Berpuasa, Maka Mendapatkan Pahala Seperti Orang yang Berpuasa Tersebut
Hal ini dijelaskan dalam hadits yang diriwayatkan dari Zaid Bin Khalid Al-Juhaimi radhiyallahu ‘anhu, dia berkata, “Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam, bersabda, “Barangsiapa yang menyediakan menu untuk berbuka puasa bagi seorang yang puasa, maka dia akan mendapatkan pahala seperti pahala orang yang berpuasa tersebut tanpa mengurangi pahala yang diperoleh oleh orang berpuasa.” (HR. At-Tirmidzi dan Abu ‘Isa berkata, “Hadits ini hasan shahih)
13. Shadaqah yang Diiringi dengan Puasa, Perkataan Baik dan Shalat Malam akan Memuluskan Jalan Seseorang ke Surga
Tentang hal ini perhatikanlah hadits yang bersumber dari Nu’man Bin Sa’ad, beliau meriwayatkan dari Ali Bin Abi Thalib radhiyallahu ‘anhu, beliau berkata, “Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam, bersabda, “Sesungguhnya di dalam surga ada ruangan-ruangan yang bagian luarnya terlihat dari dalam dan bagian dalamnya terlihat dari luar”, lalu seorang badui bertanya, “Untuk siapa ruangan-ruangan itu wahai Rasulullah?” Lalu beliau menjawab, “Untuk siapa saja yang berkata baik, memberi makanan, selalu berpuasa dan melakukan qiyamul lail (sholat malam) sedang orang-orang dalam keadaan tidur.” (HR. At-Tirmidzi dan Abu ‘Isa berkata: hadits hasan gharib)
14. Shadaqah Mendatangkan Keberkahan karena Do’a Malaikat untuk Sang Dermawan
Dari Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu ‘anhu, beliau mengatakan, bahwa Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam, bersabda,
“Tiada suatu hari yang dilewati oleh hamba-hamba Allah kecuali ada dua malaikat yang turun, salah satunya berdo’a, “Ya Allah berikanlah ganti kepada seorang yang dermawan”, dan yang satunya lagi berdo’a,” Ya Allah berikanlah kehancuran kepada orang yang kikir.” (Muttafaqun ‘Alaihi)
15. Harta Tidak Akan Berkurang karena Dishadaqahkan, Justru Allah Menyuburkannya
Allah subhanahu wata’ala berfirman, artinya,
“Allah memusnahkan riba dan menyuburkan shodaqoh. Dan Allah tidak menyukai setiap orang yang tetap dalam kekafiran dan selalu berbuat dosa.” (QS. Al-Baqarah: 276)
Perhatikan juga hadits yang diriwayatkan dari Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu ‘anhu, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam bersabda, “Shadaqah tiada akan mengurangi harta.” (HR. Ibnu Hibban dan Ibnu Kuzaimah)
16. Shadaqah Dapat Meredam Murka Allah Sekaligus Menghantarkan Seseorang untuk Memperoleh Husnul Khatimah
Diriwayatkan dari Anas Bin Malik radhiyallahu ‘anhu, dia berkata, “Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam, bersabda, “Sesungguhnya shadaqah itu dapat meredam murka (kemarahan) Rabb (Allah) dan shadaqah itu dapat menghindarkan seseorang dari kematian su’ul khotimah.” (HR. At-Tirmidzi dan Ibnu Hibban). Abu ‘Isa berkata: hadits ini hasan gharib.
17. Bershadaqah Walau Sekecil Apa pun, Nilainya Tetap Besar di sisi Allah
Dari Asma` radhiyallahu ‘anha, beliau berkata, Saya berkata (kepada Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam): “Ya Rasulullah! Saya tidak memiliki harta kecuali apa yang diberikan suamiku Zubair kepadaku, apakah saya juga bershadaqah?” Beliau menjawab, “Bersadaqahlah dan janganlah engkau terlalu memperhatikannya (memperhatikan kwantitasnya), sebab Allah tetap memberikan perhatian-Nya kepadamu.” (HR. Al-Bukhari dan Ibnu Hibban)
18. Allah subhanahu wata’ala Membebaskan Seseorang dari Kesulitan di hari Kiamat yang Membebaskan Orang yang Berhutang
Dari Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu ‘anhu, beliau berkata, “Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam bersabda, “Dahulu ada seorang laki-laki yang biasa memberikan hutang orang-orang, lalu dia berkata kepada pembantunya, “Jika engkau melihatnya kesulitan, maka bebaskanlah hutangnya, mudah-mudahan dengan hal itu Allah membebaskan kita (dari azab-Nya).” Beliau berkata, “Ketika dia meninggal dunia, maka Allah membebaskannya (dari azab-Nya).” (HR. Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Ahmad dan lain-lain)
19. Melapangkan Dada dan Menentramkan Hati.
20. Mengobati Penyakit Jasmani dan Rohani.
21. Meraih Sifat Qona’ah dan Tawadhdhu’.
22. Menyucikan Hati Pemberi Shadaqah dan Mendatangkan Rahmat Bagi Penerimanya
