Siapa yang menyangka, ternyata karena sebutir buah kurma seseorang harus menanggung dosa. Bukan dikalangan manusia biasa, hal ini justru dialami oleh Nabi. Adalah Nabi Ibrahim, meski bergelar Bapak para Nabi, tak lantas mendapat kompensasi dari sang Pencipta.
Ia tetap berdosa karena sebutir kurma. Bahkan, yang dilakukannya adalah tindakan tidak sengaja. Namun dosa tetap lah dosa, tidak peduli siapa pelakunya. Ia tetap akan menerima akibatnya. Doa yang selalu mustajab ditolak selama empat bulan lamanya.Nabi Ibahim bergegas mencari akar permasalahan.
Caranya adalah dengan mengunjugi si pemilik kurma yang tidak sengaja diambilnya dengan meminta maaf dan membayarnya. Namun celaka, sang pemilik kurma tersebut sudah meninggal. Bagaimana kisah selengkapnya?
Dalam bukunya Tazkirat-Ul Auliya dan dalam Buku Masnawi Karya Sufi Jalaluddin Rumi, kisah ini terjadi ketika Nabi Ibrahim as selesai melaksanakan ibadah haji. Beliau kemudian berencana untuk berziarah ke Masjidil Aqsha. Untuk membekali diri sepanjang perjalanan, sang Nabi kemudian membeli satu kilo kurma kepada seorang pedangan di wilayah Masjidil Haram.
Setelah mengetahui kurmanya sudah dibungkus, Nabi Ibrahim melihat ada satu butir kurma yang jatuh dekat dengan timbangan. Merasa itu adalah kurma miliknya, sang Nabi kemudian memakan kurma tersebut. Tanpa berdosa dan tanpa merasa bersalah, mengingat kurma tersebut bagian yang terjatuh, maka Nabi pun melanjutkan kehidupannya seperti biasa.
Empat bulan setelah kejadian tersebut, Nabi Ibrahim baru tiba di Al Aqsa. Sesampainya disana, beliau mencari lokasi yang hening agar khusus dalam berdoa dan beribadah kepada Allah SWT. Ternyata dalam keheningannya, Ia justru mendengar dua malaikat bercerita tentang dirinya.
“Itu, Ibrahim bin Adham, ahli ibadah yang zuhud dan wara yang doanya selalu dikabulkan ALLAH SWT,” kata malaikat yang satu. “Tetapi sekarang tidak lagi. doanya ditolak karena 4 bulan yang lalu ia memakan sebutir kurma yang jatuh dari meja seorang pedagang tua di dekat mesjidil haram,” jawab malaikat yang satu lagi.
Mendengar hal itu, Nabi kaget bukan kepalang. Dari percakapan tersebut, bisa jadi selama empat bulan semua ibadahnya tidak diterima Allah. Hal ini hanya karena sebutir kurma. Menyesali tindakannya akhirnya Nabi Ibrahim berencana kembali ke Masjidil Haram untuk menemui sang penjual dan meminta maaf.
Namunu celaka, karena sang penjual ternyata sudah meninggal dunia. Ditempat pedagaagang kurma yang pernah dibelinya tersebut dijaga oleh seorang anak muda. Ternyata Ia adalah anak sang penjual.
“4 bulan yang lalu saya membeli kurma disini dari seorang pedagang tua. kemana ia sekarang?” tanya Ibrahim.
“Sudah meninggal sebulan yang lalu, saya sekarang meneruskan pekerjaannya berdagang kurma” jawab anak muda itu.
“Innalillahi wa innailaihi roji’un, kalau begitu kepada siapa saya meminta penghalalan ?”.
Lantas ibrahim menceritakan peristiwa yg dialaminya, anak muda itu mendengarkan penuh minat. “Nah, begitulah” kata ibrahim setelah bercerita, “Engkau sebagai ahli waris orangtua itu, maukah engkau menghalalkan sebutir kurma milik ayahmu yang terlanjur ku makan tanpa izinnya?”.
“Bagi saya tidak masalah. Insya Allah saya halalkan. Tapi entah dengan saudara-saudara saya yang jumlahnya 11 orang. Saya tidak berani mengatasnamakan mereka karena mereka mempunyai hak waris sama dengan saya.”
Ya Allah, perkara yang biasa kita sepelekan ini ternyata berdampak panjang. Namun Nabi Ibrahim tidak patah arang. Ampunan Allah lebih penting dibanding rasa letih dan malas untuk mencari kesebelas orang tersebut.
“Dimana alamat saudara-saudaramu ? biar saya temui mereka satu persatu.”
Setelah menerima alamat, ibrahim bin adham pergi menemui. Biar berjauhan, akhirnya selesai juga. Semua setuju menghalakan sebutir kurma milik ayah mereka yang termakan oleh ibrahim. 4 bulan kemudian, Ibrahim bin adham sudah berada dibawah kubah Sakhra. Tiba tiba ia mendengar dua malaikat yang dulu terdengar lagi bercakap cakap.
“Itulah ibrahim bin adham yang doanya tertolak gara gara makan sebutir kurma milik orang lain.”
“O, tidak.., sekarang doanya sudah makbul lagi, ia telah mendapat halalan dari ahli waris pemilik kurma itu. Diri dan jiwa Ibrahim kini telah bersih kembali dari kotoran sebutir kurma yang haram karena masih milik orang lain. Sekarang ia sudah bebas.”
Selama ini pikiran kita hanya yang jelas haram baru berbuah dosa. Ternyata, jangankan yang haram, secuil syubhat pun sudah cukup membuktikan, siapa yang akan menjadi penghuni surga dan neraka itu.
