Dalam rangka mencegah keburukan dan kerusakan besar akibat hubungan yang tidak halal ini, agama Islam mengharamkan semua sebab yang menjerumuskan ke dalam perbuatan buruk ini, di antaranya (Hiraasatul fadhiilah, hlm. 101-102).
1- Diharamkannya menemui perempuan yang tidak halal dan berduaan dengannya, termasuk berduaan dengan sopir di mobil, dengan pembantu di rumah, dengan dokter di tempat prakteknya dan lain-lain.
Banyak dalil yang menunjukkan hal ini, di antaranya sabda Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam,
“Tidaklah sekali-kali seorang laki-laki berduaan dengan seorang perempuan kecuali setan akan menjadi yang ketiga.” ((HR Tirmidzi 2165, Ahmad (1/26), dan dishahihkan al-Albani)
2- Diharamkannya bersafar (melakukan perjalanan jauh) bagi perempuan tanpa laki-laki yang menjadi mahramnya (suami, ayah, paman atau saudara laki-lakinya).
Dalil yng menunjukkan hal ini juga banyak sekali, di antaranya sabda Rasulullah : “Janganlah sekali-kali seorang perempuan bersafar kecuali bersama dengan mahramnya.” (HR. Bukhari 2844 dan Muslim 1341)
3- Diharamkannya memandang dengan sengaja kepada lawan jenis, berdasarkan firman Allah :
قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى لَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ. وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا
“Katakanlah kepada laki-laki yang beriman: “Hendaklah mereka menahan pandangan mereka, dan memelihara kemaluannya; yang demikian itu adalah lebih suci bagi mereka, sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang mereka perbuat”. Dan katakanlah kepada wanita yang beriman: “Hendaklah mereka menahan pandangan mereka, dan memelihara kemaluan mereka, dan janganlah mereka menampakkan perhiasan mereka kecuali yang (biasa) nampak dari mereka” (QS an-Nuur: 30-31).
4- Diharamkannya menemui seorang perempuan tanpa mahram, meskipun dia saudara suami (ipar), berdasarkan sabda Rasulullah : “Waspadalah kalian (dari perbuatan) menemui perempuan (tanpa mahram)”. Ada yang bertanya: Wahai Rasulullah , bagaimana dengan al-hamwu (ipar dan kerabat suami lainnya)? Rasulullah bersabda “al-Hamwu adalah kebinasaan.” (HR Bukhari 4934 dan Muslim 2172)
Artinya: fitnah yang ditimbulkannya lebih besar karena bisanya seorang perempuan menganggap biasa jika berduaan dengan kerabat suaminya. (Simak Fathul Baari, 9/332).
5- Diharamkannya laki-laki menyentuh perempuan, meskipun untuk berjabat tangan. Pembahasan ini akan kami uraikan dengan lebih rinci insya Allah.
Berdasarkan sabda Rasulullah : “Sungguh jika kepala seorang laki-laki ditusuk dengan jarum dari besi lebih baik baginya dari pada dia menyentuh seorang perempuan yang tidak halal baginya” (HR Thabarani dalam al-Kabiir 486 dan ar-Ruyani al-Musnad (2/227), dihasankan al-Albani).
6- Diharamkannya laki-laki yang menyerupai perempuan dan sebaliknya. Berdasarkan hadits berikut: Dari shahabat yang mulia, Abdullah bin ‘Abbas , beliau berkata: “Rasulullah melaknat laki-laki yang menyerupai perempuan dan melaknat perempuan yang menyerupai laki2″[14].
7- Disyariatkan dan dianjurkannya bagi kaum perempuan untuk shalat di rumah dan itu lebih baik/utama daripada shalat mereka di masjid, dalam rangka menghindari fitnah yang timbul jika mereka sering keluar rumah. Rasulullah bersabda: “Janganlah kalian melarang para wanita (untuk melaksanakan shalat) di masjid, meskipun (shalat mereka) di rumah-rumah mereka lebih baik bagi mereka.” (HR al-Bukhari 5546).
8- Diharamkannya perempuan sering keluar rumah tanpa ada keperluan yang dibenarkan dalam syariat dengan syarat tidak berdandan dan bersolek karena akan menimbulkan fitnah bagi laki-laki. Allah berfirman,
وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَى، وَأَقِمْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآَتِينَ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِعْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ، إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا
“Dan hendaklah kalian (wahai istri-istri Nabi) menetap di rumah-rumah kalian dan janganlah kalian bertabarruj (sering keluar rumah dengan berhias dan bertingkah laku) seperti (kebiasaan) wanita-wanita Jahiliyah yang dahulu, dan dirikanlah shalat, tunaikanlah zakat dan taatilah Allah dan Rasul-Nya. Sesungguhnya Allah bermaksud hendak menghilangkan dosa dari kamu, hai ahlul bait (istri-istri Nabi) dan membersihkan kamu sebersih-bersihnya” (QS al-Ahzaab:33).
Dan dalam hadits yang shahih Rasulullah bersabda: “Sesungguhnya wanita adalah aurat, maka jika dia keluar (rumah) setan akan mengikutinya (menghiasainya agar menjadi fitnah bagi laki-laki), dan keadaanya yang paling dekat dengan Rabbnya (Allah ) adalah ketika dia berada di dalam rumahnya.” (HR Ibnu Khuzaimah 1685), Ibnu Hibban 5599) dan dishahihkan al-Albani).
9- Diharamkannya perempuan keluar rumah dengan memakai wangi-wangian dalam bentuka apapun, karena akan menimbulkan fitnah yang besar. Rasulullah betrsabda: “Seorang wanita, siapapun dia, jika dia (keluar rumah dengan) memakai wangi-wangian, lalu melewati kaum laki-laki agar mereka mencium bau wanginya maka wanita adalah seorang pezina.” (HR. an-Nasa’i 5126), Ahmad (4/413), dihasankan al-Albani)

Dalam rangka mencegah keburukan dan kerusakan besar akibat hubungan yang tidak halal ini, agama Islam mengharamkan semua sebab yang menjerumuskan ke dalam perbuatan buruk ini, di antaranya (Hiraasatul fadhiilah, hlm. 101-102).
1- Diharamkannya menemui perempuan yang tidak halal dan berduaan dengannya, termasuk berduaan dengan sopir di mobil, dengan pembantu di rumah, dengan dokter di tempat prakteknya dan lain-lain.
Banyak dalil yang menunjukkan hal ini, di antaranya sabda Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam,
“Tidaklah sekali-kali seorang laki-laki berduaan dengan seorang perempuan kecuali setan akan menjadi yang ketiga.” ((HR Tirmidzi 2165, Ahmad (1/26), dan dishahihkan al-Albani)
2- Diharamkannya bersafar (melakukan perjalanan jauh) bagi perempuan tanpa laki-laki yang menjadi mahramnya (suami, ayah, paman atau saudara laki-lakinya).
Dalil yng menunjukkan hal ini juga banyak sekali, di antaranya sabda Rasulullah : “Janganlah sekali-kali seorang perempuan bersafar kecuali bersama dengan mahramnya.” (HR. Bukhari 2844 dan Muslim 1341)
3- Diharamkannya memandang dengan sengaja kepada lawan jenis, berdasarkan firman Allah :
قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى لَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ. وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا
“Katakanlah kepada laki-laki yang beriman: “Hendaklah mereka menahan pandangan mereka, dan memelihara kemaluannya; yang demikian itu adalah lebih suci bagi mereka, sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang mereka perbuat”. Dan katakanlah kepada wanita yang beriman: “Hendaklah mereka menahan pandangan mereka, dan memelihara kemaluan mereka, dan janganlah mereka menampakkan perhiasan mereka kecuali yang (biasa) nampak dari mereka” (QS an-Nuur: 30-31).
4- Diharamkannya menemui seorang perempuan tanpa mahram, meskipun dia saudara suami (ipar), berdasarkan sabda Rasulullah : “Waspadalah kalian (dari perbuatan) menemui perempuan (tanpa mahram)”. Ada yang bertanya: Wahai Rasulullah , bagaimana dengan al-hamwu (ipar dan kerabat suami lainnya)? Rasulullah bersabda “al-Hamwu adalah kebinasaan.” (HR Bukhari 4934 dan Muslim 2172)
