Tidak ada dalil atau nash baik dari Al-Qur'an maupun hadits yang melarang orang yang sedang haid atau nifas untuk mandi keramas (membersihkan rambutnya). Yang tidak diperbolehkan adalah mandi keramas dengan niat untuk menghilangkan hadas haid dan nifasnya, padahal haid atau nifasnya belum selesai, sebab hal ini berarti telah bermain-main dalam ibadah (tala’ub).
Kemungkinan, rumor tidak bolehnya keramas bagi wanita haid atau nifas itu muncul karena khawatir ada rambut yang lepas pada saat rambut tersebut dalam status hadas dan tidak ikut disucikan ketika haid atau nifas telah putus (selesai). Rumor tersebut tidak benar, sebab menghilangkan rambut atau kuku pada saat haid atau nifas tidak sampai dilarang. Ulama hanya menganjurkan bagi orang yang sedang junub atau haid agar tidak menghilangkan bagian dari tubuhnya dengan sengaja sebelum mandi junub dilakukan.
2). Hukum Potong Rambut dan Kuku
Hukumnya boleh memotong rambut dan kuku bagi perempuan yang sedang haid dan tidak perlu mencuci rambut dan kuku yang sudah dipotong tersebut saat bersuci atau saat mandi junub/jinabat. Karena tidak ada dalil hadits maupun Quran yang melarang seorang perempuan yang sedang haid memotong kuku dan rambutnya.

1. Ibnu Hajar Al-Haitsami dalam kitab Tuhfatul Muhtaj fi Syarhil Minhaj (تحفة المحتاج في شرح المنهاج) V/56 menyatakan: النص على أن الحائض تأخذها " انتهى يعني الظفر والعانة والإبط

اخَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَأَهْلَلْنَا بِعُمْرَةٍ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلْيُهِلَّ بِالْحَجِّ مَعَ الْعُمْرَةِ ، ثُمَّ لا يُحِلَّ حَتَّى يُتِمَّهُمَا جَمِيعًا قَالَتْ : فَقَدِمْتُ مَكَّةَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَلَمْ أَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ وَلا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، فَشَكَوْتُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " انْقُضِي رَأْسَكِ وَامْتَشِطِي وَأَهِلِّي بِالْحَجِّ وَدَعِي الْعُمْرَةَ
Arti kesimpulan: Nabi memerintahkan Aisyah untuk menyisir rambut pada saat haid ( وَامْتَشِطِي).
Seperti diketahui, menyisir rambut sangat berpotensi menggugurkan rambut. Itu artinya Nabi mengijinkan perempuan menggugurkan rambutnya saat haid.
Menurut madzhab Syafi'i, perempuan haid boleh memotong kuku, bulu kemaluan, dan bulu ketiak.
3. Ibnu Taimiyah dalam Majmuk al-Fatawa (21/120) menyatakan: وما أعلم على كراهية إزالة شعر الجنب وظفره دليلا شرعيا
Artinya: saya tidak menemukan dalil syar'i atas makruhnya menghilangkan rambut dan memotong kuku bagi orang junub.
