Syirik Kecil berkaitan erat dengan amalan hati kita, sehingga dosa ini tak nampak jika dilihat secara langsung.
Tak jarang kita melupakaan dosa-dosa yang telah kita perbuat atau bahkan tak menganggapnya dosa. Salah satu dosa yang sering luput dari perhatian manusia adalah syirik kecil atau syirik ashghar.
Syirik Kecil berkaitan erat dengan amalan hati kita, sehingga dosa ini tak nampak jika dilihat secara langsung.
Tanpa sadar bisa saja kita telah masuk ke dalam lubang dosa syirik kecil. Kita tak sadar bila hati kita ternyata sudah atau pernah condong ke selain Allah SWT.
Ibnu ‘Abbas radhiyallahu ‘anhuma berkata, “(Menjadikan) ‘andaad’ [sekutu-sekutu] adalah berbuat syirik, (dosa) yang lebih samar daripada jejak semut yang merayap di atas batu hitam dalam kegalapan malam."
Contoh Syirik Kecil
Setelah membaca penjelasan di atas, kita perlu mengetahui contoh – contoh syirik kecil agar kita terhindar dari dosa yang sangat halus ini.
Berikut contoh syirik kecil yang harus kita hindari:
1. Mengharapkan Dunia saat Beribadah
Dosa ini terjadi saat kita melaksanakan ibadah makhdoh (sholat, haji, puasa, dll) namun hanya mengharapkan dunia saja, tidak ada niat untuk mencari ridho Allah SWT.
Contohnya ketika kita sangat rajin menuntut ilmu agama, namun niat kita bukan karena Allah ta’ala, melainkan hanya karena ingin mendapatkan ijazahnya saja.
Namun, jika kita beribadah karena Allah SWT dan mengharapkan dunia, maka hukumnya boleh. Karena ibadahnya kita tujukan kepada Allah SWT, dan berharap hanya kepada Allah ta’ala untuk mendapatkan kesuksesan dunia.
2. Riya’ dalam Ibadah
Contoh syirik kecil yang kedua adalah Riya’. Riya’ merupakan tindakan pamer atau memperlihatkan amalah ibadah yang kita lakukan kepada orang lain dengan tujuan mendapatkan pujian.
Jika tidak ada orang lain yang meliihat, si pelaku riya’ akan malas-malasan beribadah bahkan tidak melaksanakannya sama sekali. Namun ketika dilihat banyak orang, maka dia akan rajin dalam beribadah.
Nabi Muhammad SAW bersabda, “Maukah kamu kuberitahu tentang suatu yang lebih aku khawatirkan menimpa kalian daripada fitnah Dajjal? Para sahabat berkata, “Tentu saja". Rasullullah SAW bersabda, “Syirik yang tersembunyi, yaitu ketika seseorang berdiri mengerjakan shalat, dia perbagus shalatnya karena mengetahui ada orang lain yang memperhatikannya." (H.R Ahmad)
3. Menganggap Sesuatu sebagai Penyebab Kesialan (Tathoyyur)
Tathoyyur merupakan contoh syirik kecil berikutnya. Dosa ini terjadi ketika kita menganggap benda tertentu atau seseorang bisa membawa kesialan bagi kita.
Contohnya pada masa jahiliyyah dahulu, orang-orang akan melepaskan seekor burung sebelum mereka bepergian.
Ketika burung terbang ke kanan, maka dianggap sebagai pertanda baik. Begitupun sebaliknya, jika burung terbang ke kiri orang-orang akan batal pergi, karena menganggap kesialan akan menimpa mereka.
4. Bersumpah dengan Nama Selain Allah SWT
Kita tidak boleh main-main dengan sumpah, karena sumpah merupakan pengagungan pada nama yang digunakan untuk bersumpah.

Oleh sebab itu, barangsiapa melakukan sumpah dengan nama selain Allah SWT, berarti dai telah berbuat kesyirikan. Karena dia sudah menjadikan sesuatu sebagai tandingan bagi Allah SWT.
Rasullullah SAW bersabda,"Barangsiapa bersumpah dengan nama selain Allah, maka dia telah berbuat kekafiran dan berbuat syirik. (HR. Tardidzi no. 1535)
Syirik yang dimaksud adalah syirik kecil, karena orang yang bersumpah dengan selain nama Allah SWT, bisa saja tidak berniat mengagungkan nama yang dia gunakan dalam sumpahnya.
Namun jika dia mengagungkan nama dalam sumpahnya secara berlebihan, hingga menyamai pengagungan terhadap Allah SWT, maka pelaku bisa terjerumus ke dalam dosa besar (syirik akbar).
Demikianlah contoh syirik kecil, semoga kita terhindar dari dosa–dosa syirik kecil dan semoga Allah SWT mengampuni dosa-dosa yang telah kita perbuat, baik yang disengaja maupun tidak disengaja.
