Namun, kata orang bijak, "You are what you eat".
Belakangan aku tahu bahwa hal itu tidak hanya berlaku untuk makanan perut, tapi juga "makanan pikiran".
Apa yang telah kita masukkan dalam pikiran, jiwa, dan hati kita selama ini menentukan seperti apa diri kita.
Lalu pernahkah bertanya, yang aku telan selama ini lebih banyak racun atau gizinya? Pantas kalau diri kita masih gini-gini saja.
Ternyata ini sebabnya.
Perhatikan, kondisi "sumber makanan pikiran" kita semakin tercemari.
Aku lelah menjelaskan pada satu persatu orang tentang negatifnya menyebarkan hoax dan kebohongan.
Kita juga tidak pernah kehabisan alasan untuk saling membenci. Apa-apa dijadikan 'amunisi'.
Sama-sama manusia, kalau beda negara rusuh. Sama-sama Indonesia, kalau beda agama rusuh.
Sama agamanya, beda pandangan juga rusuh.
Terus gimana nih maunya?

Kalau Dia mau, Dia bisa saja menjadikan semua manusia 'serupa' dalam segala hal.

Aku sendiri tidak pernah mengunfriend yang beda pandangan, aku dan kamu bisa bersahabat walaupun kita tidak sepakat.
Pernah lihat orang yang penuh permusuhan hidupnya tenang?
Bagaimana kita berharap ada bunga yang tumbuh di atas kawah berapi?
Yang dirahmati Tuhan adalah hubungan, bukan permusuhan.
Unity in diversity.
Yang aku heran, apa-apa dijadikan perdebatan.
Seperti ritual medsos tahunan, mulai dari ucapan natal, perayaan valentine, bahkan juga jumlah peserta unjuk rasa!
Diri ini merasa lebih baik karena pihak lain terlihat lebih buruk.
Kita merasa senang atas ketidakbaikan orang.
Tuhan mana yang mendukung karakter seperti itu?
Padahal, this too shall pass.
Semua hal pasti akan berlalu sendiri silih berganti.
10 tahun lagi, apakah yang kita pertengkarkan ini lebih berharga daripada hubungan baik kita?
Padahal, kata "musuh" hanyalah ilusi, sebuah sekat yang kita buat sendiri.
Tuhan tidak mengatakan bahwa Ia hanya dekat dengan pembuluh nadi orang beragama X dan bersuku Y, Tuhan dekat dengan pembuluh nadi semua orang.
Sudah lupa, ya?
Yang aneh adalah, jika tidak pro pokoknya salah! Kontra salah, netral pun juga disalahkan.
Tidak ada hal lain yang ditunjukkan kecuali sifat kekanak-kanakan.
Boikot terhadap produk perusahaan raksasa tidak akan berpengaruh sedikitpun pada owner-owner atas yang sudah kaya raya, yang kalian bahayakan adalah penjual-penjual kecil yang masih bingung cari makan tiap harinya, yang mereka bahkan tidak tahu apa-apa tentang kebijakan perusahaan.
Ada sebuah peribahasa Cina yang layak untuk kita renungkan. "Menyimpan dendam seperti meminum racun tapi berharap orang lain yang mati."
Buddha pun berkata, "Anda tidak dihukum KARENA kemarahan Anda, Anda dihukum OLEH kemarahan Anda."
Jika tetap tidak bisa mengendalikan kemarahan? DIAM!
Setidaknya kemarahan kita tidak akan menjadi sebab kemarahan orang lain.

Dan aku tahu,
Memang ada saatnya memproteksi diri. Ada saatnya mempertahankan kenyamanan pribadi.
Tapi bagiku, ada juga saatnya untuk mencapai tujuan yang lebih tinggi. Karena itu, aku tidak akan pergi dari sini :)
