Pembubaran kajian bedah buku sekaligus buka puasa bersama para muallaf dan aktivis anti pemurtadan yang diadakan oleh forum silaturahmi umat & Alumni 212 Se-Cirebon Raya, mulai menuai reaksi dari umat Islam.
Dari informasi yang dikabarkan oleh saksi mata staf Komnas Anti Pemurtadan, Rifai Iwan, menyebutkan, diantara Ormas yang diduga ikut terlibat melakukan pengepungan Masjid Baturrohim, tempat digelarkan acara kajian dan buka puasa bersama, adalah Gerakan Masyarakat Bawah Indonesia (GMBI).
“Tepat pukul 12.43 WIB banyak anggota polisi disertai Ormas GMBI dan Macan Ali datang langsung membentuk formasi mengepung Masjid Baiturrohim, ketika salah satu dari kami (Ustadz Andi Mulya) keluar pintu masjid beliau langsung ditarik dan dipaksa untuk masuk ke dalam mobil, kemudian diikuti dengan semua panitia beserta Ust Bernard Abdul Jabbar selaku pemateri juga ikut di bawa ke Polres Cirebon Kota,” kata Rifai Iwan melalui pesan tertulis, sebelum dirinya ikut digelandang bersama para aktivis Islam lainnya ke Polres Cirebon Kota, pada Ahad (18/6/2017).
Jika melihat track record, Ormas GMBI, tentu tak asing lagi. Beberapa waktu lalu, GMBI diduga melakukan tindakan anarkis penganiayan dan pengerusakan terhadap para santri, usai mengawal Ketua Pembina GNPF MUI, Habib Rizieq Syihab, ketika diperiksa di Polda Jawa Barat.
Menyikapi hal itu, Komandan Front Jihad Islam (FJI), Yogyakarta, Abdurrahman, mengecam pembubaran pengajian dan buka puasa bersama, serta penangkapan ulama. Ia juga bereaksi keras atas dugaan keterlibatan GMBI, yang diduga ikut serta dalam menzalimi ulama dan aktivis Islam.
“Kami seluruh DPP FJI dengan peristiwa ini menyatakan mengecam keras atas penangkapan beliau Ustadz Bernard Abdul Jabbar di Cirebon,” katanya kepada Panjimas.com, Ahad (18/6/2017).
Tak hanya itu, FJI juga menegaskan siap berangkat berjihad ke Cirebon, menghadapi GMBI, untuk membela para ulama dan aktivis Islam yang dizalimi. Menurut mereka sesama muslim bagaikan satu tubuh yang ikut merasakan sakit jika muslim yang lain tersakiti.
“Dan kami persiapkan berangkat untuk jihad fisabilillah membela umat Islam dan Ulama. Sesungguhnya sesama muslim itu saudara, dan umat Islam Cirebon saudara kami,” tandasnya.

“Semula acara ini bertempat di masjid Pertamina Klayan namun di pindah ke masjid Baiturrohim kota Cirebon akibat adanya penolakan dari Presdir Pertamina, pihak Kristen terutama para Pendeta dan Polda, namun setelah di pindah tempat, ternyata tetap masih ada intervensi dari aparat yang arogan meminta agar acara dibatalkan.” Ujar rifai Iwan.
Apabila tetap dilaksanakan maka mereka akan mengerahkan seluruh pasukan dan akan memproses seluruh orang yang ada di dalam masjid, hingga saat ini masih diupayakan untuk negosiasi dengan Kapolres agar acara tetap terlaksana namun dengan format yang berbeda, bukan bedah buku akan tetapi hanya santunan dan buka puasa bersama.
Namun pihak aparat tetap tidak mau bernegosiasi, dan tepat pukul 12.43 WIB banyak anggota polisi disertai Ormas GMBI dan Macan Ali datang langsung membentuk formasi mengepung Masjid Baiturrohim, ketika salah satu dari kami (Ust. Andi Mulya) keluar pintu masjid beliau langsung ditarik dan dipaksa untuk masuk ke dalam mobil, kemudian diikuti dengan semua panitia beserta Ust Bernard Abdul Jabbar selaku pemateri juga ikut di bawa ke Polres Cirebon Kota.
