Penghuni neraka dan penghuni surga kelak di hari kiamat akan berdialog dengan cukup seru. Kedua golongan tersebut terlibat pembicaraan yang harusnya menjadi perhatian umat manusia terutama kaum muslimin saat ini. Dalam dialog tersebut mereka yang telah merasakan keridhaan Allah bertanya kepada mereka yang dilanda kesengsaraan, “Amalan apa yang menjadikan sebab bagimu hingga dimasukkan ke dalam neraka?”
Dialog keduanya termuat dalam Al Quran surat Al Mudatstsir ayat 42-47. Terungkap sudah beberapa amalan yang membuat penghuni neraka terjerumus dalam siksaan yang begitu pedih dan menyiksa.
1. Tidak Mendirikan Shalat
Jawaban penghuni neraka atas pertanyaan penghuni surga yang pertama adalah karena tidak mendirikan shalat.
“Dahulu kami tidak termasuk orang-orang yang mendirikan shalat.” (Al Mudatstsir 43)
Dengan shalat, seorang hamba akan memiliki bukti bahwa ia beriman kepada Allah. Shalat pula merupakan amalan pertama yang akan dihisab sebelum amalan lainnya. Jika shalat itu baik, maka baik pula seluruh amalannya. Namun jika shalat itu buruk, buruk pula amalan lainnya. Dengan kata lain, shalat merupakan pembatas antara keimanan dengan kekafiran.
Sayyid Quthb dalam kitab Fi Zhilal Al Quran menuliskan bahwa, “Shalat merupakan implementasi akidah yang penting dan dijadikan sebagai simbol serta petunjuk keimanan.” Sehingga konsekuensinya adalah siapa yang berani meninggalkan shalat maka ia dihukumi kufur dan jelas bagi mereka tempat kesudahan yang buruk yakni dalam neraka yang mendidih.
Namun meski ada sebagian dari mereka yang mendirikan shalat, tidak semuanya bisa masuk dalam surgaNya Allah. Ini karena shalat yang mereka dirikan tidaklah berbekas. Dalam pengertian, shalat mereka tidak dibarengi dengan keshalihan secara sosial di dalam sebuah masyarakat.
2. Tidak Memberi Makan Orang yang Miskin
Ayat selanjutnya mengungkapkan sebab mereka menjadi penghuni neraka.
“Dan Kami tidak memberi makan kepada orang miskin.” (QS Al Mudatstsir 44)
Inilah implementasi dari shalat secara sosial. Sesungguhnya orang yang benar shalatnya akan memiliki kepekaan yang tinggi terhadap masalah sosial. Mereka akan menjadi yang terdepan dalam melakukan pelayanan umat. Berbeda dengan orang yang shalatnya tidak benar, mereka lebih banyak mementingkan diri sendiri sehari-harinya.
Makna ayat tersebut menunjuk kepada enggan untuk memberi makan orang miskin, meski Allah mengkaruniakan kepadanya harta yang berlimpah. Disebutkan oleh Sayyid Quthb bahwa inilah orang yang dalam hatinya berbenih sombong. Ia akan merendahkan siapa saja yang berada di bawahnya. Ia pun akan merasa lebih unggul dan lebih beruntung di atas kemuliaan dunia. Padahal secara hakikat, semuanya hanyalah titipan semata.

Penyebab ketiga yang menjerumuskan mereka adalah “Dan adalah kami membicarakan yang bathil bersama orang-orang yang membicarakannya.” (QS Al Mudatstsir 45)
Mereka gunakan lisan yang Allah karuniakan tersebut dengan jalan mendustakan ayat-ayat Allah. Mereka mengolok-olok dan melecehkan setiap ajaran yang tidak sesuai dengan nafsunya. Mereka membuat lisannya penuh dengn kejahatan dimana seharusnya mereka isi dengan keimanan dan ketakwaan kepada Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.
Sayyid Quthb berucap, “Mereka telah meremehkan urusan akidah dan hakikat iman serta menjadikannya bahan olokan dan pelecehan.” Ketahuilah sesungguhnya keimanan dan akidah merupakan perkara utama diatas persoalan yang lainnya.
4. Mendustakan Hari Pembalasan
Pengakuan penghuni neraka yang selanjutnya tentang sebab masuknya ke neraka adalah,
“Dan adalah kami mendustakan hari pembalasan.” (QS Al Mudatstsir 46)
Seorang Sayyid Quthb mengatakan bahwa poin yang keempat ini adalah pokok dari tiga poin sebelumnya. Dengan mendustakan hari pembalasan, menjadi sebab munculnya kerusakan.
Sayyid Quthb berkata, “Orang yang mendustakan hari pembalasan niscaya rusaklah semua timbangan, goncanglah tata niai menurut ukurannya dan sempitlah lapangan kehidupan dalam perasaannya.”
Seseorang yang mengingkari hari pembalasan sesungguhnya ia telah melampaui batas. Ia seakan berpikir bahwa dunia yang saat ini ditempati akan kekal selama-lamanya. Ia hanya mengisi hidupnya dengan berbagai kesenangan dunia yang sementara. Tak pernah terbesit dalam pikirannya bahwa akan ada kehidupan setelah kematian. Dengan demikian ia pun tak memiliki amal baik yang bisa menjadi bekal di akhirat yang kekal selamanya dan berakhir dalam neraka yang dijaga oleh para malaikat yang gagah dan tak pernah membangkang.
5. Tidak Bertaubat
Keempat perkara yang sebelumnya semakin lengkap dengan poin yang teakhir. Mereka hidup dalam kelalaian tanpa pernah mengingat untuk taubat sedikit pun hingga akhirnya ajal menjemput. Padahal Allah adalah Rabb yang maha penerima Taubat. Allah pula maha Pengampun dari dosa yang dilakukan oleh hambaNya yang hina.
“Hingga datang kepada kami kematian.” (QS Al Mudatstsir 47)
Kematianlah yang memutuskan segala keraguan dan menjadi pamungkas dari segala kebimbangan. Ianya adalah pemutus segala urusan yang tidak dapat ditolak lagi. Tak ada lagi taubat, tak ada lagi penyesalan dan tak ada lagi amal shaleh.
Hilang sudah, tiada ada kata pengulangan. Penyesalan hanya berbuah kesedihan. Mustahil untuk bisa kembali walau hanya sedetik demi bisa mengamalkan apa yang telah dilalaikannya.
Semoga Allah menhindarkan kita dari perkara yang dapat menjerumuskan ke dalam neraka. Sebuah perkara yang begitu diminati, dijejali dan disesaki oleh kebanyakan manusia yang hidup di dunia ini.
Dialog keduanya termuat dalam Al Quran surat Al Mudatstsir ayat 42-47. Terungkap sudah beberapa amalan yang membuat penghuni neraka terjerumus dalam siksaan yang begitu pedih dan menyiksa.
1. Tidak Mendirikan Shalat
Jawaban penghuni neraka atas pertanyaan penghuni surga yang pertama adalah karena tidak mendirikan shalat.
“Dahulu kami tidak termasuk orang-orang yang mendirikan shalat.” (Al Mudatstsir 43)
Dengan shalat, seorang hamba akan memiliki bukti bahwa ia beriman kepada Allah. Shalat pula merupakan amalan pertama yang akan dihisab sebelum amalan lainnya. Jika shalat itu baik, maka baik pula seluruh amalannya. Namun jika shalat itu buruk, buruk pula amalan lainnya. Dengan kata lain, shalat merupakan pembatas antara keimanan dengan kekafiran.
Sayyid Quthb dalam kitab Fi Zhilal Al Quran menuliskan bahwa, “Shalat merupakan implementasi akidah yang penting dan dijadikan sebagai simbol serta petunjuk keimanan.” Sehingga konsekuensinya adalah siapa yang berani meninggalkan shalat maka ia dihukumi kufur dan jelas bagi mereka tempat kesudahan yang buruk yakni dalam neraka yang mendidih.
Namun meski ada sebagian dari mereka yang mendirikan shalat, tidak semuanya bisa masuk dalam surgaNya Allah. Ini karena shalat yang mereka dirikan tidaklah berbekas. Dalam pengertian, shalat mereka tidak dibarengi dengan keshalihan secara sosial di dalam sebuah masyarakat.
2. Tidak Memberi Makan Orang yang Miskin
Ayat selanjutnya mengungkapkan sebab mereka menjadi penghuni neraka.
“Dan Kami tidak memberi makan kepada orang miskin.” (QS Al Mudatstsir 44)
Inilah implementasi dari shalat secara sosial. Sesungguhnya orang yang benar shalatnya akan memiliki kepekaan yang tinggi terhadap masalah sosial. Mereka akan menjadi yang terdepan dalam melakukan pelayanan umat. Berbeda dengan orang yang shalatnya tidak benar, mereka lebih banyak mementingkan diri sendiri sehari-harinya.
Makna ayat tersebut menunjuk kepada enggan untuk memberi makan orang miskin, meski Allah mengkaruniakan kepadanya harta yang berlimpah. Disebutkan oleh Sayyid Quthb bahwa inilah orang yang dalam hatinya berbenih sombong. Ia akan merendahkan siapa saja yang berada di bawahnya. Ia pun akan merasa lebih unggul dan lebih beruntung di atas kemuliaan dunia. Padahal secara hakikat, semuanya hanyalah titipan semata.
3. Bicara yang Bathil
Penyebab ketiga yang menjerumuskan mereka adalah “Dan adalah kami membicarakan yang bathil bersama orang-orang yang membicarakannya.” (QS Al Mudatstsir 45)

Kematianlah yang memutuskan segala keraguan dan menjadi pamungkas dari segala kebimbangan. Ianya adalah pemutus segala urusan yang tidak dapat ditolak lagi. Tak ada lagi taubat, tak ada lagi penyesalan dan tak ada lagi amal shaleh.
Hilang sudah, tiada ada kata pengulangan. Penyesalan hanya berbuah kesedihan. Mustahil untuk bisa kembali walau hanya sedetik demi bisa mengamalkan apa yang telah dilalaikannya.
Semoga Allah menhindarkan kita dari perkara yang dapat menjerumuskan ke dalam neraka. Sebuah perkara yang begitu diminati, dijejali dan disesaki oleh kebanyakan manusia yang hidup di dunia ini.
