Inilah sebuah kisah nyata yang mungkin bisa memberikan gambaran bagi para wanita tentang azab di tanah suci karena hal yang mungkin saja sudah biasa dilakukan namun tanpa disadari malah mengundang dosa.
Banyak sudah kita mendengar perihal penghuni neraka yang sebagian besar ialah para wanita? Lantas mengapa bisa sampai seperti itu? Ternyata di dalam sebuah hadist diceritakan alasan mengapa neraka penduduk mayoritasnya adalah para wanita.
Seselesainya dari shalat Kusuf (shalat Gerhana), Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda menceritakan surga dan neraka yang diperlihatkan kepada beliau ketika shalat,
وَرَأَيْتُ النَّارَ فَلَمْ أَرَ كَالْيَوْمِ مَنْظَرًا قَطُّ وَرَأَيْتُ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءَ. قَالُوا: لِمَ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: بِكُفْرِهِنَّ. قِيْلَ: يَكْفُرْنَ بِاللهِ؟ قَالَ: يَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيْرَ وَيَكْفُرْنَ اْلإِحْسَانَ، لَوْ أَحْسَنْتَ إِلىَ إِحْدَاهُنَّ الدَّهْرَ، ثُمَّ رَأَتْ مِنْكَ شَيْئًا قَالَتْ: مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ
“Dan aku melihat neraka. Aku belum pernah sama sekali melihat pemandangan seperti hari ini. Dan aku lihat ternyata mayoritas penghuninya adalah para wanita.” Mereka bertanya, “Kenapa para wanita menjadi mayoritas penghuni neraka, ya Rasulullah?” Beliau menjawab, “Disebabkan kekufuran mereka.” Ada yang bertanya kepada beliau, “Apakah para wanita itu kufur kepada Allah?”
Beliau menjawab, “(Tidak, melainkan) mereka kufur kepada suami dan mengkufuri kebaikan (suami). Seandainya engkau berbuat baik kepada salah seorang istri kalian pada suatu waktu, kemudian suatu saat ia melihat darimu ada sesuatu (yang tidak berkenan di hatinya) niscaya ia akan berkata, ‘Aku sama sekali belum pernah melihat kebaikan darimu’.” (HR. Bukhari no. 5197 dan Muslim no. 907).
Menelisik dari hal tersebut, inilah sebuah kisah nyata yang mungkin saja mampu menggambarkan bagaimana pedihnya siksa neraka bagi seorang perempuan yang lalai dari perintah-Nya. Bahkan wanita tersebut sampai menangis dan membuat seorang ustazah merinding karenanya.
Berikut kisahnya.
Selama hampir 9 tahun menetap di Mekah sambil menguruskan jemaah haji dan umrah, saya telah melalui berbagai pengalaman menarik dan yang pahit. Bagaimana pun, dalam banyaknya peristiwa yang saya alami, ada satu kejadian yg tidak akan pernah saya bisa lupakan. Kisah ini terjadi kepada seorang wanita yg berusia di pertengahan 30-an pada saat saya mengurus satu rombongan haji.
Setibanya wanita tersebut dan rombongan haji di Lapangan Terbang Jeddah kami sambut deangn sebuah bus. Semuanya terlihat riang sebab ini adalah pertama kalinya mereka melaksanakan haji. Setelah itu saya membawa mereka menaiki bus dan dari situ, kami menuju ke Madinah.
Alhamdulillah, segalanya berjalan lancar hingga kami sampai di Madinah. Tiba di Madinah, semua orang turun dari bus. Turunlah mereka satu persatu sampai tiba pada giliran wanita tersebut. Tanpa sebab yang jelas tiba-tiba wanita itu jatuh tidak sadarkan diri, yang secara langsung setelah menginjak bumi Madinah.
Sebagai orang yang diberi tanggung jawab untuk mengurus jemaah itu, saya pun bergegas menuju ke arah wanita tersebut. “Jemaah ini sakit” kata saya pada jemaah-jemaah yang lain.
Suasana yang tadinya tenang serta merta bertukar menjadi cemas dan semua jemaah terlihat panik atas kejadian ini.
“Badan dia panas dan menggigil. Jemaah ini tak sadarkan diri, cepat tolong saya, kita bawa dia ke rumah sakit” kata saya. Tanpa membuang waktu, kami mengangkat wanita tersebut dan membawanya ke rumah sakit Madinah yang terletak tidak jauh dari situ. Sementara itu, jemaah yang lain diantar ke tempat penginapan masing-masing. Sampai di rumah sakit Madinah, wanita itu masih belum sadarkan diri. Berbagai usaha dilakukan oleh dokter untuk memulihkannya, namun semuanya gagal.
Sementara itu, tugas mengurus jemaah perlu saya teruskan. Saya terpaksa meninggalkan wanita tersebut di rumah sakit. Namun dalam kesibukan menguruskan jemaah, saya menghubungi rumah sakit Madinah untuk mengetahui perkembangan wanita tersebut. Namun, saya diberi kabar bahwa dia masih tidak sadarkan diri. Selepas 2 hari, wanita itu masih juga tidak sadarkan diri. Saya makin cemas, maklumlah, itu adalah pengalaman pertama saya berhadapan dengan situasi seperti itu.
Semua usaha untuk memulihkannya gagal, maka wanita itu dibawa ke rumah sakit Abdul Aziz Jeddah untuk mendapatkan perawatan lanjut sebab rumah sakit di Jeddah lebih lengkap kemudahannya dibandingkan rumah sakit Madinah. Namun usaha untuk memulihkannya masih tidak berhasil. Jadwal Haji harus diteruskan. Kami berangkat ke Mekah untuk mengerjakan ibadah haji. Selesai haji, saya langsung pergi ke Jeddah. Malangnya, sampai rumah sakit Abdul Aziz, saya diberitahu oleh dokter bahwa wanita tersebut masih koma. Bagaimanapun, kata dokter, keadaannya stabil. Melihat keadaannya itu, saya ambil keputusan untuk menunggunya di rumah sakit.
Setelah 2 hari menunggu, akhirnya wanita itu membuka matanya. Dari sudut matanya yang terbuka sedikit itu, dia memandang ke arah saya dan terus memeluk saya dengan erat sambil menangis terisak-isak. Ketika itu saya sangat bingung, Saya bertanya kepada wanita tersebut,
“Kenapa kamu menangis?”
“Ustazah….saya taubat Ustazah. Saya menyesal, saya takkan berbuat lagi hal-hal yang tidak baik. Saya bertaubat, betul-betul bertaubat.”
“Kenapa kamu tiba-tiba ingin bertaubat?” tanya saya masih dalam keadaan bingung. Wanita itu terus menangis terisak-isak tanpa menjawab pertanyaan saya itu. Tidak lama kemudian dia bersuara, menceritakan kepada saya mengapa dia berkelakuan demikian, cerita yang bagi saya perlu diambil hikmahnya oleh kita semua.
Katanya, “Ustazah, saya ini sudah berumah tangga, menikah dengan lelaki orang kulit putih. Tapi saya salah. Saya ini cuma Islam pada nama dan keturunan saja. Saya tak pernah mengerjakan ibadah. Saya tidak sholat, tidak puasa, semua amalan ibadah saya dan suami tidak pernah saya kerjakan, rumah saya penuh dengan botol minuman.
Dengan suara tersekat-sekat, wanita itu menceritakan, “Ustazah…Allah itu Maha Besar, Maha Agung, Maha Kaya. Semasa koma , saya telah diazab dengan siksaan yg benar-benar pedih atas segala kesalahan yg telah saya buat selama ini.
“Betulkah?” tanya saya terkejut. “Betul Ustazah. Selama koma itu saya telah ditunjukkan oleh Allah tentang balasan yg Allah beri kepada saya. Balasan azab Ustazah, bukan balasan syurga.
Saya rasa seperti diazab di neraka. Saya ini seumur hidup tak pernah pakai jilbab. Sebagai balasan, rambut saya ditarik dengan bara api. Sakitnya tidak bisa saya ceritakan dengan kata-kata.
Menjerit-jerit saya minta ampun minta maaf kepada Allah.” “Bukan itu saja, buah [dada] saya pun diikat dan dijepit dengan penjepit yangg dibuat daripada bara api, kemudian ditarik ke sana-sini…putus, jatuh ke dalam api neraka. Buah [dada] saya hancur terbakar, panasnya bukan main. Saya menjerit, menangis kesakitan. Saya masukkan tangan ke dalam api itu dan saya ambil buah dada itu kembali .”
Tanpa mempedulikan pasien lain, suster pun memperhatikan wanita itu terus bercerita. Menurutnya lagi, setiap hari dia disiksa, tanpa henti, 24 jam sehari. Dia tidak diberi waktu untuk beristirahat atau dilepaskan dari hukuman, sepanjang masa koma itu dilaluinya dengan azab yg amat pedih.
Dengan suara terbata-bata, dengan berlinangan air mata, wanita itu meneruskan ceritanya, “Hari ke hari saya disiksa. Bila rambut saya ditarik dengan bara api, sakitnya terasa seperti kulit kepala yg ikut terlepas. Panasnya juga menyebabkan otak saya terasa seperti menggelegak.
Azab itu pedih…pedih yang amat sangat…tidak bisa saya ungkapkan. Sambil bercerita, wanita itu terus meraung, menangis terisak-isak. Terlihat dia betul-betul menyesal atas semua kesalahannya. Saya pun termenung, kaget dan menggigil mendengar ceritanya. Sangat pedih balasan Allah kepada umatnya yang ingkar.
“Ustazah… buat saya, Islam hanya nama saja, tapi saya minum alkohol, saya main judi dan segala macam dosa besar. Karena saya suka makan dan minum apa yang diharamkan Allah, semasa tidak sadarkan diri itu saya telah diberi makan buah-buahan yang berduri tajam.
Buah yang tak berisi melainkan hanya duri-duri saja, tapi saya sangat ingin memakannya, karena saya benar-benar merasa lapar.
“Bila ditelan buah-buah itu, duri-durinya menusuk kerongkongan saya dan bila sampai ke perut terasa menusuk perut saya. Sedangkan jari yang tertusuk jarum pun terasa sakitnya.
Setelah buah-buah duri itu habis, saya diberi makan berupa bara-bara api. Pada saat saya masukkan bara api itu ke dalam mulut, seluruh badan saya rasanya seperti terbakar hangus. Panasnya cuma Allah saja yang tahu.
Api yang ada di dunia ini tidak akan sama dengan kepanasannya. Setelah memakan bara api itu, saya meminta minuman, tapi…saya dihidangkan dengan minuman yang dibuat dari nanah. Baunya cukup busuk, saya terpaksa meminumnya sebab saya sangat merasa haus. Semua terpaksa saya lalui, tak pernah saya alami sepanjang hidup di dunia ini.”
Saya terus mendengar cerita wanita itu dengan tekun. Sangat terasa kebesaran Allah. “Semasa diazab itu, saya merayu memohon kepada Allah supaya diberikan nyawa sekali lagi, berilah saya peluang untuk hidup sekali lagi. Tak berhenti saya memohon. Saya berjanji tidak akan mengulangi kesalahan saya. Saya berjanji tidak akan ingkar atas perintah Allah dan akan jadi umat yg soleh. Saya berjanji kalau saya dihidupkan kembali, saya akan perbaiki segala kekurangan dan kesalahan saya dahulu, saya akan mengaji, akan sholat, akan puasa yang selama ini saya tinggalkan.”
Saya termenung mendengar cerita wanita itu. Benarlah, Allah itu Maha Agung dan Maha Berkuasa. Kita manusia ini tak akan terlepas dari balasanNya. Kalau baik amalan kita maka baiklah balasan yang akan kita terima, kalau buruk amalan kita, maka azablah kita di akhirat kelak.
Alhamdulillah, wanita itu telah menyaksikan sendiri kebenaran Allah. “Ini bukan mimpi ustazah. Kalau mimpi azabnya tidak akan terasa sampai sepedih ini. Saya bertaubat Ustazah, saya tak akan ulangi lagi kesalahan saya. Saya bertaubat… saya taubat Nasuha,” katanya sambil menangis-nangis. Sejak itu wanita tersebut benar-benar berubah. Bila saya membawanya ke Mekah, dia menjadi jemaah yang paling khusuk.
Amal ibadahnya tak pernah berhenti. Contohnya, kalau wanita itu pergi ke masjid pada waktu maghrib, dia hanya akan balik ke hotelnya selepas sholat subuh. “Kenapa melakukan ibadah sampai tidak ingat waktu? kamu juga harus menjaga kesehatan. Pulanglah setelah sholat Isya, makan nasi atau istirahatlah sejenak…” tegur saya.
“Tidak apa-apa Ustazah. saya membawa buah kurma. saya memakannya disaat saya merasa lapar.” Menurut wanita itu, sepanjang berada di dalam Masjidil Haram, dia ingin membayar sholat yang ditinggalkannya dahulu.
Selain itu dia berdoa, mohon kepada Allah supaya mengampunkan dosanya. Saya kasihan melihatkan keadaan wanita itu, takut karena ibadah dan tekanan perasaan yang keterlaluan dia akan jatuh sakit. Jadi saya menasihatkan supaya tidak beribadah keterlaluan hingga mengabaikan kesehatannya.
“Tidak boleh Ustazah. Saya takut…saya sudah merasakan pedihnya azab Tuhan. Ustazah tidak merasa, Ustazah tidak mengetahui rasanya. Kalau Ustazah sudah merasakan azab itu, Ustazah juga akan menjadi seperti saya. Saya betul- betul bertaubat.”
Wanita itu juga berpesan kepada saya, katanya, “Ustazah, kalau ada perempuan Islam yang tak pakai jilbab, Ustazah ingatkanlah pada mereka, pakailah jilbab. Cukuplah saya saja yang merasakan siksaan itu, saya tidak mau ada wanita lain yang merasakan hal seperti yang saya sudah rasakan.
Semasa diazab, saya melihat larangan-larangan Allah, salah satunya adalah setiap sehelai rambut wanita Islam yang sengaja diperlihatkan kepada lelaki yang bukan mahromnya, maka dia diberikan satu dosa. Kalau ada 10 lelaki yang bukan mahrom melihat sehelai rambut saya ini, maka saya mendapatkan 10 dosa.”
“Tapi Ustazah, rambut saya ini banyak jumlahnya, beribu-ribu. Kalau seorang melihat rambut saya, itu berarti beribu-ribu dosa yang saya dapat. “Saya berniat, sepulang saya dari haji ini, saya minta tolong dari ustazah supaya mau mengajarkan suami saya sholat, puasa, mengaji, dan mengerjakan semua ibadah.
Saya ingin mengajak suami pergi haji. Seperti saya, suami saya itu Islam pada nama saja. Tapi itu semua adalah kesalahan saya. Saya sudah membawa dia masuk Islam, tapi saya tidak membimbing dia. Bukan itu saja, sayalah yang menjadi seperti orang yang bukan Islam.”
Sejak kembali dari haji itu, saya tidak mendegar cerita tentang wanita tersebut. Bagaimana pun, saya percaya dia sudah menjadi wanita yang benar-benar solehah. Adakah dia berbohong kepada saya tentang ceritanya diazab semasa koma? Tidak. Saya percaya dia berkata benar. Jika dia berbohong, kenapa dia berubah dan bertaubat Nasuha? Satu lagi, cobalah bandingkan azab yang diterimanya itu dengan azab yang digambarkan oleh Allah dan Nabi dalam Al-Quran dan hadish. Adakah ia berbohong ?
Benar, apa yang terjadi itu memang kita tidak dapat membuktikannya secara saintifik, tapi bukankah soal dosa dan pahala, syurga dan neraka itu perkara ghaib?
Janganlah bila kita sudah meninggal dunia, bila kita sudah diazab barulah kita mau percaya bahwa “Oh… memang betul apa yang Allah dan Rasul katakan. Aku menyesal…” Itu sudah terlambat. Raihlah 5 peluang sebelum datang 5 rintangan, Kaya sebelum miskin, Senang sebelum susah, Sehat sebelum sakit, Muda sebelum tua dan waktu Hidup sebelum mati
Walahualam Bisawab, Semoga kisah ini membawa kita menjadi umat yang lebih mengerti bahwa dunia bukanlah tempat terakhir, masih ada akhirat, masih ada alam lain yang sudah menanti kita sebagai mana dituliskan dalam Al Qur’an. Semoga kita menjadi umat yang senantiasa beribadah kepada Allah.
