Meskipun kita biasa menemuninya, ternyata beberapa produk ini bisa jadi nilainya haram untuk kita lho. Apa saja?
Bagi umat Islam mengkonsumsi makanan yang halal dan thoyib merupakan bagian dari perintah agama. Demikian juga meninggalkan makanan yang haram adalah kewajiban yang tidak ditawar-tawar lagi.
Dalam Islam, makanan yang baik adalah makanan yang dihalalkan oleh Allah SWT. Bahkan perintah untuk mengkonsumsi makanan halal dan baik disejajarkan dengan perintah bertakwa kepada Allah Ta’ala. Sebagaimana firman-Nya dalam surah al-Maidah ayat 88.
Selain itu, mengkonsumsi makanan yang halal, bersih dan baik dapat membentuk jiwa yang suci dan jasmani yang sehat. Berbeda halnya dengan makanan haram yang justru akan membentuk jiwa yang keji.
Namun tanpa kita sadari, ada banyak makanan yang mengandung bahan-bahan campuran haram yang berada disekitar kita. Beberapa diantaranya bahkan sering kita konsumsi. Sebagai konsumen produk pangan sudah seharusnya umat islam mendapakan jaminan dari para produsen atas kehalalan produk-produk pangan yang beredar di komunitas muslim.
Faktanya, konsumen sulit untuk mengetahui apakah suatu produk mengandung bahan haram ataukah tidak. Kecuali bila produk tersebut tak bersertifikat halal semuanya mengandung bahan haram. Selain produk pangan, ada pula produk lainnya yang status kehalalannya belum menjadi perhatian masyarakat yaitu produk obat-obatan, khususnya obat yang digunakan dengan cara ditelan atau di minum
Berikut 7 bahan makanan yang sebenarnya berstatus haram:
1. Emulsifier E471
Emulsifier merupakan zat aditif yang ditambahkan ke dalam makanan atau minuman untuk mencampur air dan lemak. Sehingga dengan adanya emulsifier, bahan makanan yang mengandung lemak dapat bercampur sempurna dengan air.
Biasanya emulsifier digunakan dalam pembuatan kue, minuman instan, coklat, es krim dan sebagainya. Emulsifier yang biasanya sering digunakan dalam pengolahan suatu produk makanan adalah emulsifier 471 atau biasa disingkat E471.
Nah penggunaan E471 ini sangat dilarang bagi umat Islam, sebab E471 adalah jenis emulsifier yang berbahan dasar babi. Namun sayangnya tidak banyak yang mengetahui hal ini. Oleh sebab itu, jika membeli suatu produk makanan ada baiknya untuk mengecek terlebih dahulu komposisi produk tersebut.
2. Angciu
Angciu adalah sejenis arak yang biasa digunakan untuk memasak. Biasanya angciu digunakan untuk membuat masakan khas China, Jepang, Korea dan masakan lokal yang berorientasi pada arak.
Pada dasarnya angciu adalah hasil fermentasi ketan. sehingga jika ketan diragikan menjadi tapai, maka angciu adalah air tapai-nya. Penggunaan angciu pada masakan menghasilkan aroma dan rasa yang khas. Biasanya aroma khas ini akan muncul pada saat masakan dipanggang, digoreng, ditumis dan sebagainya.
3. Rhum
Rhum merupakan salah satu derivat alkohol yang dapat digolongkan dalam kelompok khamar. Oleh sebab itulah penggunaan rhum dalam pengolahan produk makanan menjadi haram hukumnya. Biasanya, penggunaan rhum digunakan dalam proses pembuatan roti.
4. Lesitin
Seperti halnya E471, lesitin juga berfungsi sebagai zat aditif yang ditambahkan ke dalam makanan. Biasanya lesitin digunakan secara komersial dalam makanan yang membutuhkan pengemulsi atau pelumas alami.
Sebenarnya penambahan lesitin dalam suatu produk makanan memiliki manfaat bagi tubuh. Hanya saja, apabila bahan pembuat lesitin ini berasal dari babi maka jelas hal ini terlarang untuk dikonsumsi umat muslim.
Lesitin dapat berasal dari bahan nabati dan hewani, namun lesitin yang berasal dari bahan hewani kebanyakan berasal dari babi. Hal inilah yang menyebabkan lesitin menjdai haram.
5. Kuas Bulu Putih (Bristle)
Bristle merupakan kuas yang terbuat dari bulu babi, yang sering digunakan untuk melumasi mentega pada adonan rotu atau cake. Sebenarnya bristle sendiri berarti bulu babi. Sehingga penggunaannya jelas diharamkan bagi umat muslim. Dengan demikian, pembuatan roti atau cake yang menggunakan kuas ini tentunya dihukumi haram untuk dimakan.
6. Lard
Lard adalah lemak yang diolah dari lemak babi, yang sumbernya dapat beerasal dari seluruh bagian babi. Lard biasanya digunakan sebagai bahan minyak makan. bahkan karena titik lelehnya yang lebih tinggi dari mentega, lard seringkali digunakan dalam pembuatan pie yang menghasilkan produk yang lebih renyah.
7. Alkohol Dalam Obat
Ini yang paling sering ditemui dan pasti kita juga pernah memakainya. Kebanyakan obat-obat yang beredar dipasaran mengandung alkohol, sehingga jelas keharamannya. Akan tetapi di Islam terdapat pengecualian yang membolehkan untuk mengkonsumsinya selama belum tersedia obat sejenis yang halal.
Kesimpulannya adalah, meskipun cukup sulit selalu perhatikan kehalalan dari apa yang hendak kita pakai atau konsumsi. Teliti dari bahan-bahan pembuatannya, atau jika memang ragu tanyakan kepada ahlinya dan jangan sampai menyepelakan hal tersebut. Karena sesungguhnya hal yang halal akan membawa kita menjadi pribadi yang lebih baik. Oleh karena itu haruslah kita menjauhi hal-hal yang haram agar senantiasa mendapatkan ridha-Nya.
