Bagi umat Islam, air zamzam mungkin sudah tak asing lagi. Air zamzam yang merupakan jenis air terbaik di seluruh dunia memang diketahui banyak mengandung nutrisi yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan tubuh manusia.
Air Zam-zam merupakan bukti kekuasaan Allah dan begitu istimewa. Zam-zam memang menjadi air yang istimewa di muka bumi.
Sejak awal tercipta, sumur ini tidak pernah kering dan terus mengalir meski dikonsumsi jutaan manusia. Namun, tidak banyak yang tahu siapa sebenarnya yang menggali sumur ini.
Namun tahukah Anda? Darimana asal usul air Zam-zam? Kita pasti sering mendengar bahwa asal muasal munculnya air keramat ini adalah dari kisah nabi Ismail AS yang saat itu menggerak-gerakan kakinya ke tanah sambil menangis karena kehausan.
Sedangkan sang ibu siti Hajar berlari-lari dari bukit Safa dan Marwah, berusaha mencarikan air untuk putranya Ismail yang masih bayi.
Setelah berlari hingga tujuh kali dari bukit Safa ke bukit Marwah, akhirnya memancarlah air yang kemudian diberi nama Zam-zam tersebut. Namun apakah air ini memancar begitu saja, atau ada yang menggalinya?
Menurut sumber yang valid dari beberapa hadits, Ternyata air zam-zam tidak memancar begitu saja, namun terlebih dahulu digali.
Bahkan Siti Hajar melihat sendiri siapa yang menggali mata air yang tidak akan pernah habis hingga hari kiamat tersebut. Lantas siapa sebenarnya yang menggali sumur zam-zam? Berikut ulasannya.
Kisah yang beredar selama ini mengatakan jika air Zam-zam memancar dari kaki mungil Ismail yang menggesek-gesekannya ke tanah. Kemudian muncul lah mata air sama-sama tersebut.
Namun berdasarkan hadits Rasulullah Shallallahu alaihi wasallam, sumur zam-zam digali oleh seorang Malaikat Allah. Malaikat tersebut menggali Zam-zam dengan tumit (sayapnya) hingga terpancarlah air zam-zam dari tempat antara bukit safa dan marwah tersebut.
“Ini adalah kejadian yang mendasari tradisi jemaah haji berjalan antara Safa dan Marwah. Ketika Siti Hajar (r.a.) mencapai bukit Marwa (untuk terakhir kali), ia mendengan sebuah suara, kemudian ia diam dan mendengarkan dengan penuh perhatian.
Ia mendengar suatu itu terus-menerus dan berkata, ‘Wahai (siapapun engkau)! Engkau telah membuatku mendengarkan suaramu; apakah kamu memiliki sesuatu yang dapat membantuku?’
Dan ajaib! Ia melihat satu malaikat di lokasi Zam-Zam, sedang menggali tanah dengan tumitnya (atau sayapnya), hingga airnya memancar dari tempat itu.
Ia lalu membentuk tangannya seperti mangkuk, dan mulai mengisi tempat air minumnya yang terbuat dari kulit dengan air menggunakan tangannya, dan air itu lalu mengalir keluar setelah dia menciduk sebagian di antaranya.” (Hadist Shahih Bukhari: Volume 044, Kitab 055, Hadits 583)
Air zam-zam yang keluar waktu itu sangat banyak, sehingga Siti Hajar mencoba untuk membendungnya dengan menggunakan tanah di sekitarnya.
“Jika ia (Siti Hajar) telah meninggalkan air itu, (mengalir secara alami tanpa campur tangannya), maka air itu akan mengalir di atas permukaan bumi.” (Shahih Bukhari: Volume 044, Buku 055, Hadits 583)
Sementara itu Imam Ibnu Qayyim al-Jauziyyah memberikan catatan: “Air zam zam adalah yang terbaik dan paling mulia dari semua air, yang tertinggi kedudukannya, yang paling berharga, paling mulia dan paling bernilai bagi manusia.

Air Zam-zam merupakan bukti kekuasaan Allah dan begitu istimewa. Zam-zam memang menjadi air yang istimewa di muka bumi.
Sejak awal tercipta, sumur ini tidak pernah kering dan terus mengalir meski dikonsumsi jutaan manusia. Namun, tidak banyak yang tahu siapa sebenarnya yang menggali sumur ini.
Namun tahukah Anda? Darimana asal usul air Zam-zam? Kita pasti sering mendengar bahwa asal muasal munculnya air keramat ini adalah dari kisah nabi Ismail AS yang saat itu menggerak-gerakan kakinya ke tanah sambil menangis karena kehausan.
Sedangkan sang ibu siti Hajar berlari-lari dari bukit Safa dan Marwah, berusaha mencarikan air untuk putranya Ismail yang masih bayi.
Setelah berlari hingga tujuh kali dari bukit Safa ke bukit Marwah, akhirnya memancarlah air yang kemudian diberi nama Zam-zam tersebut. Namun apakah air ini memancar begitu saja, atau ada yang menggalinya?
Menurut sumber yang valid dari beberapa hadits, Ternyata air zam-zam tidak memancar begitu saja, namun terlebih dahulu digali.
Bahkan Siti Hajar melihat sendiri siapa yang menggali mata air yang tidak akan pernah habis hingga hari kiamat tersebut. Lantas siapa sebenarnya yang menggali sumur zam-zam? Berikut ulasannya.
Kisah yang beredar selama ini mengatakan jika air Zam-zam memancar dari kaki mungil Ismail yang menggesek-gesekannya ke tanah. Kemudian muncul lah mata air sama-sama tersebut.
Namun berdasarkan hadits Rasulullah Shallallahu alaihi wasallam, sumur zam-zam digali oleh seorang Malaikat Allah. Malaikat tersebut menggali Zam-zam dengan tumit (sayapnya) hingga terpancarlah air zam-zam dari tempat antara bukit safa dan marwah tersebut.
“Ini adalah kejadian yang mendasari tradisi jemaah haji berjalan antara Safa dan Marwah. Ketika Siti Hajar (r.a.) mencapai bukit Marwa (untuk terakhir kali), ia mendengan sebuah suara, kemudian ia diam dan mendengarkan dengan penuh perhatian.
Ia mendengar suatu itu terus-menerus dan berkata, ‘Wahai (siapapun engkau)! Engkau telah membuatku mendengarkan suaramu; apakah kamu memiliki sesuatu yang dapat membantuku?’
Dan ajaib! Ia melihat satu malaikat di lokasi Zam-Zam, sedang menggali tanah dengan tumitnya (atau sayapnya), hingga airnya memancar dari tempat itu.
Ia lalu membentuk tangannya seperti mangkuk, dan mulai mengisi tempat air minumnya yang terbuat dari kulit dengan air menggunakan tangannya, dan air itu lalu mengalir keluar setelah dia menciduk sebagian di antaranya.” (Hadist Shahih Bukhari: Volume 044, Kitab 055, Hadits 583)
