Pada tahun 1932 (bertepatan dengan tahun 1351 H), Raja Iraq yang bernama Shah Faisal I bermimpi dimana dalam mimpinya ia ditegur oleh Huzaifah Al-Yamani (salah seorang sahabat Nabi saww) yang berkata:
“ Wahai Raja ! Ambillah jenazahku dan jenazah Jabir Al-Ansari (juga salah seorang sahabat Nabi saww) dari tepian sungai Tigris dan kemudian kuburkan kembali di tempat yang aman karena kuburanku sekarang dipenuhi oleh air; kuburan Jabir juga sedang dipenuhi oleh air.”
Mimpi yang sama terjadi berulang-ulang pada malam-malam berikutnya akan tetapi Raja Faisal I tidak peduli dengan mimpi itu karena ia merasa ada hal-hal lain yang jauh lebih penting dalam kehidupannya yang berupa urusan-urusan kenegaraan. Pada malam ketiga Huzaifah Al-Yamani hadir dalam mimpi Mufti Besar Iraq. Huzaifah Al-Yamani berkata dalam mimpi sang Mufti itu:
“ Aku telah memberitahukan Raja dua malam sebelumnya untuk memindahkan jenazahku akan tetapi tampaknya ia tidak peduli. Beritahukanlah kepada Raja agar ia mau sedikit berempati untuk memindahkan kuburan-kuburan kami.”

Lalu setelah mendiskusikan masalah ini, Raja Faisal disertai oleh Perdana Menteri dan Mufti Besar bermaksud untuk melaksanakan tugas ini. Diputuskanlah bahwa Mufti Besar akan memberikan fatwa mengenai hal ini dan Perdana Menteri akan menyampaikan pernyataan pers supaya semua orang tahu tentang rencana besar ini. Kemudian diumumkanlah kepada publik bahwa rencana ini akan dilangsungkan pada tanggal 10 Dzulhijjah setelah shalat Dzhuhur dan Ashar. Kuburan kedua sahabat Nabi itu akan dibuka dan jenazahnya akan dipindahkan ke tempat lain.
Karena pada waktu itu sedang musim Haji, maka para jamaah haji yang sedang berkumpul di kota Makkah. Mereka meminta Raja Faisal I untuk menunda rencana itu selama beberapa hari agar mereka juga bisa turut menyaksikan dengan mata kepala sendiri proses ekskavasi dari kedua tubuh sahabat Nabi itu. Mereka ingin agar proses ekskavasi itu ditunda hingga mereka selesai beribadah haji. Akhirnya Raja Faisal setuju untuk menangguhkannya dan mengundurkannya hingga tanggal 20 Dzulhijjah.
Setelah shalat Dzhuhur dan Ashar, pada tanggal 20 Dzulhijjah tahun 1351 (Hijriah) bertepatan dengan tahun 1932 Masehi, orang-orang berdatangan ke kota Baghdad. Dan yang datang ketika itu bukan hanya kaum Muslimin melainkan juga dihadiri oleh banyak Non-Muslim. Mereka berkumpul di kota Baghdad hingga penuh sesak. Ketika kuburan Hudzaifah Al-Yamani dibuka segera mereka melihat bahwa kuburan itu dipenuhi air di dalamnya. Tubuh Hudzaifah Al-Yamani diangkat dengan menggunakan katrol dengan sangat hati-hati agar tidak rusak dan kemudian jenazah yang tampak masih sangat segar itu dibaringkan di sebuah tandu. Kemudian Raja Faisal beserta Mufti Besar, Perdana Menteri dan Pangeran Faruq dari Mesir mendapatkan kehormatan untuk mengangkat tandu itu bersama-sama dan kemudian meletakkan jenazah segar itu ke sebuah peti mati dari kaca yang dibuat khusus untuk menyimpan jenazah-jenazah itu. Selanjutnya tubuh Jabir bin Abdullah Al-Ansari juga dipindahkan ke peti mati dari kaca yang sama dengan cara yang sama hati-hatinya dan dengan segenap penghormatan.
Prosesi Pemindahan Jenazah Dua Sahabat Nabi Yang Mulia
Pemandangan yang sangat menakjubkan itu sekarang sedang dilihat oleh banyak orang laki-laki dan perempuan, muda dan tua, miskin dan kaya, Muslim dan Non-Muslim. Kedua jenazah suci dari sahabat sejati Nabi yang kurang dikenal kaum Muslimin ini kelihatan masih segar dan tak tersentuh oleh bakteri pengurai sedikitpun. Keduanya dengan mata terbuka, mata yang telah menatap sinar Kenabian. Kedua jenazah mulia yang menggemparkan dunia dan membuat semua yang menyaksikan saat itu terperangah dan tak bisa menutup mulutnya. Kebisuan pun mengharu biru……….. Mereka seolah tak percaya dengan apa yang mereka saksikan pada hari itu.
Selain tubuh keduanya yang tampak segar bugar, juga peti mati mereka yang juga tampak masih utuh dan baru; bahkan pakaian yang mereka kenakan pada saat dikubur semuanya utuh dan kalau dilihat sekilas kedua Sahabat Nabi dan Pahlawan Islam ini tampak seperti masih hidup dan hanya terbaring saja.
Kedua jasad suci ini akhirnya dibawa dan dikebumikan kembali di kuburan yang baru tidak jauh dari kuburan sahabat sejati Nabi lainnya yaitu Salman Al-Farisi yang terletak di SALMAN PARK kurang lebih 30 mil jauhnya dari kota Baghdad. Kejadian ajaib ini sangat mengundang kekaguman para ilmuwan, kaum filsafat, dan para dokter. Mereka yang selalu mampu berkicau memberikan analisa sesuai dengan bidangnya masing-masing, kali ini hanya tertunduk bisu, terkesima dengan kejadian yang teramat langka ini.
Makam Baru Jabir bin Abdullah Al-Anshary
Salah satu dari mereka adalah seorang ahli fisiologis dari Jerman yang kelihatan sangat tertarik dengan fenomena ini. Ia sangat ingin melihat langsung kondisi tubuh jenazah kedua sahabat Nabi itu yang telah dikuburkan selama 1300 tahun lamanya. Oleh karena itu, ia serta merta langsung mendatangi Mufti Besar Iraq. Sesampainya ia di tempat dimana peristiwa akbar itu sedang terjadi, dan setelah menyaksikan sendiri Tanda Kekuasaan Allah tersebut, dia langsung memegang kedua tangan sang Mufti dengan eratnya sambil berkata:
“ BUKTI APALAGI YANG HARUS DICARI BAHWA ISLAM ITU BENAR. AKU SEKARANG JUGA AKAN MASUK ISLAM DAN TOLONG AJARI AKU TENTANG ISLAM “
Di hadapan ribuan orang yang sedang menyaksikan dirinya, dokter dari Jerman itu menyatakan keIslamannya. Dan seketika itu juga banyak orang lainnya yang beragama Kristen bahkan Yahudi turut juga menyatakan diri sebagai Muslim karena mereka telah melihat bukti yang sangat nyata dipampangkan di depan mereka. Ini bukan yang pertama dan terakhir. Masih banyak lagi setelah itu kaum Nasrani dan Yahudi serta dari agama lain yang berbondong-bondong masuk Islam karena telah menyaksikan atau mendengar kejadian aneh nan menakjubkan ini.
