Berikut beberapa watak Yahudi yang sudah semestinya diketahui seorang muslim sehingga bisa diketahui siapakah mereka sebenarnya.

Watak Yahudi Pertama: Mereka tidaklah pernah ridho dengan kita umat Islam sampai kita mau melepaskan agama kita.

Perhatikanlah firman Allah Ta’ala berikut.

وَلَنْ تَرْضَى عَنْكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلَا النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللَّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ

Orang-orang Yahudi dan Nasrani tidak akan senang kepada kamu hingga kamu mengikuti agama mereka. (QS. Al Baqarah: 120)

Perhatikanlah saudaraku. Janganlah engkau terpengaruh dengan kaum sekuler yang keliru dalam memahami ayat ini. Kaum sekuler berpendapat bahwa ayat ini ditujukan pada Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam saja ketika beliau masih hidup. Yahudi dan Nashrani pada zaman ini berbeda dengan yang dulu. Benarkah demikian?

Ini sungguh kekeliruan yang sangat besar yang berasal dari orang yang ingin mengaburkan ajaran Islam. Ketahuilah bahwa ayat ini memang ditujukan pada Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, tetapi pembicaraan ini juga mencakup umatnya karena yang menjadi hukum adalah keumuman dan bukan hanya orang yang diajak bicara. Itulah yang dipahami oleh ulama Ahlus Sunnah (semacam Syaikh As Sa’di dalam tafsirnya), berbeda dengan mereka yang sudah diracuni dengan pemikiran orang barat yang kafir.

Berdasarkan ayat di atas sangat jelas sekali bahwa Yahudi dan Nashrani tidak akan ridho kepada kita selamanya. Inilah watak orang Yahudi dan Nashrani sampai hari kiamat. Dari watak jelek mereka yang pertama ini, sekarang kita akan melihat watak mereka yang lainnya.

Watak Yahudi Kedua: Orang Yahudi selalu menyembunyikan kebenaran

Mereka kaum Yahudi sebenarnya tahu bahwa Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam diutus sebagai penutup para rasul di akhir zaman ini, tetapi mereka selalu menyembunyikan kebenaran ini. Allah Ta’ala berfirman,

الَّذِينَ آَتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَعْرِفُونَهُ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِنْهُمْ لَيَكْتُمُونَ الْحَقَّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ

“Orang-orang (Yahudi dan Nasrani) yang telah Kami beri Al Kitab (Taurat dan Injil) mengenal Muhammad seperti mereka mengenal anak-anaknya sendiri. Dan sesungguhnya sebahagian diantara mereka menyembunyikan kebenaran, padahal mereka mengetahui.” (QS. Al Baqarah: 146)

Al Qurtubhi mengatakan: Diriwayatkan  bahwasanya Umar berkata pada Abdullah bin Salam, “Apakah engkau (sebelum masuk Islam) mengenal Muhammad shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam sebagaimana engkau mengenal anak-anakmu sendiri? Abdullah pun menjawab, “Ya, bahkan lebih dari itu. ”

Ibnu Katsir mengatakan bahwa kadang pula maksud ‘seperti mereka mengenal anak-anaknya sendiri’ adalah mereka mengenal sekumpulan  anak-anak manusia lalu mereka tidak merasa ragu sedikit pun untuk mengenal anak mereka sendiri jika mereka melihatnya di antara sekumpulan anak tadi.

Walaupun mereka sudah mengenal Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam dengan sangat yakinnya, namun Allah katakana, “sebahagian diantara mereka menyembunyikan kebenaran”. Maksudnya adalah mereka menyembunyikan sifat nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam yang ada pada kitab mereka pada manusia padahal mereka mengetahuinya. (Lihat Tafsir Al Qur’anil Azhim, pada tafsir surat Al Baqarah ayat 146).

Watak Yahudi Ketiga: Tokoh agama Yahudi sangat sulit menerima kebenaran Islam

Dalam shohih Muslim, dari Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

لَوْ تَابَعَنِى عَشْرَةٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ لَمْ يَبْقَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا يَهُودِىٌّ إِلاَّ أَسْلَمَ

“Seandainya sepuluh (pemuka agama) Yahudi mengikuti agamaku, maka sungguh tidak akan tersisa lagi orang Yahudi di muka bumi ini kecuali dalam keadaan Islam.” (HR. Muslim no. 2793)

Dari Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

لَوْ آمَنَ بِى عَشْرَةٌ مِنْ أَحْبَارِ الْيَهُودِ لآمَنَ بِى كُلُّ يَهُودِىٍّ عَلَى وَجْهِ الأَرْضِ

“Seandainya sepuluh pemuka agama Yahudi beriman kepadaku, sungguh semua orang Yahudi di muka bumi ini akan turut beriman padaku.” (HR. Ahmad. Syaikh Syu’aib Al Arnauth mengatakan bahwa hadits ini shohih ligoirihi, yaitu shohih dilihat dari jalur lainnya)

Watak Yahudi Keempat: Orang Yahudi menyembah pemuka agamanya sendiri

Perhatikanlah firman Allah Ta’ala berikut ini,

اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا إِلَهًا وَاحِدًا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ سُبْحَانَهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

“Mereka menjadikan orang-orang alimnya, dan rahib-rahib mereka sebagai Rabb selain Allah, dan (juga mereka mempertuhankan) Al Masih putera Maryam; padahal mereka hanya disuruh menyembah Tuhan Yang Maha Esa; Tidak ada Rabb yang berhak disembah selain Dia. Maha suci Allah dari apa yang mereka persekutukan.” (QS. At Taubah : 31)

Hudzaifah ibnul Yaman, Abdullah bin ‘Abbas dan selainnya mengatakan mengenai tafsir ‘Mereka menjadikan orang-orang alimnya, dan rahib-rahib mereka sebagai Rabb selain Allah’, maksudnya adalah mereka mengikuti pemuka agama mereka dalam menghalalkan yang haram dan mengharamkan yang halal. Itulah yang disebut dengan menyembah mereka sebagaimana dimaksudkan dalam hadits dari ‘Adi bin Hatim. (Lihat Tafsir Al Qur’an Al ‘Azhim, tafsir surat At Taubah ayat 31)

Watak Yahudi Kelima: Orang Yahudi pernah menyihir Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam

Dalam shohih Muslim pada Bab Sihir, ‘Aisyah berkata,

سَحَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَهُودِىٌّ مِنْ يَهُودِ بَنِى زُرَيْقٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ لَبِيدُ بْنُ الأَعْصَمِ

“Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam pernah disihir oleh seorang Yahudi dari Bani Zuraiq yang bernama Lubaid bin Al A’shom.” (HR. Muslim no. 2189)

Watak Yahudi Keenam: Wanita Yahudi pernah meracuni Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam

Dari Anas bin Malik radhiyallahu ‘anhu, beliau mengatakan,

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً يَهُودِيَّةً أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- بِشَاةٍ مَسْمُومَةٍ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا فَجِىءَ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَسَأَلَهَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ أَرَدْتُ لأَقْتُلَكَ. قَالَ « مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُسَلِّطَكِ عَلَى ذَاكِ ». قَالَ أَوْ قَالَ « عَلَىَّ ». قَالَ قَالُوا أَلاَ نَقْتُلُهَا قَالَ « لاَ ». قَالَ فَمَا زِلْتُ أَعْرِفُهَا فِى لَهَوَاتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم-.

“Sesungguhnya seorang wanita Yahudi pernah mendatangi Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam dengan membawa daging kambing yang sudah diracuni. Kemudian Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam memakan daging tersebut. Lalu wanita tadi dipanggil untuk menghadap beliau shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, kemudian beliau shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bertanya tentang perbuatan wanita tersebut tadi. Wanita tersebut pun berkata, “Aku ingin membunuhmu.” Lantas Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam berkata, “Allah tidaklah memberimu kekuatan untuk maksudmu tadi.” (Periwayat hadits ini ada yang mengatakan), “(Allah tidaklah memberimu kekuatan) untuk mencelakakanku.” Lantas para sahabat berkata, “Apakah sebaiknya dia dibunuh saja?” (HR. Bukhari no. 2617 dan Muslim no. 2190)

Watak Yahudi Ketujuh: Orang Yahudi berusaha memurtadkan kaum muslimin

Allah Ta’ala berfirman,

وَدَّ كَثِيرٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ إِيمَانِكُمْ كُفَّارًا حَسَدًا مِنْ عِنْدِ أَنْفُسِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ فَاعْفُوا وَاصْفَحُوا حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

“Sebahagian besar Ahli Kitab menginginkan agar mereka dapat mengembalikan kamu kepada kekafiran setelah kamu beriman, karena dengki yang (timbul) dari diri mereka sendiri, setelah nyata bagi mereka kebenaran. Maka ma’afkanlah dan biarkanlah mereka, sampai Allah mendatangkan perintah-Nya . Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Kuasa atas segala sesuatu.” (QS. Al Baqarah: 109)

Watak Yahudi Kedelapan: Orang Yahudi berusaha menyesatkan kaum muslimin

Allah Ta’ala berfirman,

وَدَّتْ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يُضِلُّونَكُمْ وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ إِلَّا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ

“Segolongan dari Ahli Kitab ingin menyesatkan kamu, padahal mereka (sebenarnya) tidak menyesatkan melainkan dirinya sendiri, dan mereka tidak menyadarinya.” (QS. Ali Imran: 69)

Watak Yahudi Kesembilan: Mendoakan celaka atau mati bila bertemu dengan kaum muslimin

Dari Abdullah bin Umar, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَهُودُ فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ أَحَدُهُمُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ . فَقُلْ وَعَلَيْكَ

“Jika seorang Yahudi memberi salam padamu dengan mengatakan ‘Assaamu ‘alaikum’ (semoga kamu mati), maka jawablah ‘wa ‘alaika’ (semoga do’a tadi kembali padamu).” (HR. Bukhari no. 6257)

Setelah kita mengetahui sebagian watak jelek Yahudi, masihkan ada rasa simpati pada perlakuan dan tindak tanduk mereka?!
