RAMADAN menjelma lagi dan seperti biasa umat Islam di seluruh dunia terus menunaikan ibadat berpuasa serta menghidupkan malam harinya dengan melakukan ibadat terawih di masjid-masjid dan surau-surau.
Ramadan adalah bulan yang sangat mulia, pada hakikatnya, kita perlu bersedia untuk menyambut kedatangan bulan ini dengan sambutan dan harapan agar ia akan menjadikan kita sebagai manusia yang lebih baik di sisi ALLAH.
Laporan khas sebuah media berhubung berbuka puasa ala bufet yang kini semakin popular dalam kalangan umat Islam di negara ini menunjukkan kehidupan umat Islam di negara ini pada masa kini semakin dilimpahi dengan kemewahan.
Setiap kali Ramadan menjelma, Persatuan Pengguna Pulau Pinang (CAP) tetap menyuarakan pandangan kepada umat Islam agar mengelakkan pembaziran dan kegelojohan di bulan Ramadan dan bulan-bulan yang lain serta turut menginsafi akan nasib umat Islam di negara lain yang tidak bernasib baik dalam memenuhi keperluan harian mereka.
Sepanjang Ramadan umat Islam digalakkan memakan makanan yang berkhasiat semasa berbuka dan bersahur, serta ditegah daripada melakukan pembaziran, tetapi malangnya masih ramai daripada kita yang memasak terlalu banyak hidangan atau dengan jalan paling mudah ialah membeli pelbagai juadah makanan dan minuman yang begitu banyak dijual di pasar dan bazar Ramadan yang dibuka bagaikan cendawan tumbuh selepas hujan pada bulan puasa.
Disebabkan terlalu banyak makanan yang dihidangkan, kebanyakannya tidak termakan dan akhirnya terbuang begitu sahaja, pembaziran seumpama ini amat dilarang oleh Islam dan menyalahi konsep Ramadan itu sendiri.
Saban tahun apabila tiba sahaja Ramadan, hotel-hotel dan restoran mula dibanjiri dengan iklan bufet Ramadan bagi mempengaruhi umat Islam agar supaya berbuka puasa di sana dan pada tahun ini harga bufet Ramadan yang ditawarkan oleh hotel dan restoran telah meningkat.
Dengan kadar bayaran dan harga serendah RM28 ++ hinggalah RM100++, seseorang itu boleh makan dan minum seberapa banyak yang disukai dengan pelbagai hidangan sehingga menjangkau lebih daripada 120 sajian bufet dan makanan pencuci mulut yang begitu menyelerakan.
Bufet Ramadan ini turut diiringi dengan persembahan musik dan persembahan keroncong serta Ghazal malah ada yang menyediakan penghibur tempatan secara langsung ketika pengunjung sedang menjamu selera yang secara tidak langsung akan mengalih perhatian dan melalaikan daripada menghayati hikmah ibadah puasa itu sendiri di bulan yang mulia ini.
Terdapat juga hotel yang menyediakan kemudahan surau untuk memudahkan pengunjungnya menunaikan solat wajib dan solat sunat terawih, memandangkan Ramadan bulan yang mulia maka adalah lebih besar fadhilatnya untuk kita mengimarahkan masjid-masjid.
Biasanya pengunjung yang menikmati hidangan berbuka puasa secara bufet ini akan tertarik kepada makanan yang berbau harum dan kelihatan enak dimakan malah deria bau dan pandang sering menyebabkan seseorang itu mengambil makanan yang melebihi keperluannya.
Walaupun sikap melahap makanan ditegah dalam Islam, namun tiada apa yang dapat menghalang umat Islam daripada tunduk kepada nafsu makan mereka ketika berbuka, malah ada pula sesetengahnya beranggapan mereka perlu makan seberapa banyak yang mungkin supaya berbaloi dengan wang yang dikeluarkan.
Disebabkan terlalu banyak makanan diletakkan ke dalam pinggan, ramai orang yang tidak mampu menghabiskannya, dan akhirnya makanan itu terbuang begitu sahaja sedangkan berlebih-lebihan sehingga mendatangkan pembaziran adalah bukan sebahagian daripada ajaran Islam.
Adakah umat Islam tidak menyedari bahawa makanan adalah kurniaan ALLAH SWT yang amat besar untuk kita dan kita akan disoal di akhirat nanti mengenai pembaziran yang kita lakukan?
Ingatlah firman ALLAH SWT dalam Surah Al A’raaf, ayat 3, “Makan dan minumlah, dan janganlah berlebih-lebihan. Sesungguhnya Allah tidak menyukai orang yang berlebih-lebihan.” Manakala Surah Al Israa’, ayat 26 dan 27, “Dan janganlah kamu membazir, sesungguhnya orang yang membazir itu saudara syaitan.”
Jika kita meneliti semula jumlah makanan yang dibazirkan pada bulan Ramadan terutama bufet di hotel, kita akan menyedari bahawa ummah masa kini pada umumnya sudah kehilangan perasaan kasih sayang sesama sendiri.
Ketika ramai berpeluang menikmati makanan terbaik untuk diri sendiri dan keluarga sehingga ke tahap pembaziran, mereka lupa bahawa masih ada lagi saudara seagama dengan mereka yang menderita dalam kemiskinan dan kelaparan.
Apa yang berlaku ini amat bertentangan sekali dengan amalan Islam dan keadaan ini amat memalukan kerana perkara ini berlaku di negara ini. Ia juga memalukan untuk menggalakkan dan mempromosikan kegelojohan.
Selain pembaziran makanan, banyak masa terbuang ketika berbuka di hotel kerana mereka cenderung untuk makan dengan banyak sehingga menjadi terlalu kenyang yang memungkinkan kesukaran untuk menunaikan ibadat solat khususnya solat terawih di masjid.
Suasana serta amalan berbuka puasa di hotel seperti yang disebutkan di atas langsung tidak mencerminkan keberkesanan dan keberkatan ibadat puasa itu sendiri yang antara lain menuntut ummah agar tidak keterlaluan makan dan minum yang sekali gus membawa kepada pembaziran.
Ingatlah akan sabda Nabi Muhamad SAW, “Lawanlah nafsu makanmu dengan menahan lapar dan dahaga kerana ganjaran pahalanya sama seperti berjihad di jalan ALLAH. Tidak ada pengabdian yang lebih besar kepada ALLAH daripada menahan lapar dan dahaga.”
Sehubungan itu, sempena hari yang baik dan bulan yang baik ini marilah kita bersama-sama kembali kepada ajaran Islam dan amalan yang sebenarnya serta tidak terpengaruh dengan perkara yang melalaikan dan merugikan.
Sesungguhnya ketahuilah bahawa bulan Ramadan adalah bulan suci antara semua bulan dalam setahun dan ALLAH SWT menghendaki semua hambanya memenuhi bulan tersebut dengan amalan ibadat, ketaatan dan taqarrub kepadaNya untuk menyuci diri.
Kekenyangan yang berterusan dalam kehidupan seseorang akan memenuhi dan menyuburkan jiwanya dengan sifat-sifat keras hati dan keterlaluan dan semoga Ramadan ini akan dapat membangunkan masyarakat Islam dengan sifat kasih sayang dan prihatin.
