Bulan Ramadhan adalah bulan di perintahkannya ibadah puasa kepada umat Islam pada tahun kedua hijrah.
Allah SWT berfirman dalam Surah Al-Baqarah, ayat 183:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
Ertinya:
"Wahai orang-orang yang beriman, diwajibkan ke atas kamu berpuasa sebagaimana diwajibkan ke atas orang-orang sebelum kamu agar kamu menjadi insan yang bertakwa (QS. Al-Baqarah : 183)
Namun demikian, tidak kalah pentingnya dalam bulan Ramadhan juga mencatat banyak sejarah yang penting yang berlaku. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menjadikan bulan Ramadhan sebagai inspirasi kepada kejayaan dan kecemerlangan dalam kehidupan. Bukan di jadikan alasan kemunduran dan kelemahan dalam kehidupan.
Dalam tazkirah hari ini, USM ingin menjelaskan sedikit tentang peristiwa penting yang berlaku pada bulan Ramadhan. Dan USM membahagikannya kedalam 2 siri TAZKIRAH.
Ada 8 peristiwa yang penting dalam sejarah islam yang berlaku di bulan Ramadhan. Diantara peristiwa tersebut adalah:
1.BULAN DITURUNKAN AL-QUR'AN.
Para pakar tafsir dan hadis merekodkan, bahawasanya Allah SWT menurunkan kitab-kitab dan suhuf iaitu kitab kecil selain Zabur, Taurat, Injil dan al-Qur'an kepada para rasul terdahulu pada bulan Ramadhan.
Allah SWT berfirman dalam Surah Al-Baqarah, ayat 185:
شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَىٰ وَالْفُرْقَانِ َ
Ertinya:
"Pada bulan Ramadhan, bulan yang di dalamnya diturunkan (permulaan) Al Quran sebagai petunjuk bagi manusia dan penjelasan-penjelasan mengenai petunjuk itu dan pembeza (antara yang hak dan yang bathil). ( QS. Al-Baqarah : 185 )
2. PERISTIWA PERANG BADAR.
PADA hari Jumaat 2 Ramadhan tahun 2 Hijrah berlakunya perang pertama dalam Islam yang di kenali Perang Badar. Tentera Islam mengawal lokasi strategik dengan menguasai sumber air yang terdapat di daerah itu.
Tentera Islam seramai 313 berhadapan dengan 1000 tentera musyrikin Makkah yang lengkap bersenjata. Tentera Islam memenangi pertempuran dengan 70 tentera musyrikin terbunuh, 70 lagi ditawan manakala bakinya melarikan diri.
Peperangan ini luar biasa. Tentera Islam kurang jumlahnya, lemah daripada sudut kelengkapan persenjataan dan dalam keadaan berpuasa, akan tetapi dapat memenangi peperangan Badar.
Hal ini membuktikan puasa bukan faktor penyebab umat Islam bersikap lemah dan malas sebaliknya berusaha demi mencapai keredhaan Allah SWT.
Firman Allah SWT dalam Surah Ali-Imran, ayat 123:
وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِبَدْرٍ وَأَنتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Ertinya:
"Sungguh Allah SWT telah menolong kamu dalam peperangan Badar, padahal kamu adalah (ketika itu) orang-orang yang lemah. Karena itu bertakwalah kepada Allah, agar kamu mensyukuri-Nya". (QS. Ali-Imran : 123 )
3. PEMBUKAAN KOTA MAKKAH (FATHU MAKKAH).
Peristiwa ini berlaku pada 10 Ramadhan tahun ke 6 Hijrah. Peristiwa kemuncak ini berlaku apabila musyrikin Makkah melanggar perjanjian Hudaibiyah yang telah termeterai dengan orang Islam.
-Antara kandungan perjanjian ini menyebut, setiap suku Arab boleh memilih sama ada menjadi sekutu Muhammad ataupun sekutu Quraisy.
Kedua-dua pihak tidak boleh berperang dalam tempoh 10 tahun dan tidak boleh membantu pihak lain berperang.
Malangnya, dalam suku-suku Arab yang bersekutu itu, ada golongan yang bertelagah iaitu Bani Bakar dan Khuza’ah. Bani Bakar bersekutu dengan Quraisy Makkah manakala Bani Khuza’ah memilih bersekutu dengan Nabi Muhammad SAW.
Pada suatu malam, Bani Bakar dengan pertolongan Quraisy Makkah menyerang perkampungan suku Khuza’ah di lembah Watir. Apabila berita itu sampai ke pengetahuan Nabi Muhammad SAW, baginda mengerahkan ratusan ribu umat Islam menuju ke Makkah, tanpa pengetahuan penduduk musyrikin Makkah.
Baginda menolak sebarang rundingan dengan pihak Quraisy sehingga kemaraan umat Islam hanya diketahui mereka apabila hampir memasuki Kota Makkah.
Akhirnya umat Islam dapat memasuki kota Makkah tanpa sebarang partumpahan darah. Peristiwa ini telah menggambarkan pertolongan Allah SWT kepada hamba-hamba yang ikhlas kepada-Nya.
Allah SWT menyebut dalam al-Qur'an, dalam Surah An-Nasr, ayat 1:
إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ
Ertinya:
Apabila telah datang pertolongan Allah SWT dan kemenangan (QS. An-Nasr : 1 )
4. PERISTIWA PERJALANAN NABI MUHAMMAD SAW KE TABUK
Pengaruh Nabi Muhammad SAW tersebar ke pelosok Semenanjung Tanah Arab, ia memberikan tamparan hebat kepada Rom yang menjadi kuasa besar pada masa itu. Lantas Herkules, Maharaja Rom Timur (Bizantin) memutuskan bagi menyekat pengaruh umat Islam dengan utara Tanah Arab.
Apabila berita itu sampai ke pengetahuan Nabi Muhammad SAW, baginda mengarahkan umat Islam berkumpul bagi menghadapi Rom dan mengutip zakat. Pada masa itu, tanah Arab dilanda panas dan kesusahan.
Mereka tetap taat kepada perintah Nabi Muhammad SAW. Baginda sendiri memimpin tentera seramai 30,000 anggota menuju ke utara kota Madinah.
Apabila tentera Islam tiba di Tabuk, tentera Islam terus mengasak Rom sehingga termeterai perjanjian antara Islam dan Rom.
Sebagai persetujuan, Rom tunduk dan bernaung di bawah pemerintahan Rasulullah SAW dan dikenakan cukai sebanyak 3000 dinar setiap tahun.
Ya Allah terimalah puasa kami dan amalan ibadah yang lainnya. Mudah-mudahan Engkau menjadikan kami sebagai hamba-Mu yang bertaqwa. Aamiinn Yaa Robbal 'Aalamiin !!!!!
5. ISLAM SAMPAI DI YAMAN
Yaman terletak di selatan Semenanjung Tanah Arab. Nabi Muhammad SAW mengutuskan Ali bin Abu talib dengan membawa surat baginda untuk penduduk Yaman khususnya suku Hamdan. Dalam tempoh satu hari, kesemua mereka memeluk agama Islam secara aman. Peristiwa bersejarah itu berlaku pada bulan Ramadhan tahun ke 10 Hijrah.
6.KHALID BIN AL WALID MERUNTUHKAN BERHALA AL ‘UZZA
Selepas umat Islam membebaskan kota Makkah, Nabi Muhammad SAW menyucikannya dengan memusnahkan 360 patung disekeliling Kaabah.
Lima hari sebelum berakhirnya Ramadhan tahun ke 9 Hijrah, beliau menghantar Khalid al Walid bagi memusnahkan patung besar al ‘Uzza di Nakhla.
Khalid al Walid melaksanakan tugas itu dengan bergerak menuju ke Nakhla lalu menghancurkan patung al ‘Uzza. Selepas itu, penyembahan patung pun berakhir.
7. PENYERAHAN KOTA THAIF
Kota Taif pernah mencatatkan sejarah hitam apabila penduduknya mengahalau Nabi Muhammad SAW semasa baginda berdakwah di sana.
Selepas baginda dan umat Islam Berjaya membebaskan Makkah, golongan bani Thaqif berkeras tidak mahu tunduk kepada Nabi Muhammad SAW. Nabi Muhammad SAW dan tentera Islam mara ke Taif lalu mengepungnya dalam tempoh yang lama.
Akhirnya rombongan mereka datang ke Makkah pada bulan Ramadhan tahun ke 9 Hijrah dengan menyerahkan Bandar Thaif sebagai tanda menyerah kalah. Patung al Laata yang dipuja sebelum ini pun dimusnahkan.
8.PEMBUKAAN KOTA ANDALUSIA (SEPANYOL)
Andalusia adalah nama Arab yang diberikan kepada wilayah-wilayah bahagian Semenanjung Liberia yang diperintah oleh orang Islam selama beberapa waktu bermula tahun 711 hingga 1492 Masihi. Pada 28 Ramadhan tahun ke 92 Hijrah, panglima Islam bernama Tariq bin Ziyad dihantar pemerintahan Bani Umaiyah bagi menawan Andalus.
-Selepas pasukan tentera Islam mendarat, Tariq membakar kapal-kapal tentera Islam supaya mereka tidak berfikir untuk berundur.
-Akhirnya, Andalusia ditawan dan menyelamatkan rakyatnya yang dizalimi. Islam bertapak di Andalusia selama lapan abad dan meninggalkan kesan tamadun yang tinggi nilainya kepada dunia Barat.
