Tapi bagaimana bisa orang yang mengintip malah justru masuk surga. Kisah masuk surga gara-gara mengintip perempuan mandi ini bermula dari seorang pembantu Rasulullah yang bernama Tsa’labah. Pada suatu hari, Rasulullah mengutus Tsa’labah untuk keperluan tertentu. Kemudian ia melaksanakan perintah nabi tersebut, namun di tengah perjalanan dia melihat ke salah satu pintu di rumah sahabat Anshor. Dari celah di pintu itu, ia melihat seorang wanita sedang mandi dan mengintip wanita itu hingga berulang kali.
Setelah perbuatannya, Tsa’labah terus ketakutan dan merasa malu atas perbuatannya tersebut. Ia takut jika suatu ketika, diturunkan wahyu oleh Allah yang menceritakan perbuatan Tsa’labah tersebut. Ia akan merasa sangat malu kepada orang-orang. Oleh karena itu, ia memutuskan untuk pergi ke lembah gunung di antara Madinah dan Makkah seorang diri. Ia memutuskan untuk meninggalkan Rasul dan berjanji tidak akan kembali lagi ke Madinah.
Kepergian Tsa’labah ini menimbulkan kehilangan pada Rasulullah karena ia pergi selama 40 hari. Lalu datanglah malaikat Jibril kepada Rasul dan menyampaikan salam Allah bahwa ada seorang umat Rasul yang melarikan diri dan berada di antara sebuah gunung ini dan itu. Orang itu selalu memohon perlindungan kepada Allah agar terhindar dari neraka.
Mengetahui hal itu, Rasul mengutus Salman dan Umar untuk menyusuri gunung-gunung di sekitar Madinah. Kemudian mereka bertemu dengan penggembala bernama Dzufafah. Mereka bertanya kepada penggembala itu apakah ia melihat pemuda di antara gunung ini. Kemudian ia memastikan apakah orang tersebut adalah orang yang telah lari dari neraka Jahanam. Mendengar jawaban tersebut, Umar bertanya darimana penggembala itu tahu mengenai hal ini. Dzufafah menjelaskan bahwa ketika pemuda itu keluar dari gunung ia akan memegang kepalanya dengan berteriak agar Allah mencabut nyawanya agar ia tidak ditelanjangi pada hari kiamat nanti. Lalu Umar membetulkan perkataan penggembala itu.
Utusan Rasul tersebut kemudian mengintai sebuah gunung dan tak berapa lama Tsa’labah keluar seperti apa yang dikatakan Dzufafah. Melihat hal tersebut mereka berlari mengejar Tsa’labah dan mendekapnya sambil berkata ia akan aman dan selamat dari neraka. Meninggal dan masuk surga setelah mengintip perempuan mandi masih dapat terjadi karena Allah adalah Maha Pemaaf.
Tsa’labah takut jika Rasul mengetahui akan dosanya itu. Kemudian ia meminta jika ia tidak akan ditemukan oleh Rasulullah melainkan ketika Rasulullah sedang shalat atau Bilal sedang iqomah. Ketika Rasul sedang shalat, Tsa’labah dipertemukan dengan Rasul dengan menjadi mukmin di sholat Rasul. Namun, di tengah sholat, ia jatuh pingsan karena ketakutan yang amat besar. Lalu Rasul mencari dan ingin bertemu dengan Tsa’labah. Beliau bertanya bukankah telah diajarkan cara menghapus dosa kepadanya. Tapi Tsa’labah selalu berkata jika dosa yang ia lakukan terlalu besar.
Tak berapa lama setelah Tsa’labah pulang, ia jatuh sakit dan Rasul kemudian menjenguknya. Beliau bertanya apa yang diinginkan oleh Tsa’labah, lalu ia menjawab ampunan Allah atas dosanya. Rasul kemudian menuntut Tsa’labah untuk membaca doa penghapus dosa. Setelah itu datanglah malaikat Jibril untuk memberikan kabar bahwa Allah telah menghapuskan segala dosa Tsa’labah dan ia akan masuk surga. Tak berapa lama, Tsa’labah meninggal dengan khusnul khotimah, ternyata meski pengintip perempuan mandi tetap masuk surga.
Demikian pemuda ini masuk surga karena mengintip wanita mandi. Di sini mengintip orang mandi memang tidak dibenarkan, tetapi pemuda tersebut mau mengakui dan bertobat dari dosa-dosanya.
Setelah perbuatannya, Tsa’labah terus ketakutan dan merasa malu atas perbuatannya tersebut. Ia takut jika suatu ketika, diturunkan wahyu oleh Allah yang menceritakan perbuatan Tsa’labah tersebut. Ia akan merasa sangat malu kepada orang-orang. Oleh karena itu, ia memutuskan untuk pergi ke lembah gunung di antara Madinah dan Makkah seorang diri. Ia memutuskan untuk meninggalkan Rasul dan berjanji tidak akan kembali lagi ke Madinah.
Kepergian Tsa’labah ini menimbulkan kehilangan pada Rasulullah karena ia pergi selama 40 hari. Lalu datanglah malaikat Jibril kepada Rasul dan menyampaikan salam Allah bahwa ada seorang umat Rasul yang melarikan diri dan berada di antara sebuah gunung ini dan itu. Orang itu selalu memohon perlindungan kepada Allah agar terhindar dari neraka.
Mengetahui hal itu, Rasul mengutus Salman dan Umar untuk menyusuri gunung-gunung di sekitar Madinah. Kemudian mereka bertemu dengan penggembala bernama Dzufafah. Mereka bertanya kepada penggembala itu apakah ia melihat pemuda di antara gunung ini. Kemudian ia memastikan apakah orang tersebut adalah orang yang telah lari dari neraka Jahanam. Mendengar jawaban tersebut, Umar bertanya darimana penggembala itu tahu mengenai hal ini. Dzufafah menjelaskan bahwa ketika pemuda itu keluar dari gunung ia akan memegang kepalanya dengan berteriak agar Allah mencabut nyawanya agar ia tidak ditelanjangi pada hari kiamat nanti. Lalu Umar membetulkan perkataan penggembala itu.
Utusan Rasul tersebut kemudian mengintai sebuah gunung dan tak berapa lama Tsa’labah keluar seperti apa yang dikatakan Dzufafah. Melihat hal tersebut mereka berlari mengejar Tsa’labah dan mendekapnya sambil berkata ia akan aman dan selamat dari neraka. Meninggal dan masuk surga setelah mengintip perempuan mandi masih dapat terjadi karena Allah adalah Maha Pemaaf.
Tsa’labah takut jika Rasul mengetahui akan dosanya itu. Kemudian ia meminta jika ia tidak akan ditemukan oleh Rasulullah melainkan ketika Rasulullah sedang shalat atau Bilal sedang iqomah. Ketika Rasul sedang shalat, Tsa’labah dipertemukan dengan Rasul dengan menjadi mukmin di sholat Rasul. Namun, di tengah sholat, ia jatuh pingsan karena ketakutan yang amat besar.
