Sebuah puisi manis yang dibuat wakil presiden RI, Jusuf Kalla menyatakan penyesalan kepada istrinya.



Puisi tersebut ditujukan kepada sang istri tercinta, Mufidah Kalla.

Meski mengaku tidak bisa romantis, isi puisi Jusuf Kalla ini benar-benar menunjukkan betapa bahagianya kehidupan rumah tangga keduanya.

Puisi tersebut dibacakannya di hadapan umum saat perayaan hari ulang tahun ke-50 pernikahan di Hotel Dharmawangsa, Jakarta, pada Minggu (27/8/2017) malam.

JK memberi judul puisi itu ‘Setengah Abad yang Indah’ yang merupakan kado spesial buat sang istri.

Kalimat per kalimat, JK mengulang kenangan manis kisah cinta mereka.

Perjuangannya mendapatkan sang pujaan hati, hingga kehidupan setelah menikah yang penuh tantangan.

Hanya saja ada satu pernyataan maaf di akhir puisi tersebut, JK merasa menyesal karena selama 50 tahun tak pernah berucap kata ‘i love you’ sambil memberinya bunga.

Ia merasa tak romantis karena tak bisa melakukan hal itu pada sang istri yang sudah memberikannya 5 anak.

Di hari minggu yang sama setengah abad yang lalu, kita duduk bersanding dengan penuh bahagia.

Di aula hotel Negara, Makassar yang pada waktu itu cukup terpandang. Sekarang sudah bubar itu hotel.

Setelah paginya akad nikah di rumah, yang dipenuhi para keluarga, itu hari terindah dalam hidupku.

Aku pertama kali melihatmu, waktu kita di SMA. Kita bersebelahan kelas. Karena kau adik kelasku.

Aku terpesona dengan kesederhanaanmu. Walaupun kau sempat takut tak peduli padaku.

Aku menyukaimu pada detik pertama aku melihatmu.

Tujuh tahun lamanya aku berusaha untuk mendekati dan meyakinkanmu.

Tapi engkau seperti jinak-jinak merpati. Sama dengan nama jalan di depan rumahmu.

Antara mau dan tidak sering membingungkan tidak jelas.

Aku bersabar berjuang dengan waktu. Namanya pacaran tapi kurang asyik seperti teman teman saya lainnya.

Ke mana-mana kau dikawal oleh adik-adikmu kayak Paspampres saja.

Walaupun aku punya vespa tapi kamu enggak pernah mau dibonceng.

Selama tujuh tahun kita hanya sekali nonton bioskop. Itu pun dengan teman-temanmu. Sehingga untuk bisa memegang tanganmu saja, sangat sulit.

Tapi kutahu hal yang sulit biasanya berakhir manis. Akar budaya kita memang berbeda, antara Bugis dan Minang.

Orangtuamu terkadang khawatir karena engkau anak perempuan satu-satunya. Adiknya laki-laki semua.

Orangtuaku pula sering salah mengerti adat Minang. Kenapa perempuan lebih banyak menentukan. Perbedaan yang nyaris menduakan kita.

Kalau ke rumahmu harus siap untuk sabar. Mendengar petuah bapakmu dengan suara yang pelan, seperti guru menasehati muridnya.

Karena memang bapak dan ibumu juga guru.

Aku ingin menemuimu tapi bapakmu menyembunyikanmu. Kau baru dipanggil keluar kalau saya permisi pulang.

Sebenarnya itu termasuk perilaku yang kejam.

Datang ke rumahmu sore hari sebelum magrib, begitu magrib aku berdiri dan adzan dengan fasih.

Keluar salat berjamaah yang diimami oleh bapakmu. Ini juga penting dengan bapakmu aku juga lagi shalat.

Anak-anak kita kau asuh sendiri tanpa suster-suster seperti cucu kita sekarang.

Selama 50 tahun kau chef terbaik yang kukenal karenanya kita jarang makan di restoran.

Di kantor pun setiap hari kau kirim makanan. Teman-teman selalu menunggu apa yang akan kau hidangkan.
