Awalnya digunakan sebagai sekolah untuk anak perempuan di bawah nama Hayswood Seminary, tak lama kemudian tempat itu sekali lagi digunakan sebagai rumah sakit, yang dikenal sebagai Rumah Sakit Hayswood.

Banyaknya pasien yang datang ke rumah sakit ini, membuatnya melakukan penambahan ruangan pada 1971.

Usai perbaikan, Rumah Sakit Hayswood akhirnya memiliki 86 kamar pasien yang kebanyakan melayani pasien dari Maysville.

Kemajuan teknologi di bidang medis di kota lain membuat Rumah Sakit Hayswood semakin jatuh.
