Korps Lalu Lintas Polri menggelar Operasi Zebra selama 14 hari atau dua pekan, mulai Rabu (1/11/2017) hingga Selasa (14/11/2017).
Baru dua hari berjalan, serangkaian kegiatan tersebut memunculkan beragam kejadian tak terduga.
Bila pada hari pertama, salah satu pemain Persija Jakarta kena tilang akibat memodifikasi nomor plat kendaraan, Kamis (2/11/2017) warganet dikejutkan aksi nekat salah satu pengendara.
Upaya polisi lalu lintas dan TNI juga petugas Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) untuk menghentikan laju mobil Daihatsu Xenia putih saat terjaring Operasi Zebra gagal.
Dalam video yang diunggah di Instagram oleh akun 'edorusia', pengendara Xenia putih yang tidak diketahui identitasnya itu berhasil kabur dari hadangan petugas.
Video tersebut langsung menjadi viral di media sosial.
Informasi yang dihimpun, kejadian tersebut terjadi wilayah Tangerang Kota, Rabu (1/11/2017).
Dalam video itu terlihat sejumlah anggota polantas berusaha menahan mobil Xenia putih berplat B agar tidak memaksa maju.
Namun, rupanya sopir yang tidak terlihat dari luar karena kaca film cukup gelap tetap berusaha menginjak gas sehingga polisi menambah personel untuk menahan kendaraan tersebut.
Seorang anggota TNI yang juga terlibat dalam razia ikut membantu dengan menahan body kanan mobil.
Bahkan, beberapa anggota Dishub mengetuk-ngetuk kaca mobil namun tidak diindahkan sopir tersebut.
Semakin banyak petugas yang menghadang tidak membuat ciut sopir tersebut.
Dengan sekali injak gas, mobil melesat dan membuat semua anggota berhamburan.
Dalam percakapan di video tersebut, seorang polantas meminta anggota lainnya untuk melakukan pengejaran.
Namun, hingga kini belum diperoleh informasi apakah mobil tersebut berhasil diamankan atau tidak.

Sejak 1 November 2017 Korlantas Polri menggelar Operasi Zebra 2017 serentak di seluruh Indonesia.
Operasi akan digelar hingga dua pekan ke depan, yaitu tanggal 14 November.
Operasi Zebra adalah kegiatan rutin yang dilakukan oleh kepolisian lalu lintas untuk menekan pelanggaran berlalu lintas dan meminimalisir angka kecelakaan.
Untuk tahun ini, Operasi Zebra bertajuk, 'Penegakkan Hukum dan Meningkatkan Kesadaran Serta Kepatuhan Masyarakat Dalam Berlalu Lintas: Stop Pelanggaran, Stop Kecelakaan, Keselamatan Untuk Kemanusiaan'.

"Operasi Zebra dari tahun ke tahun kami laksanakan. Saya harapkan semua mampu membuat getaran dan pengaruh harus ada, harus mampu menekan angka kecelakaan," ujar Royke saat menjadi inspektur upacara.
Royke menegaskan bahwa kepada seluruh bawahannya untuk melaksanakan penegakkan hukum yang tegas kepada masyarakat yang memang melakukan pelanggaran.
Dalam gelar pasukan Operasi Zebra ini sendiri dihadir oleh perwakilan Jasa Marga, Jasa Raharja,
Ditjen Perhubungan Darat dan sejumlah pejabat utama Korlantas Polri.
Tak hanya itu, acara ini juga dimeriahkan oleh aksi polisi cilik dan atraksi peragaan motor besar Polisi Wanita (Polwan) dari kesatuan Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya.
Meskipun tujuan Operasi Zebra salah satunya untuk menindak pelanggar lalu lintas baik pengendara motor maupun mobil dan angkutan umum, namun hingga kini masih banyak pengendara tidak jera.
Salah satu pelanggaran yang kerap ditemukan petugas adalah melawan arus dan tidak memakai helm.
Baru-baru ini sebuah video razia polisi diunggah oleh akun Today Klip 2.0 di facebook.
Video tersebut diunggah 27 Oktober 2017 atau sebelum digelarnya Operasi Zebra.
Video berdurasi sekitar 5 menit itu memperlihatkan bagaimana petugas lalu lintas harus berlari-lari mengejar pengendara motor yang mencoba kabur.
Tidak disebutkan dimana lokasi razia, namun dilihat dari video tersebut sepertinya di salah ruas jalan di Jakarta.
Umumnya pengendara yang melanggar adalah karena melawan arus.
Mereka kebanyakan pengendara motor.
Tak hanya motor pribadi, ada pula pengendara motor plat merah bertuliskan Dinas Perhubungan yang ikut terjaring.
Namun, saat ditanya pengendara itu menolak menjawab apakah dia petugas Dishub atau bukan.
Di video itu juga kejadian lucu diperlihatkan seorang pengendara wanita.
Wanita yang mengendarai motor matik itu 'ngomel' karena ditilang.
"Saya kerja di Sudirman, kalau lewat sana kan macet, makanya lewat sini," ucapnya dengan nada kesal.
Sejak diunggah, video itu telah ditonton lebih dari 80 ribu orang dan dibagikan oleh ratusan pengguna facebook lainnya.
