Gara-gara swafoto (selfie), sepasang kekasih meninggal setelah terempas dan terseret arus di Pantai Telawas di Desa Mekar Sari, Kecamatan Praya Barat, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, Lombok.
Jenazah Eka Mardayanti kemudian ditemukan pada Minggu (14/1/2018).
Sementara jenazah Deddy Suriadi, kekasihnya, ditemukan pada Selasa (16/1/2018) sekitar pukul 08.00 WITA.
Kepergian mereka membuat sedih orang-orang yang telah mengenalnya semasa hidup.
Tak terkecuali Marwan Sugandi (22), mantan kekasih Eka.
Dirinya tampak merasa sangat terpukul mendengar kabar duka dari mahasiswi semester V jurusan D3 Perpajakan Universitas Mataram itu.
"Seumpama keranda jenazah itu bisa saya pikul sendiri, saya bersedia mengusungnya sendiri," kata Marwan saat mengantar jenazah Eka ke pemakaman umum di Desa Kawo, Kecamatan Pujut, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, Senin (15/1/2018).
Marwan mengaku masih belum melupakan kisah kasih yang pernah ia jalin dengan Eka selama lima tahun.
Melansir Kompas.com, bagi Marwan Eka merupakan sosok perempuan yang setia, baik, penyabar, periang, dan tidak suka diduakan.
Menurut Marwan, mantan kekasihnya itu juga selalu mengatakan langsung apa yang ia rasakan, baik rasa sayang maupun cemburu.
"Dulu, kalau dia melihat saya dekat dengan perempuan lain, dia pasti meminta penjelasan ke saya. Biar semua jelas, biar hubungan kami jelas," kata lelaki yang berprofesi sebagai polisi itu.
Marwan juga menceritakan betapa perhatiannya Eka kepada dirinya saat menjalani pendidikan di Polda Mataram.
Eka kerap menjenguk, mengantar nasi, bahkan mencuci pakaian Marwan saat itu.
Selain itu, Marwan juga mengenal Eka sebagai gadis yang suka berlibur.
"Eka itu cewek yang senang diajak liburan, tetapi ketika liburan sama saya, saya dan dia hanya pergi ke tempat-tempat biasa saja, seperti Pantai Ampenan, Air Terjun Benang Setukel, dan Taman Narmada. Tapi itu pun jarang-jarang," ujar Marwan.
"Setelah berpacaran dengan Dedy Suriadi, hampir setiap hari libur Eka pergi ke destinasi wisata yang tengah booming saat ini dengan Dedi," tambah Nanang (24), sepupu Eka Darmayanti.
Kini, jenazah Eka dan Deddy dimakamkan di pemakaman yang sama, dalam waktu yang berbeda.
Saat jenazah Deddy tiba di rumah duka, keluarga tidak mengizinkan pelayat melihatnya.
Hal tersebut lantaran jasad Deddy sudah dalam kondisi terendam di air laut selama tiga hari tiga malam.
Tak berbeda dari Eka, kepergian Deddy juga meninggalkan duka bagi keluarga dan kerabatnya.
Ia dikenal aktif dalam kegiataan kepemudaan forum pemuda atau Karang Taruna Desa Kawo.
"Saya sebagai salah satu sahabat Deddy merasa kehilangan Deddy, sosok pemuda yang selalu paling antusias jika ada kegiatan-kegiatan kepemudaan di desa kami," kata Gede Mulawarman (22), tetangga Deddy.
Semasa hidup, Deddy juga dinilai sebagai pemuda romantis.
Ia disebut kerap mengunggah video dan foto bersama sang kekasih serta membagikan curhatan senang dan sedih di Facebook maupun Instagram.
Pemuda yang bekerja sebagai sales sampo ini memulai perjalanan cintanya dengan Eka dua tahun yang lalu, setelah ia lulus dari Universitas Malang.
Kini maut pun telah mereka hadapi bersama-sama, disaksikan oleh deretan batu karang di bibir pantai.

Eka kerap menjenguk, mengantar nasi, bahkan mencuci pakaian Marwan saat itu.
Selain itu, Marwan juga mengenal Eka sebagai gadis yang suka berlibur.
"Eka itu cewek yang senang diajak liburan, tetapi ketika liburan sama saya, saya dan dia hanya pergi ke tempat-tempat biasa saja, seperti Pantai Ampenan, Air Terjun Benang Setukel, dan Taman Narmada. Tapi itu pun jarang-jarang," ujar Marwan.
"Setelah berpacaran dengan Dedy Suriadi, hampir setiap hari libur Eka pergi ke destinasi wisata yang tengah booming saat ini dengan Dedi," tambah Nanang (24), sepupu Eka Darmayanti.
Kini, jenazah Eka dan Deddy dimakamkan di pemakaman yang sama, dalam waktu yang berbeda.
Saat jenazah Deddy tiba di rumah duka, keluarga tidak mengizinkan pelayat melihatnya.
Hal tersebut lantaran jasad Deddy sudah dalam kondisi terendam di air laut selama tiga hari tiga malam.
Tak berbeda dari Eka, kepergian Deddy juga meninggalkan duka bagi keluarga dan kerabatnya.
Ia dikenal aktif dalam kegiataan kepemudaan forum pemuda atau Karang Taruna Desa Kawo.
