Terjemahan seekor semut benar dan dapat diterima, tetapi pertanyaan kritisnya, apakah semut tersebut betina atau jantan? Ketentuan mudzakkar-nya al-qamar (bulan) dan mu'annats-nya al-syamsu (matahari) tidak merujuk pada kelamin, tetapi sekedar klasifikasi jenis isim belaka. Tidak demikian halnya dengan semut yang merupakan mahluk berkelamin sehingga isim mudzakkar-mu'annats akan mengelompokkan jenis semut.
