Berjam-jam membaca al-Qur’an sesuatu yang amat jarang kita lakukan. Berjam-jam mengikuti kajian kitab pun jarang kita lakukan. Berjam-jam membolak-balik kitab para ulama pun sulit untuk kita saksikan pada kebanyakan sosok pemuda muslim di jaman ini. Namun, berjam-jam di depan internet tanpa ada aktifitas yang jelas dan bermutu adalah sesuatu yang lumrah. Terlebih lagi dengan adanya facebook yang kini marak di dunia maya. Sungguh benar Allah ta’ala yang berfirman (yang artinya), “Demi masa, sesungguhnya semua orang benar-benar berada dalam kerugian, kecuali orang-orang yang beriman, beramal salih, saling menasihati dalam kebenaran, dan saling menasihati dalam kesabaran.” (QS. al-’Ashr : 1-3).
Perkembangan teknologi bukanlah sesuatu yang bisa disalahkan. Hanya saja, kebanyakan orang tidak bisa menggunakan produk kecanggihan teknologi itu dengan sebagaimana seharusnya. Cobalah kita ingat beberapa belas tahun yang silam, ketika televisi masih menjadi barang langka, ketika internet dan hape belum meluas sebagaimana sekarang. Niscaya akan kita dapati banyak kemungkaran yang dahulu jarang kita temukan terjadi secara terang-terangan ternyata pada jaman sekarang ini sudah menjadi barang yang biasa dan lumrah menghiasi PC, laptop, dan perangkat komunikasi para generasi muda. Allahul musta’an! Sungguh benar sabda Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, “Segeralah beramal sebelum datangnya fitnah-fitnah bak potongan-potongan malam yang gelap gulita. Pada pagi hari seorang masih beriman namun di sore harinya dia telah menjadi kafir.” Atau “Pada sore hari masih beriman namun di pagi harinya dia menjadi kafir.” “Dia rela menjual agamanya demi mendapatkan sekeping kesenangan dunia.” (HR. Muslim).
Saudaraku -semoga Allah menjaga diriku dan dirimu- waktu yang Allah berikan kepada kita merupakan nikmat yang sangat agung. Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, “Ada dua buah nikmat yang kebanyakan manusia terpedaya karena tidak bisa menggunakan keduanya dengan baik, yaitu kesehatan dan waktu luang.” (HR. Bukhari). Hasan al-Bashri rahimahullah mengatakan, “Hai anak Adam, sesungguhnya kamu adalah kumpulan perjalanan hari. Setiap kali hari berlalu maka lenyaplah sebagian dari dirimu.” Ada orang yang mengatakan, “Waktu bagaikan pedang, kalau kamu tidak menebasnya -dengan kebaikan- maka dia akan menebasmu -dengan keburukan-.”
Hidup di dunia adalah sementara ya akhi…, untuk apa kita buang waktu kita dalam perkara-perkara yang sia-sia? Allah ta’ala berfirman (yang artinya), “Apakah kalian mengira, bahwa Kami menciptakan kalian sia-sia belaka, dan kalian tidak akan dikembalikan kepada Kami?”. (QS. al-Mukminun : 115). Allah juga berfirman (yang artinya), “Kemudian sesudah itu kalian juga akan mati, lantas kalian kelak akan dibangkitkan pada hari kiamat.” (QS. al-Mukminun : 15-16).
Setiap mukmin, ketika ditanya; untuk apa anda hidup? Niscaya selama akalnya masih waras akan menjawab; untuk beribadah kepada Allah. Benar-benar jawaban yang cerdas. Namun, ketika kita perhatikan dengan seksama aktifitas dan perilaku manusia di alam nyata dalam bentuk gerak-gerik mata, jari-jemari, tangan dan kakinya, di kala siang, sore atau malam hari, maka akan kita temukan realita yang berkebalikan seratus delapan puluh derajat dari jawaban yang mereka lontarkan. Mereka makan untuk memenuhi hawa nafsu. Mereka memandang untuk memenuhi hawa nafsu. Mereka berjalan untuk mencapai apa yang diinginkan oleh nafsu. Mereka begadang juga untuk memenuhi tuntutan hawa nafsu. Mereka buka mata dan telinga lebar-lebar pun untuk memenuhi keinginan hawa nafsu.
Kita tidak sedang menyibukkan diri dengan membicarakan aib orang lain, namun yang kita bicarakan adalah aib-aib kita yang Allah sendirilah yang paling tahu betapa banyak aib kita di mata-Nya. Meskipun demikian, kita seperti orang yang masa bodoh dengan dosa-dosanya. Abdullah bin Mas’ud radhiyallahu’anhu mengatakan, “Seorang mukmin akan melihat dosanya bagaikan sebuah bukit besar yang akan menimpa dirinya. Sedangkan seorang yang fajir akan melihat dosanya hanya seperti seekor lalat yang hinggap di depan hidungnya kemudian dia halau dengan jari dengan santainya.”
Subhanallah! Betapa jauhnya kita dengan akhlak salafus shalih. Ibnu Abi Mulaikah mengatakan, “Aku berjumpa dengan tiga puluh sahabat Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, mereka semua merasa khawatir dirinya tertimpa kemunafikan.” Hasan al-Bashri rahimahullah mengatakan, “Seorang mukmin akan memadukan di dalam dirinya antara ihsan/perbuatan baik dengan rasa takut. Sedangkan seorang yang munafik akan memadukan di dalam dirinya antara perbuatan jelek dengan rasa aman dari tertimpa hukuman.” Allahul musta’aan!
Di manakah posisi kita wahai saudaraku! Kita menisbatkan diri sebagai seorang salafi -pengikuti pemahaman salafus shalih- namun dalam prakteknya akhlak kita seperti akhlak orang-orang Arab Badui…!
Allah ta’ala berfirman tentang akhlak orang Arab Badui (yang artinya), “Orang Arab Badui itu lebih keras kekufuran dan kemunafikannya dan sangat wajar tidak memahami batasan-batasan (hukum) yang Allah turunkan kepada rasul-Nya…” (QS. at-Taubah : 97). Syaikh as-Sa’di rahimahullah mengatakan, “Meskipun di kota maupun di pelosok/badui juga sama-sama terdapat orang kafir dan munafik, namun yang berada di pelosok itu biasanya lebih parah daripada yang hidup di kota. Salah satu buktinya adalah orang Arab badui/pelosok itu lebih rakus kepada harta dan lebih pelit terhadapnya.” (Taisir al-Karim ar-Rahman [1/457]).
Memang sebagian di antara mereka pun terdapat orang yang beriman. Allah ta’ala berfirman (yang artinya), “Dan di antara orang Arab Badui itu pun ada yang beriman kepada Allah dan hari akhir…” (QS. at-Taubah : 99). Oleh sebab itu mereka dicela bukan karena kebaduiannya, akan tetapi dikarenakan mereka meninggalkan perintah-perintah Allah, dan bahwasanya mereka adalah golongan orang yang sangat mudah terjerumus di dalamnya (lihat Taisir al-Karim ar-Rahman [1/458]).
Maka apa bedanya mereka itu (baca: Arab badui yang ‘mbeling’) dengan sebagian di antara kaum muslimin pada hari ini yang begitu mudah meninggalkan perintah-perintah Allah serta menerjang larangan-larangan-Nya semata-mata dengan alasan “Ini kan jaman moderen, biasalah.” “Kita kan masih muda, ya wajar!”. Atau dengan mengatakan, “Dari dulu ya sudah kayak gini, masak tradisi warisan nenek moyang mau kita selisihi [?!]“. Atau dengan mengatakan, “Masak tiap hari disuruh pengajian, kita ‘kan juga butuh refreshing, menikmati dunia memangnya gak boleh?”. Atau, “Ah kamu ini sok suci. Jangan munafiklah!”. “Kamu sih, sukanya yang ekstrim-esktrim.” Dan seabrek bisikan syaitan lainnya. Laa haula wa laa quwwata illa billah!
Perhatikanlah wahai saudaraku -semoga Allah membimbingmu- sesungguhnya syaitan dan bala tentaranya tidak henti-henti berupaya untuk menjerumuskan umat manusia. Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, “Sesungguhnya singgasana Iblis berada di atas lautan. Maka dia mengutus pasukan-pasukannya demi menyesatkan manusia. Bala tentaranya yang paling mulia kedudukannya di sisi Iblis adalah yang paling dahsyat menimbulkan kekacauan.” (HR. Muslim).
Suatu ketika, Aisyah radhiyallahu’anha mendapati suaminya yaitu Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam meninggalkannya di suatu malam, maka Aisyah pun merasa cemburu. Setelah pulang, Nabi melihat kegelisahan yang ada padanya, lalu Nabi berkata, “Ada apa denganmu wahai Aisyah? Apakah kamu merasa cemburu?”. Aisyah mengatakan, “Bagaimana orang sepertiku tidak merasa cemburu kepada seorang suami yang seperti anda?”. Maka Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, “Apakah syaitanmu telah mendatangimu?”. Aisyah berkata, “Wahai Rasulullah, apakah bersamaku ada syaitan?”. Beliau menjawab, “Iya.” Lalu Aisyah berkata, “Apakah semua orang juga demikian?”. Beliau menjawab, “Iya.” Aisyah kembali bertanya, “Demikian juga anda wahai Rasulullah?”. Beliau menjawab, “Iya, hanya saja Allah telah membantuku untuk menundukkannya sehingga akhirnya dia pun masuk Islam.” (HR. Muslim).
Ketika dahulu para sahabat duduk bersama untuk berbicara dan menasehati dalam rangka menambah keimanan dan ketakwaan. Eee … pada hari ini sebagian dari kita justru berkumpul dan saling bahu membahu untuk memupuk kemaksiatan dan merontokkan tembok keimanan. Tidakkah kita ingat firman Allah ta’ala (yang artinya), “Pada hari kiamat itu nanti orang-orang yang saling berkasih sayang dan berteman akan berubah menjadi saling bermusuhan kecuali orang-orang yang bertakwa.” (QS. az-Zukhruf : 67).
Maka, dengan andil besar dari syaitan dan bala tentaranya itulah, terbentuklah geng-geng, perkumpulan-perkumpulan, gerakan-gerakan, yang semuanya memiliki satu kecenderungan yang seragam yaitu bertekad bulat untuk mendurhakai ar-Rahman Sang penguasa kerajaan langit dan bumi. Dengan keyakinan mereka, mereka menanamkan bahwa kehidupan dunia adalah lahan untuk memuaskan hawa nafsu dan mengumbar kesombongan. Dengan ucapan mereka, mereka ingin mengelabui kaum muda bahwa tidak ada gunanya rajin-rajin menuntut ilmu agama, lebih baik sibuk dengan wawasan terkini dan meninggalkan al-Qur’an. Dengan sikap dan perbuatan mereka, mereka mengajak masyarakat dan para orang tua untuk bersama-sama menenggelamkan putra-putri mereka dalam pergaulan bebas tanpa batas, sehingga perbuatan keji pun dengan leluasa merajalela. Apakah maknanya ini semua, wahai saudaraku yang mulia… akankah kita biarkan kemungkaran itu terus merajalela dan merusak tunas-tunas bangsa?
Oleh sebab itu, seorang pemuda muslim yang masih menyimpan kecintaan kepada Allah dan rasul-Nya hendaknya menanamkan tekad di dalam hatinya agar tidak ikut memperkeruh raut muka umat Islam masa kini di hadapan Rabb mereka.
Jadilah sebagaimana pemuda Ibrahim yang getol untuk memperjuangan tauhid dan memberantas syirik yang ada di masyarakatnya!
Jadilah sebagaimana para pemuda Kahfi yang beriman kepada Allah dan Allah pun berkenan menambahkan hidayah kepada mereka!
Jadilah sebagaimana Ali bin Abi Thalib yang sangat keras memusuhi musuh-musuh Islam yang berani melecehkan sahabat Rasul shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam!
Jadilah sebagaimana para pemuda Anshar yang berlomba-lomba untuk maju ke medan jihad demi mempertahankan agamanya!
Jadilah sebagaimana Uwais al-Qarani yang sangat berbakti kepada ibunya!
Saudaraku, salafuna as-shalih adalah orang-orang yang sangat pelit dengan waktunya dan paling gigih dalam menjaga lisan mereka. Allah ta’ala berfirman (yang artinya), “Apakah mereka itu mengira bahwa Kami tidak mendengar rahasia dan bisik-bisikan mereka? Sebenarnya Kami mendengar, dan para utusan Kami (malaikat) selalu mencatat di sisi mereka.” (QS. az-Zukhruf : 80).
Allah ta’ala juga berfirman (yang artinya), “Tidak ada kebaikan di dalam kebanyakan perbincangan mereka kecuali orang yang menyuruh bersedekah, mengajak yang ma’ruf, atau mendamaikan di antara manusia.” (QS. an-Nisa’ : 114). Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, “Salah satu tanda baiknya keislaman seseorang adalah meninggalkan hal-hal yang tidak penting baginya.” (HR. Tirmidzi, hasan). Sebagian orang bijak mengatakan, “Apabila kamu akan berbicara maka ingatlah bahwa Allah mendengar ucapanmu. Apabila kamu diam, maka ingatlah bahwa Allah juga selalu mengawasimu.” (lihat Jami’ al-’Ulum wa al-Hikam, hal. 152).
Ikhwah sekalian, tauhid bukan sekedar tulisan yang tergores di buku-buku. Tauhid bukan sekedar dihafal di dalam pikiran. Tauhid juga bukan sekedar slogan-slogan kosong tanpa makna. Tauhid yang bersemayam di dalam hati seorang insan tentu akan membuahkan amal nyata di dalam kehidupan. Syaikhul Islam Ibnu Taimiyah rahimahullah mengatakan, “..pokok keimanan itu tertanam di dalam hati yaitu ucapan dan perbuatan hati. Ia mencakup pengakuan yang disertai pembenaran dan rasa cinta dan ketundukan. Sedangkan apa yang ada di dalam hati pastilah akan tampak konsekuensinya dalam perbuatan anggota-anggota badan. Apabila seseorang tidak melakukan konsekuensinya maka itu menunjukkan bahwa iman itu tidak ada atau lemah [padanya]. Oleh karena itu maka amal-amal lahir itu merupakan konsekuensi dari keimanan di dalam hati. Ia merupakan pembuktian atas apa yang ada di dalam hati, tanda dan saksi baginya. Ia merupakan cabang dari totalitas keimanan dan bagian dari kesatuannya.…” (Majmu’ Fatawa Ibnu Taimiyah [2/175] as-Syamilah, lihat juga Mujmal Masa’il al-Iman al-’Ilmiyah, hal. 15).
Ibnu Batthah rahimahullah (wafat tahun 387 H) menyebutkan riwayat dari Umair bin Habib radhiyallahu’anhu, dia mengatakan, “Iman itu bertambah dan berkurang.” Ada yang bertanya, “Apakah maksud pertambahan dan pengurangannya?”. Beliau menjawab, “Apabila kita mengingat Allah kemudian kita memuji dan menyucikan-Nya maka itulah pertambahannya. Dan apabila kita lalai dan melupakan-Nya maka itulah pengurangannya.” (al-Ibanah al-Kubra [3/153], lihat juga Fath al-Bari Ibnu Rojab [1/5] as-Syamilah).
Allah ta’ala berfirman (yang artinya), “Belumkah tiba saatnya bagi orang-orang yang beriman untuk tunduk dan takut hati mereka dengan mengingat Allah serta merenungkan kebenaran yang diturunkan (kepada mereka), dan janganlah mereka itu seperti orang-orang terdahulu yang diberikan kitab sebelum mereka, ketika masa yang panjang berlalu maka mengeraslah hati mereka, dan banyak di antara mereka yang menjadi orang-orang fasik.” (QS. al-Hadid : 16).
Suatu ketika Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam ditanya, “Wahai Rasulullah, apakah kami akan celakan sedangkan bersama kami masih ada orang-orang salih?”. Maka beliau menjawab, “Iya, apabila perbuatan-perbuatan keji telah merajalela.” (HR. Muslim).
Demikianlah sekelumit pesan bagi saudara-saudaraku sekalian, para pemuda yang menginginkan kebahagiaan abadi di akherat nanti, bersama para bidadari dan pelayan-pelayan yang baik budi. Suatu hari di saat orang-orang lain tersiksa, ketika itu pemuda yang tumbuh dalam ketaatan beribadah kepada Rabbnya pun akan merasakan keteduhan di bawah naungan Arsy-Nya. Karena dia rela untuk meninggalkan apa yang disenangi oleh hawa nafsunya demi mendapatkan kecintaan Rabb alam semesta.
Allah ta’ala berfirman tentang surga (yang artinya), “Itulah yang balasan bagi orang-orang yang takut kepada Rabbnya.” (QS. al-Bayyinah : 8).
Semoga Allah mengampuni dosa-dosa kita dan memurnikan taubat kita agar benar-benar ikhlas karena-Nya. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Penerima taubat. Wa shallallahu ‘ala Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa ‘ala alihi wa sallam. Walhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘alamin.
