Kisah diatas sangat mirip dengan kisah salah seorang sahabat Nabi Muhammad SAW, Yaitu Abbad bin Bisyr ditembus beberapa anak panah, ketika sedang khusyuk shalat tahajud. Anehnya, ia tidak merasakan sakit sama sekali. Dalam keadaan shalat, ia mencabut beberapa anak panah lantas melanjutkan shalatnya hingga malam usai.
Abbad bin Bisyr turut berperang bersama Rasulullah SAW dalam tiap peperangan yang beliau pimpin. Dalam peperangan-peperangan itu, dia bertugas sebagai pemabawa Al Qur’an.
Ketika Rasulullah SAW kembali dari perang Dzatur Riqa’, beliau beristirahat dengan seluruh pasukan muslim di lereng sebuah bukit. Setibanya di tempat peristirahatan di atas bukit, Rasulullah SAW bertanya,
“Siapa yang bertugas jaga malam ini?”
“Kami ya Rasulullah,” kata Abbad bin Bisyr dan Amar bin Yasir seraya berdiri. Saat Terkena Anak Panah
Rasululah SAW telah menjadikan keduanya bersaudara ketika kaum Muhajirin baru tiba di Madinah. Ketika keduanya keluar ke pos penjagaan, Abbad bertanya kepada Ammar,
“Siapa di antara kita yang berjaga terlebih dahulu?”
“Aku yang tidur lebih dahulu,” jawab Ammar yang bersiap untuk berbaring tak jauh dari tempat penjagaan.
Dalam suasana malam yang tenang dan hening, Abbad shalat malam dan larut dalam manisnya ayat-ayat Al Qur’an yang dibacanya. Dalam shalat itu ia membaca surat Al Kahfi dengan suara memilukan bagi siapa saja yang mendengarnya.
Ketika Abbad tenggelam dalam kekhusyukan shalat Tahajud, seorang musuh datang menyelinap. Musuh itu yakin bahwa Rasulullah SAW ada di tempat itu dan orang yang sedang shalat itu adalah pengawal yang bertugas jaga.
Dalam Kondisi terkena Panah Enggan Menghentikan Shalat
Orang itu menyiapkan anak panah dan memanah Abbad dengan tepat mengenai tubuhnya. Abbad mencabut anak panah yang bersarang di tubuhnya sambil meneruskan bacaan dan tenggelam dalam shalat. Orang itu memanah lagi dan mengenai tubuh Abbad dengan jitu lagi. Abbad kembali mencabut anak panah dari tubuhnya dan kembali meneruskan ibadahnya.
Kemudian orang itu memanah lagi dan Abbad mencabut lagi anak panahnya seperti dua anak panah sebelumnya.
Kini giliran jaga diemban oleh Ammar bin Yasir pun tiba, Abbad merangkak ke dekat saudaranya yang tidur lalu membangunkannya seraya berkata,
“Bangunlah saudaraku, aku terluka parah dan lemas,” kata Abbad.
Sementara itu, si pemanah tadi yang mengetahui melihat pasangan saudara itu, buru-buru melarikan diri. Ammar menoleh ke arah Abbad dan melihat darah bercucuran dari tiga luka di tubuhnya.
‘Subhanallah, mengapa engkau tidak membangunkan aku ketika panah pertama mengenai tubuhmu saudaraku?” kata Ammar.
“Aku sedang membaca Al Qur’an dalam shalat. Aku tidak ingin memutuskan bacaanku hingga selesai. Demi Allah, kalaulah tidak karena takut akan menyia-nyiakan tugas jaga yang dibebankan oleh Rasulullah SAW untuk menjaga pos perkemahan kaum muslimin, biarlah tubuhku putus daripada harus menghentikan bacaan Al Qur’an dalam shalat,” jawab Abbad.
Inilah salah satu kisah heroik dari sahabat yang bernama Abbad bin Bisyr dan ini merupakan salah satu dari karomah yang Allah SWT berikan kepadanya. Demikian pula dengan kisah seorang yang dibakar tetap melanjutkan shalatnya, semoga Allah tempatkan mereka di sisi terbaik.
