Tetapi, banyak juga dijumpai kasus jenazah memiliki gigi emas. Gigi itu masih kuat tertancap di mulut jenazah itu.
Terkait persoalan ini, apa yang harus dilakukan?
Mengutip rubrik Syariah Nahdlatul Ulama, ada baiknya menyimak penjelasan Syamsuddin Al Ramli dalam kitab An Nihayah Al Mumtaj. Imam Ramli menggunakan pengandaian kain sutra bagi laki-laki.
Imam Ramli menyebut laki-laki boleh mengenakan kain sutra dalam kondisi tertentu, misalnya untuk menutupi luka. Tetapi, ketika pria itu meninggal, kain sutra wajib ditanggalkan karena dianggap sudah tidak relevan.
" Oleh karenanya, jika seseorang laki-laki memakai kain sutera misalnya untuk menghindari gatal-gatal atau kutu, dan sebab yang memperbolehkan pemakaian sutera tersebut ada sampai menjelang ajalnya, maka haram mengafani jenazahnya dalam kain sutera tersebut, berdasarkan larangan pemakai sutera secara umum, dan karena habisnya sebab yang memperbolehkan dirinya memakai sutera."
Gigi Emas pada Jenazah, Dicabut atau Dikubur?
Manusia adalah makhluk mulia. Walaqad karramnâ banî âdam (dan telah kamu muliakan anak turun Nabi Adam), kata Al-Qur’an. Atas kemuliaan ini, kemanusiaannya tak hanya wajib dihormati kala hidup tapi juga kala meninggal dunia. Karena itu saat ada orang Islam wafat, fardhu kifayah bagi orang Islam lainnya untuk memandikan, mengafani, menshalati, lalu menguburkannya.
Namun demikian, tidak setiap dalam prosesi pamulasaraan jenazah itu seseorang mendapati kasus yang sama. Misalnya, kasus jenazah orang yang mamakai gigi emas. Kala menghadapi hal demikian, masyarakat kadang bingung, apakah gigi tersebut wajib dicabut atau dibiarkan alias dikubur bersama jenazah?
Imam Ramli dalam Al-Nihayah al-Muhtaj pernah menyinggung soal pakaian sutera yang hukum asalnya diharamkan bagi lelaki. Ia membolehkan laki-laki memakai sutera selama ada uzur tertentu, seperti menghindari gatal atau kutu. Namun, ketika meninggal dunia sutera itu harus dilepas karena faktor yang membolehkan sudah tidak relevan lagi.
وَلِهَذَا لَوْ لَبِسَ الرَّجُلُ حَرِيْرَا لِحِكَّةٍ أَوِ قُمْلِ مَثَلاً وَاسْتَمَرَّ السَّبَبُ الْمُبِيْحُ لَهُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى مَوْتِهِ حَرُمَ تَكْفِيْنُهُ فِيْهِ عَمَلاً بِعُمُوْمِ النَّهْيِ وَلِانْقِضَاءِ السَّبَبِ الَّذِيْ أُبِيْحَ لَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِهِ.
“… Oleh karenanya, jika seseorang laki-laki memakai kain sutera misalnya untuk menghindari gatal-gatal atau kutu, dan sebab yang memperbolehkan pemakaian sutera tersebut ada sampai menjelang ajalnya, maka haram mengafani jenazahnya dalam kain sutera tersebut, berdasarkan larangan pemakai sutera secara umum, dan karena habisnya sebab yang memperbolehkan dirinya memakai sutera.” (Syamsuddin al-Ramli, Nihayah al-Muhtaj, [Mesir: Musthafa al-Halabi, 1357 H/1938 M], Jilid II, h. 447)
Lalu, bagaimana dengan kasus gigi emas? Permasalahan ini pernah disinggung dalam Muktamar ke-6 Nahdlatul Ulama yang digelar di Pekalongan, Jawa Tengah, pada 12 Rabiuts Tsani 1350 H atau 27 Agustus 1931 M. Menganalogikannya dengan pendapat Imam Ramli di atas, muktamirin memutuskan bahwa “apabila mencabut gigi emas tersebut menodai kehormatan mayat, maka hukumnya haram dicabut. Dan apabila tidak, maka bila itu seorang laki-laki yang dewasa maka wajib dicabut, bila seorang wanita atau anak kecil maka terserah kerelaan ahli warisnya.
Dengan bahasa lain, wajib mencabutnya bila jenazah berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan pencabutan itu tidak menodai kehormatan jenazah. Mubah bila jenazah pemakai gigi emas tersebut berjenis kelamin perempuan atau anak kecil. Wallâhu a‘lam. (Mahbib)
