Urine sapi ditengarai memiliki bahan-bahan desinfektan, sementara kotoran sapi di beberapa desa dipergunakan sebagai pembersih dan antiseptik lantai. Kini, RSS yang menyulap urine menjadi minuman ringan berharap produk mereka bisa diterima luas di masyarakat.

“Kami mendefinisikan gau ark (urin sapi) menjadi gau jal (air sapi) yang memiliki bahan potensial untuk menyembuhkan beberapa penyakit. Kami mengembangkan sebuah formula minuman ringan dengan gau jal sebagai bahan dasarnya. Saat ini formula tersebut tengah dikirim ke laboratorium di Luknow untuk dicoba,” kata Om Prakash, Direktur Cow Protection Department RSS.

Timnya kini sedang memfokuskan diri dalam hal pengepakan dan pendistribusiannya. Mereka juga sibuk mencari cara penyajian yang tepat saat mengonsumsi gau jal, terutama selama musim panas. Dikhawatirkan karena suhu yang tinggi menyebabkan minuman tersebut menjadi bau. “Ini menjadi penemuan revolusioner. Selama bertahun-tahun urin sapi memiliki potensi medis yang tinggi. Penemuan-penemuan terus berkembang hingga akhirnya penemuan menjadi minuman dingin. Ini akan membuktikan betapa tinggi kedudukan sapi di budaya India,” ujar Prakash.
