SYAIR
Syair yang dikenali di zaman Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam bersama para sahabatnya adalah berbeza dengan al-ghina’ (nyanyian). Syair arab yang dimaksudkan adalah merujuk kepada lantunan suara dengan nada biasa seperti puisi, syair, atau sajak . Al-Ghina’ (nyanyian) pula merujuk kepada lantunan suara seperti syair tetapi dengan bentuk alunan suara yang dinyaringkan dan diperindahkan dengan susunan seni suara tertentu yang khusus.
Al-Hafiz Ibnu Hajar al’Asqalani rahimahullah (Wafat: 852H) menyebutkan:
ويطلق الغناء (بالمد والكسر): على الترنم الذي تسميه العرب (النصب) بفتح النون وسكون المهملة
Terjemahan: Disebut al-ghina’) adalah menyanyi dengan susunan irama/intonasi yang dinyaringkan (disebut an-Nashab) oleh orang ‘Arab. (al-Hafiz Ibnu Hajar, Fathul Bari, 2/442) Secara umumnya, syair adalah mubah (dibolehkan) selagi mana di dalamnya tidak mengandungi sesuatu yang terlarang.
Hadis Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam daripada Ubai B. Ka’ab:
إن من الشعر حكمة
Terjemahan: “Sesungguhnya di antara syair itu ada yang memiliki hikmah (pelajaran).” Namun terdapat hadis yang menjelaskan larangan sekiranya asyik dan disibukkan dengan bersyair. (Hadis Riwayat al-Bukhari, Shohih al-Bukhari, 19/116, no. 5679)
عن بن عمر رضى الله تعالى عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال لأن يمتلئ جوف أحدكم قيحا خير له من أن يمتلئ شعرا
Dari Ibnu ‘Umar radliyallahu ‘anhuma, Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam bersabda: “Lebih baik salah seorang daripada kamu memenuhi perutnya dengan nanah daripada ia memenuhinya dengan syair (nyanyian tanpa muzik).” (Hadis Riwayat al-Bukhari, 19/127, no. 5688)
عن أبي هريرة رضى الله تعالى عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأن يمتلئ جوف رجل قيحا يريه خير من أن يمتلئ شعرا
Daripada Abi Hurairah radhiyallahu ‘anhu, beliau berkata: Telah bersabda Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam: “Lebih baik salah seorang daripada kamu memenuhi perutnya dengan nanah sehingga rosak perutnya daripada ia penuhi dengan syair.” (Hadis Riwayat al-Bukhari, 19/128, no. 5689. Muslim, 11/341, no. 4191) Al-Hafiz Ibnu Hajar al-‘Asqalani rahimahullah berkata:
هذه المبالغة في ذم الشعر أن الذين خوطبوا بذلك كانوا في غاية الإقبال عليه والاشتغال به فزجرهم عنه ليقبلوا على القرآن وعلى ذكر الله تعالى وعبادته فمن أخذ من ذلك ما أمر به لم يضره ما بقي عنده مما سوى ذلك والله أعلم “
Penyebab munculnya celaan yang cukup keras tersebut adalah disebabkan orang yang diajak berbicara merupakan orang-orang yang menyibukkan diri dan menghabiskan waktunya hanya untuk bersyair, sehingga Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam mencela mereka supaya mereka kembali kepada al-Qur’an, berzikir, dan beribadah kepada Allah. Sesiapa yang telah melaksanakan apa yang diperintahkan kepadanya, maka tidak mengapa sekiranya baki waktunya yang tinggal (sisa waktu yang tinggal) digunakan untuk perkara lain. Wallahu a’lam. (Fathul Bari, 10/550) Imam an-Nawawi rahimahullah (Wafat: 676H) berkata ketika menjelaskan berkenaan hadis yang menyebutkan persoalan Syairnya Umayyah, beliau berkata:
وَمَقْصُود الْحَدِيث أَنَّ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اِسْتَحْسَنَ شِعْر أُمِّيَّة , وَاسْتَزَادَ مِنْ إِنْشَاده لِمَا فِيهِ مِنْ الْإِقْرَار بِالْوَحْدَانِيَّةِ وَالْبَعْث , فَفِيهِ جَوَاز إِنْشَاد الشِّعْر الَّذِي لَا فُحْش فِيهِ , وَسَمَاعه , سَوَاء شِعْر الْجَاهِلِيَّة وَغَيْرهمْ , وَأَنَّ الْمَذْمُوم مِنْ الشِّعْر الَّذِي لَا فُحْش فِيهِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ الْإِكْثَار مِنْهُ , وَكَوْنه غَالِبًا عَلَى الْإِنْسَان . فَأَمَّا يَسِيره فَلَا بَأْس بِإِنْشَادِهِ وَسَمَاعه وَحِفْظه
“Maksud hadis ini menunjukkan bahawa Nabi Shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam menganggap baik syair Umayyah dan meminta tambahan syair terhadap apa yang ada di dalamnya dari pengakuannya terhadap ke-Esaan (Allah) dan hari akhir. Dan di dalamnya maklumat tentang bolehnya melantunkan syair yang tidak mengandungi kekejian, sekaligus mendengarkannya. Sama sahaja, adakah syair tersebut merupakan syair Jahiliyyah atau selainnya. Dan yang perlu dijauhi berkaitan persoalan syair yang tidak mengandungi kekejian ini adalah yang tidak berlebihan padanya. Dan itulah yang biasanya terjadi kepada diri manusia. Adapun sedikit syair dengan cara melantunkan, mendengarnya, atau menghafalnya maka tidak mengapa.” (an-Nawawi, Syarah Shohih Muslim, 12/15)
Di Antara Syair-syair Yang Dibolehkan (Berdasarkan apa yang disebutkan oleh hadis-hadis):
1 – Syair para jama’ah haji. Mereka biasa melantunkan syair-syair yang mengisahkan tentang Ka’abah, Maqam Ibrahim, zam-zam, dan seumpamanya.
2 – Syair para pejuang yang dapat membakar semangat untuk berperang.
3 – Syair yang membangkitkan semangat bekerja, sebagaimana syair yang dilantunkan oleh kaum Muhajirin dan Anshar ketika mereka menggali parit pada peperangan Khandaq.
4 – Syair yang dilantunkan oleh penunggang unta supaya unta mereka bersemangat untuk melakukan perjalanan sebagaimana yang dilakukan oleh ‘Amir B. Ak-‘Akwa.
5 – Syair yang mengandungi hikmah (kebaikan), doa, dan selainnya. Dan bukan syair yang berisi kemungkaran atau maksiat.
AL-GHINA'
Berkenaan al-Ghina' (nyayian) pula,ulama’ berselisih pendapat antara yang membenarkan dan mengharuskannya. Bagi yang mengharuskannya seumpama Ibnu Hazm, Asy-Syeikh Abdul Ghani An-Nabulsi, Asy-Syazili At-Tunisi dan lain-lain meletakkan syarat mestilah mempunyai niat yang betul dan tidak bertentangan dengan syara’.
Isu nyanyian dan muzik dalam Islam juga merupakan perkara yang diperselisihkan oleh ulama’, antaranya menghukumkan nyanyian sebagai haram dan harus. Masing-masing mempunyai hujah-hujah yang tersendiri dalam memahami nas-nas yang berkaitan dengan perkara ini.
Namun, ulama’ bersepakat dalam menghukumkan haram bagi setiap jenis nyanyian yang mengandungi unsur kekejian, unsur kefasikan atau unsur penggalakkan ke arah melakukan maksiat.ada golongan yang mengharuskan jika sekiranya tanpa alat muzik dan ada juga yang mengharamkan secara mutlak samada menggunakan alat muzik ataupun tidak.
Berkait dengan hukum nyanyian bersama wanita, Islam telah meletakkan disiplin yang jelas tanpa wujudnya sebarang bentuk diskriminasi dan penindasan terhadap kaum wanita. Bagi mengelakkan sebarang fitnah yang berunsurkan pandangan yang bersyahwat dari golongan kaum lelaki dan memperagakan tubuh badan dari kaum wanita, mengalun-alunkan suara (iaitu cara selayaknya sebagai penyanyi) dan seumpamanya, Islam melarang dan tidak membenarkan lelaki berduet bersama wanita dalam persembahan nyanyian. Ia bersalahan dengan adab Islam yang disebut di dalam Al-Quran Al-Karim iaitu firman Allah (s.w.t):
قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى لَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ * وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ وَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَائِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِي إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِي أَخَوَاتِهِنَّ أَوْ نِسَائِهِنَّ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُنَّ أَوِ التَّابِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُولِي الإرْبَةِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ أَوِ الطِّفْلِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَى عَوْرَاتِ النِّسَاءِ وَلا يَضْرِبْنَ بِأَرْجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِينَ مِنْ زِينَتِهِنَّ وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ *
Yang maksudnya: “Katakanlah kepada orang laki-laki yang beriman: "Hendaklah mereka menahan pandanganya, dan memelihara kemaluannya; yang demikian itu adalah lebih suci bagi mereka, sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang mereka perbuat. Katakanlah kepada wanita yang beriman: "Hendaklah mereka menahan pandangannya, dan kemaluannya, dan janganlah mereka menampakkan perhiasannya, kecuali yang (biasa) nampak dari padanya”. [Surah An-Nuur: 30-31] Dan sabda Nabi (s.a.w): “Wahai Ali ! Jangan kamu iringi pandangan pertamamu dengan pandangan kedua, sesungguhnya bagi kamu pandangan pertama tapi tidak pada pandangan kedua”.
Nyanyian yang dipersembahkan oleh wanita adalah suatu perkara yang tidak dibenarkan oleh Islam. Al-Quran Al-Karim menyatakan arahan Allah (s.w.t):
يَا نِسَاءَ النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلا مَعْرُوفًا
Yang maksudnya: “…Maka janganlah kamu tunduk dalam berbicara sehingga berkeinginanlah orang yang ada penyakit dalam hatinya…”. [Surah Al-Ahzab : 32] Wanita hanya dibenarkan mempersembahkan nyanyian atau nasyid hanya untuk kalangan mereka sahaja dan tidak boleh dihadapan khalayak lelaki.
