1. Berhenti Menyuruh Anak
Menurut Aminah, cara pertama yakni berhenti menyuruh anak untuk membaca Al-Qur’an. Artinya sebagai orangtua kita tidak hanya meyuruh anak tapi harus memberikan tauladan atau contoh yang baik kepada anak-anak terlebih dahulu.

Misalnya Aminah, ia mengitikadkan membaca Al-Qur’an setiap selesai shalat wajib. Demi memberikan tauladan, biasanya waktu antara maghrib ke Isya Aminah meninggalkan semua agenda belanja barang dapur dan kebutuhan lainnya. Ia memberikan teladan kepada anak-nya untuk membaca Al-Qur’an.

Saat Aminah sudah membiasakan membaca Al-Quran selesai shalat, awalnya anak-anaknya hanya cuek dan mengintipnya saja. Namun, setelah beberapa hari anaknya mulai penasaran dan mendekati Aminah hingga mereka pun ingin belajar dan membiasakan baca Al-Qur’an sama sepeti ibunya.

Jika hal itu konsisten dilakukan, maka orangtua tidak perlu menyuruh dulu anaknya untuk membaca Al-Qur’an tapi justru sang anak yang menginginkannya.

2. Meluangkan Waktu untuk Membuat Halaqah Al-Qur’an
Aminah membuat agenda keluarga untuk membuat halaqah qur’an. Setiap hari Jumat, ia mewajibkan keluarganya untuk membuat halaqah, dimana mereka duduk dalam lingkaran, kemudian bergantian membaca Al-Qur’an. Biasanya Aminah membaca Surah Al kahfi setiap hari Jumat.

3. Tadabbur Terjemahan Al-Qu’ran
Agar anak-anaknya tertarik untuk mentadaburi Al-Qur’an, maka Aminah mulai membiasakan tadabbur terjemahan Al-Quran. Akhirnya setelah ia konsisten, anak-anaknya pun penasaran dan ingin mengikuti apa yang dilakukan ibu mereka.

Saat mereka mendengarkan tadabbur terjemahan Al-Qur’an, anak-anak mulai mengerti makna dari ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an yang setiap hari mereka baca.

4. Mencoba Menghafal Al-Qur’an Bersama
Jika sebelumnya anak-anak Aminah biasa menghafal Al-Qur’an sendiri, maka untuk membuat anaknya tidak bosan untuk menghafal Al-Qur’an, maka Aminah mengajak anaknya untuk menghafal Al-Qur’an bersama-sama.

Setelah ia ikut menghafal Al-Qur’an, Aminah baru mengetahui susahnya menghafal Al-Qur’an. Akhirnya, ia pun memahami apa yang anaknya lalui untuk menghafal Al-Qur’an.

5) Puji Anak Depan Suami
Untuk membuat minat anak semakin besar terhadao Al-Qur’an, maka Aminah biasa memuji setiap perkembangan anaknya dalam mempelajari Al-Qur’an kepada suaminya. Aminah sengaja memuji anak-anak di depan ayahnya, agar mereka merasa diakui dan semangatnya semakin besar untuk mempelajari Al-Qur’an.
