Hanya mereka yang tak ada pilihan lain.

Meski begitu bekerja sebagai penggali kubur bukanlah perkara gampang.

Apalagi berurusan dengan kematian.

Tak jarang mereka yang bekerja sebagai penggali kubur mengalami kejadian mistis.

Enam tahun menggeluti profesi sebagai penggali kubur, Saiful Anwar warga Jalan Puding Kecamatan Ilir Timur I Palembang, Sumatera Selatan sudah banyak mengalami peristiwa janggal.

Bapak empat orang anak ini sedikit berbagi cerita ketika ia sedang menggali liang kuburan.
Ia adalah penggali kuburan di Tempat Pemakaman Umum (TPU) Kamboja.

Kejadiannya dua tahun yang lalu, ketika itu Saiful (sapaan akrabnya) bersama lima orang rekan kerjanya sedang menggali liang makam.

Tidak seperti biasanya galian yang ia kerjakan kali ini sangat berbeda dari biasanya.

Saat mencangkul tanah yang keras, langsung seketika ada air yang keluar membasahi tanah.

"Semuanya bingung, saat itu sedang tidak musim hujan dan cuaca juga sedang panas", jelasnya sambil duduk di dekat makam kuburan.

Melihat air yang terus keluar, Saiful dan rekannya memutuskan untuk tetap menggali.

Akhirnya galiannya mereka terselesaikan dengan kedalaman liang 1,5 meter.

Tetap saja air tersebut tidak bisa berhenti, dengan deras aliran air keluar dari samping dan bawah tanah.

"Kedalaman air sampai mencapai sebatas dengkul orang dewasa", terangnya.

Karena harus di kebumikan, akhirnya jenazah terpaksa harus tetap dimasukan di liang makam.

Merasa ada kejanggalan ia akhirnya memutuskan untuk pulang dengan cepat dari rekannya.

"Kejadiannya siang hari, biasanya saya pulang saat matahari hampir terbenam, karena sedikit takut saya akhirnya pulang sore", ungkapnya.

Keanehan pun berlanjut di malam harinya, saat akan beristirahat.

Seketika ada banyangan hitam tinggi besar berdiri didekat tempat tidurnya.

Spontan bulu kuduk Saiful langsung merinding, nafas menjadi tidak beraturan.

Bayangan hitam tersebut seakan tidak mau pergi darinya.

"Saat itu saya sangat takut, tidak tahu dia wanita atau laki-laki, wujudnya hanya tinggi besar dan berwarna hitam", tuturnya sambil mengingat.

Namun, karena sudah menjadi tempat untuk mencari nafkah, ia hanya bisa memberanikan diri untuk terus mengambil upah sebagai penggali liang kubur.

"Saya sebenarnya takut, tetapi tidak ada pekerjaan lain lagi, bagaimana mau makan kalau saya berhenti bekerja", jelasnya.

Tidur di Lubang Kubur

Tak hanya itu ia juga menceritakan pengalaman rekan kerjanya ketika masih hidup.

Temannya juga pernah mendapatkan peristiwa mistis.

Saat itu ia baru selesai menggali liang kuburan, karena merasa kelelahan ia akhirnya tertidur di dalam liang bekas galiannya sendiri.

Ia pun bermimpi, di dalam mimpinya ia bertemu sosok orang tinggi besar sambil membawa cambuk di tangan kanan serta kirinya.

Dengan tatapan tajam orang yang di dalam mimpinya mengayunkan cambuk ke arah tubuh bagian belakang.

Setelah terbangun dari lelapnya tidur, ia merasakan sakit di tubuh bagian belakang.

Benar saja saat ia melihat tubuhnya telah dipenuhi luka seperti bekas cambukan.

"Teman saya itu sudah meninggal dunia, namanya Narto, sebelumnya ia pernah bercerita kepada saya atas pengalamnnya tersebut", jelas Saiful.
