Cinta kepada lain jenis merupakan hal yang fitrah bagi manusia. Karena sebab cintalah, keberlangsungan hidup manusia bisa terjaga. Oleh sebab itu, Allah Ta’ala menjadikan wanita sebagai perhiasan dunia dan kenikmatan bagi penghuni surga.
Islam sebagai agama yang sempurna juga telah mengatur bagaimana menyalurkan fitrah cinta tersebut dalam syariatnya yang rahmatan lil ‘alamin.
Namun, bagaimanakah jika cinta itu disalurkan melalui cara yang tidak syar`i? Fenomena itulah yang melanda hampir sebagian besar anak muda saat ini. Penyaluran cinta ala mereka biasa disebut dengan pacaran. Berikut adalah beberapa tinjauan syari’at Islam mengenai pacaran.
Ajaran Islam Melarang Mendekati Zina
Allah Ta’ala berfirman (yang artinya), “Dan janganlah kamu mendekati zina; sesungguhnya zina itu adalah suatu perbuatan yang keji. Dan suatu jalan yang buruk.” (QS. Al Isro’ [17]: 32)
Dalam Tafsir Jalalain dikatakan bahwa larangan dalam ayat ini lebih keras daripada perkataan ‘Janganlah melakukannya’. Artinya bahwa jika kita mendekati zina saja tidak boleh, apalagi sampai melakukan zina, jelas-jelas lebih terlarang.
Asy Syaukani dalam Fathul Qodir mengatakan, ”Apabila perantara kepada sesuatu saja dilarang, tentu saja tujuannya juga haram dilihat dari maksud pembicaraan.”
Dilihat dari perkataan Asy Syaukani ini, maka kita dapat simpulkan bahwa setiap jalan (perantara) menuju zina adalah suatu yang terlarang. Ini berarti memandang, berjabat tangan, berduaan dan bentuk perbuatan lain yang dilakukan dengan lawan jenis karena hal itu sebagai perantara kepada zina adalah suatu hal yang terlarang.
Islam Memerintahkan untuk Menundukkan Pandangan
Allah memerintahkan kaum muslimin untuk menundukkan pandangan ketika melihat lawan jenis. Allah Ta’ala berfirman (yang artinya), “Katakanlah kepada laki–laki yang beriman:
”Hendaklah mereka menundukkan pandangannya dan memelihara kemaluannya.” (QS. An Nuur [24]: 30 )
Dalam lanjutan ayat ini, Allah juga berfirman, “Katakanlah kepada wanita-wanita yang beriman : “Hendaklah mereka menundukkan pandangannya, dan kemaluannya” (QS. An Nuur [24]: 31)
Ibnu Katsir ketika menafsirkan ayat pertama di atas mengatakan, ”Ayat ini merupakan perintah Allah Ta’ala kepada hamba-Nya yang beriman untuk menundukkan pandangan mereka dari hal-hal yang haram. Janganlah mereka melihat kecuali pada apa yang dihalalkan bagi mereka untuk dilihat (yaitu pada istri dan mahromnya). Hendaklah mereka juga menundukkan pandangan dari hal-hal yang haram. Jika memang mereka tiba-tiba melihat sesuatu yang haram itu dengan tidak sengaja, maka hendaklah mereka memalingkan pandangannya dengan segera.”
Ketika menafsirkan ayat kedua di atas, Ibnu Katsir juga mengatakan, ”Firman Allah (yang artinya) ‘katakanlah kepada wanita-wanita yang beriman : hendaklah mereka menundukkan pandangan mereka’ yaitu hendaklah mereka menundukkannya dari apa yang Allah haramkan dengan melihat kepada orang lain selain suaminya. Oleh karena itu, mayoritas ulama berpendapat bahwa tidak boleh seorang wanita melihat laki-laki lain (selain suami atau mahromnya, pen) baik dengan syahwat dan tanpa syahwat. Sebagian ulama lainnya berpendapat tentang bolehnya melihat laki-laki lain dengan tanpa syahwat.”
Lalu Bagaimana Jika Kita Tidak Sengaja Memandang Lawan Jenis?
Dari Jarir bin Abdillah, beliau mengatakan, “Aku bertanya kepada Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam tentang pandangan yang cuma selintas (tidak sengaja). Kemudian Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam memerintahkan kepadaku agar aku segera memalingkan pandanganku.” (HR. Muslim no. 5770)
Faedah dari menundukkan pandangan, sebagaimana difirmankan Allah dalam surat An Nur ayat 30 (yang artinya) “yang demikian itu adalah lebih suci bagi mereka” yaitu dengan menundukkan pandangan akan lebih membersihkan hati dan lebih menjaga agama orang-orang yang beriman.
Inilah yang dikatakan oleh Ibnu Katsir –semoga Allah merahmati beliau- ketika menafsirkan ayat ini. –Semoga kita dimudahkan oleh Allah untuk menundukkan pandangan sehingga hati dan agama kita selalu terjaga kesuciannya.
Agama Islam Melarang Berduaan Dengan Lawan Jenis
Dari Ibnu Abbas, Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, “Janganlah seorang laki-laki berduaan dengan seorang wanita kecuali jika bersama mahromnya.” (HR. Bukhari, no. 5233).
Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, “Janganlah seorang laki-laki berduaan dengan seorang wanita yang tidak halal baginya karena sesungguhnya syaithan adalah orang ketiga di antara mereka berdua kecuali apabila bersama mahromnya.” (HR. Ahmad no. 15734. Syaikh Syu’aib Al Arnauth mengatakan hadits ini shohih ligoirihi)
Jabat Tangan dengan Lawan Jenis Termasuk yang Dilarang
Dari Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu ‘anhu , Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
“Setiap anak Adam telah ditakdirkan bagian untuk berzina dan ini suatu yang pasti terjadi, tidak bisa tidak. Zina kedua mata adalah dengan melihat. Zina kedua telinga dengan mendengar. Zina lisan adalah dengan berbicara. Zina tangan adalah dengan meraba (menyentuh). Zina kaki adalah dengan melangkah. Zina hati adalah dengan menginginkan dan berangan-angan. Lalu kemaluanlah yang nanti akan membenarkan atau mengingkari yang demikian.” (HR. Muslim no. 6925)
Jika kita melihat pada hadits di atas, menyentuh lawan jenis -yang bukan istri atau mahrom- diistilahkan dengan berzina.
Hal ini berarti menyentuh lawan jenis adalah perbuatan yang haram karena berdasarkan kaedah ushul “apabila sesuatu dinamakan dengan sesuatu lain yang haram, maka menunjukkan bahwa perbuatan tersebut adalah haram”.
Meninjau Fenomena Pacaran
Setelah pemaparan kami di atas, jika kita meninjau fenomena pacaran saat ini pasti ada perbuatan-perbuatan yang dilarang di atas. Kita dapat melihat bahwa bentuk pacaran bisa mendekati zina. Semula diawali dengan pandangan mata terlebih dahulu. Lalu pandangan itu mengendap di hati.
Kemudian timbul hasrat untuk jalan berdua. Lalu berani berdua-duan di tempat yang sepi. Setelah itu bersentuhan dengan pasangan. Lalu dilanjutkan dengan ciuman. Akhirnya, sebagai pembuktian cinta dibuktikan dengan berzina. –Naudzu billahi min dzalik-.
Lalu pintu mana lagi paling lebar dan paling dekat dengan ruang perzinaan melebihi pintu pacaran?
Mungkinkah ada pacaran Islami? Sungguh, pacaran yang dilakukan saat ini bahkan yang dilabeli dengan ’pacaran Islami’ tidak mungkin bisa terhindar dari larangan-larangan di atas. Renungkanlah hal ini!
Mustahil Ada Pacaran Islami
Salah seorang dai terkemuka pernah ditanya, ”Ngomong-ngomong, dulu bapak dengan ibu, maksudnya sebelum nikah, apa sempat berpacaran?”
Dengan diplomatis, si dai menjawab,”Pacaran seperti apa dulu? Kami dulu juga berpacaran, tapi berpacaran secara Islami. Lho, gimana caranya? Kami juga sering berjalan-jalan ke tempat rekreasi, tapi tak pernah ngumpet berduaan. Kami juga gak pernah melakukan yang enggak-enggak, ciuman, pelukan, apalagi –wal ‘iyyadzubillah- berzina.
Nuansa berpikir seperti itu, tampaknya bukan hanya milik si dai. Banyak kalangan kaum muslimin yang masih berpandangan, bahwa pacaran itu sah-sah saja, asalkan tetap menjaga diri masing-masing. Ungkapan itu ibarat kalimat, “Mandi boleh, asal jangan basah.”
Ungkapan yang hakikatnya tidak berwujud. Karena berpacaran itu sendiri, dalam makna apapun yang dipahami orang-orang sekarang ini, tidaklah dibenarkan dalam Islam.
Kecuali kalau sekedar melakukan nadzar (melihat calon istri sebelum dinikahi, dengan didampingi mahramnya), itu dianggap sebagai pacaran. Atau setidaknya, diistilahkan demikian.
Namun itu sungguh merupakan perancuan istilah. Istilah pacaran sudah kadong dipahami sebagai hubungan lebih intim antara sepasang kekasih, yang diaplikasikan dengan jalan bareng, jalan-jalan, saling berkirim surat, ber SMS ria, dan berbagai hal lain, yang jelas-jelas disisipi oleh banyak hal-hal haram, seperti pandangan haram, bayangan haram, dan banyak hal-hal lain yang bertentangan dengan syariat.
Bila kemudian ada istilah pacaran yang Islami, sama halnya dengan memaksakan adanya istilah, meneggak minuman keras yang Islami. Mungkin, karena minuman keras itu di tenggak di dalam masjid.
Atau zina yang Islami, judi yang Islami, dan sejenisnya. Kalaupun ada aktivitas tertentu yang halal, kemudian di labeli nama-nama perbuatan haram tersebut, jelas terlalu dipaksakan, dan sama sekali tidak bermanfaat.
Pacaran Terbaik adalah Setelah Nikah
Islam yang sempurna telah mengatur hubungan dengan lawan jenis. Hubungan ini telah diatur dalam syariat suci yaitu pernikahan.
Pernikahan yang benar dalam Islam juga bukanlah yang diawali dengan pacaran, tapi dengan mengenal karakter calon pasangan tanpa melanggar syariat. Melalui pernikahan inilah akan dirasakan percintaan yang hakiki dan berbeda dengan pacaran yang cintanya hanya cinta bualan.
Dari Ibnu Abbas, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, “Kami tidak pernah mengetahui solusi untuk dua orang yang saling mencintai semisal pernikahan.” (HR. Ibnu Majah no. 1920.)
Kalau belum mampu menikah, tahanlah diri dengan berpuasa. Rasulullah shallalahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
“Barangsiapa yang mampu untuk menikah, maka menikahlah. Karena itu lebih akan menundukkan pandangan dan lebih menjaga kemaluan. Barangsiapa yang belum mampu, maka berpuasalah karena puasa itu bagaikan kebiri.” (HR. Bukhari dan Muslim)
Ibnul Qayyim berkata, ”Hubungan intim tanpa pernikahan adalah haram dan merusak cinta, malah cinta di antara keduanya akan berakhir dengan sikap saling membenci dan bermusuhan, karena bila keduanya telah merasakan kelezatan dan cita rasa cinta, tidak bisa tidak akan timbul keinginan lain yang belum diperolehnya.”
Cinta sejati akan ditemui dalam pernikahan yang dilandasi oleh rasa cinta pada-Nya. Mudah-mudahan Allah memudahkan kita semua untuk menjalankan perintah-Nya serta menjauhi larangan-Nya. Allahumma inna nas’aluka ’ilman nafi’a wa rizqon thoyyiban wa ’amalan mutaqobbbalan.
