Diawali dari novel karya Bram Stoker yang berjudul Dracula, kemudian tokoh ini mulai difilmkan seperti Dracula’s Daughter (1936), Son of Dracula (1943), Hoor of of Dracula (1958), Nosferatu (1922) yang dibuat ulang pada tahun 1979 dan film-film dracula yang lain yang dikemas dalam bentuk yang lebih moden seperti Twilight.
Dalam buku berjudul “Dracula, Pembantai Umat Islam Dalam Perang Salib” karya Hyphatia Cneajna, kisah Dracula sebenarnya merupakan pembesar Wallachia, berketurunan Vlad Dracul.
Dalam uraian Hyphatia tersebut, kisah Dracula tidak boleh diceritakan paska Perang Salib. Dracula dilahirkan ketika peperangan antara Kerajaan Turki Ustmaniyah sebagai wakil Islam, dan Kerajaan Hungary sebagai wakil Kristen.
Keduanya tersebut berusaha menguasai dan merebutkan wilayah-wilayah baik Eropa maupun di Asia . Puncak peperangan ini adalah jatuhnya Konstantinopel, yaitu ketika benteng Kristian ada di tangan kekuasaan khilafah Ustmaniyah.
Dalam peristiwa Perang Salib, Dracula merupakan salah seorang panglima tentera Salib. Dalam perang inilah Dracula banyak melakukan pembunuhan terhadap umat Islam. Hyphatia memaparkan jumlah korban kekejaman Dracula mencapai 300.000 jiwa umat Islam. Korban-korban tersebut dibunuh dengan berbagai cara yang sangat biadab dan kejam, yaitu dibakar hidup-hidup, dipaku kepalanya, dan yang paling kejam adalah disula.
Penyulaan merupakan cara penyiksaan yang amat kejam, yaitu seseorang itu ditusuk dubur dengan kayu sebesar lengan tangan orang dewasa yang ujungnya ditajamkan. Korban yang telah ditusuk kemudian dimasukan sehingga kayu sula tersebut menembus hingga perut, kerongkongan hingga menembus kepala melalui mulut.
Hyphatia mengatakan dalam bukunya :
“Ketika matahari mulai meninggi Dracula memerintahkan penyulaan segera dimulakan. Para prajurit melakukan perintah tersebut seolah seperti robot yang telah dipogram. Penyulaan disulami dengan teriakan kesakitan dan jeritan penderitaan yang segera memenuhi segala penjuru tempat itu. Mereka, umat Islam pada saat itu sedang dijemput ajal dengan cara yang begitu mengerikan. Mereka tak sempat lagi mengingat kenangan indah dan manis yang pernah mereka alami.”
Tidak hanya orang dewasa saja yang menjadi korban kekejaman penyulaan, tapi juga bayi. Hyphatia memberikan pemaparan tetang penyulaan terhadap bayi sebagai berikut:
“Bayi-bayi yang disula tak sempat menangis kerana mereka kesakitan yang amat apabila hujung kayu menembus perut kecilnya. Tubuh-tubuh korban itu meregang di kayu sula untuk menjemput ajalnya.”
Kekejaman seperti yang telah dipaparkan di atas itulah yang selama ini disembunyikan oleh Barat. Menurut Hyphatia hal ini terjadi kerana dua sebab. Pertama, pembunuhan beramai – ramai yang dilakukan Dracula terhadap umat Islam tidak boleh dihapuskan dari Perang Salib.
Negara – negara Barat yang pada masa Perang Salib menjadi tunggak utama tentera Salib, tidak mau tercoreng wajahnya. Mereka termasuk yang mengutuk dan menentang pembunuhan beramai – ramai oleh Hilter dan Pol Pot, tidak ingin membuka aib mereka sendiri. Dan ini sudah menjadi tabiat Barat yang selalu ingin tampil seperti pahlawan.
Kedua, Dracula merupakan pahlawan bagi pasukan Salib. Walau bagaimana pun kejamnya Dracula, nama baiknya akan selalu dilindungi. Sehingga di Rumania saat ini, Dracula masih dianggap pahlawan. Sebagaimana sebahagian besar sejarah pahlawan – pahlawan pasti akan diambil sebagai superhero dan dibuang segala kejelekan, kejahatan dan kelemahannya.
Untuk menutup kekejaman mereka, Barat terus-menerus menyembunyikan siapa sebenarnya Dracula. Mereka berusaha agar sejarah jati diri Dracula yang sebenarnya tidak terkuak. Dan, harus diakui bahwa usaha Barat untuk mengubah sejarah Dracula dari fakta menjadi fiksi ini cukup berhasil.
Ukuran keberhasilan ini dapat dilihat dengan banyaknya masyarakat, khususnya umat Islam sendiri yang tidak mengetahui tentang siapa sebenarnya Dracula. Masyarakat umum hanya mengetahui bahwa Dracula adalah merupakan lagenda vampire yang kehausan darah, tanpa mengetahui kisah sebenarnya.
Selain membongkar kebohongan yang dilakukan oleh Barat, dalam bukunya Hyphatia juga mengupas makna salib dalam kisah Dracula. Seperti yang telah diketahui umum bahawa penggambaran Dracula yang telah menjadi fiksi tidak boleh dilepaskan dari dua benda, yaitu bawang putih dan salib.
Konon hanya dengan kedua benda tersebut Dracula akan takut dan dikalahkan. Menurut Hyphatia penggunaan simbol salib merupakan cara Barat untuk menghapus jejak sejarah pahlawan mujahid-mujahid Islam dalam perang salib, sekaligus untuk menunjukkan kehebatan mereka.
Sultan Mahmud II (di Barat dikenal sebagai Sultan Mehmed II) dan juga dikenali sebagai Al- Fateh dalam sejarah Islam. Sultan ini merupakan penakluk Konstantinopel yang sekaligus penakluk Dracula, ia adalah seorang yang telah mengalahkan dan memenggal kepala Dracula di tepi Danua Snagov. Namun barat berusaha memutarbalikkan fakta ini.
Mereka berusaha menciptakan cerita sejarah agar merekalah yang terlihat mengalahkan Dracula. Maka diciptakan sebuah fiksi bahwa Dracula hanya boleh dikalahkan oleh salib. Tujuannya adalah ingin menghilangkan peranan Sultan Mahmud II sekaligus untuk menunjukkan bahwa merekalah yang paling hebat, yang bisa mengalahkan Dracula si Haus Darah.
“Bayi-bayi yang disula tak sempat menangis kerana mereka kesakitan yang amat apabila hujung kayu menembus perut kecilnya. Tubuh-tubuh korban itu meregang di kayu sula untuk menjemput ajalnya.”
