Setiap ibu hamil yang punya kebiasaan merokok jelas memang berbahaya bagi bayi dalam kandungannya. Karena itu, banyak ibu hamil yang sangat berusaha mati-matian untuk melepaskan dirinya dari kebiasaan buruk merokok ini.

Merokok tidak hanya buruk bagi perkembangan anak dan janin dan kesehatannya, tapi juga memiliki akibat yang sangat fatal! Hasil USG di bawah ini membuktikannya kalau ternyata kebiasaan satu ini membuat bayi di dalam perut sangat menderita!


Seorang ahli dari Inggris meneliti wanita merokok dan tidak merokok yang hamil 24 minggu, 28 minggu, 32 minggu dan 36 minggu serta melakukan USG 4D untuk melakukan perbandingan. Hasilnya sangat mengejutkan!


Ternyata bayi dalam kandungan wanita yang merokok akan lebih sering memegang bagian hidung dan mulutnya daripada mereka yang tidak merokok, ini juga ternyata berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan janin. Janin yang normal, semakin dekat dengan hari kelahirannya, maka akan mengurangi gerakan di dalam perut ibunya, sedangkan janin dari ibu yang merokok justru akan menyebabkan sistem saraf bayi terganggu dan responnya lebih lambat, akhirnya ini akan berdampak pada pertumbuhan bayi kelak.

Merokok akan menyebabkan pembuluh darah ibu hamil menjadi sempit dan darah menjadi lebih sulit mencapai rahim. Karena itulah bayi juga tidak mendapatkan oksigen yang cukup dan tidak mendapatkan gizi yang seharusnya. Bau rokok sendiri beracun dan bisa mencapai sang bayi lewat pembuluh darah sang ibu.

Karena itulah, merokok selama kehamilan akan meningkatkan kemungkinan bayi mengalami gangguan kesehatan, seperti :
Bayi lahir dengan tubuh lebih kecil, biasanya bayi dari ibu yang merokok rata-rata lebih kecil 198 gram dari ibu yang tidak merokok.
Resiko keguguran atau prematur lebih tinggi
Lebih mudah terinfeksi
30% lebih memungkinkan mengidap asma atau alergi
Setelah besar lebih besar kemungkinannya untuk menjadi perokok
Kemungkin untuk menderita gangguan hiperaktif 3 kali lebih tinggi
Resiko terkena kanker
dan banyak penyakit lainnya

Namun, gak cuma perokok saja yang perlu memperhatikan hal ini, perokok pasif juga memiliki resiko yang sama. Karena itulah disarankan begitu tahu hamil, para ibu hamil menghindari rokok dan tempat dimana banyak orang merokok, karena itu sangat berpengaruh pada kandungan.

Kita juga perlu mengetahui kesalahan besar yang selama ini disangka oleh para perokok yang berpikir kalau menghentikan rokok sekaligus justru akan berbahaya bagi janin. Hal ini sama sekali salah, justru sama sekali tidak melukai janin, jadi ini bukan alasan bagi para perokok untuk menghentikan rokoknya pelan-pelan.

Sedangkan setelah melahirkan, jangan mengira kembali merokok sudah tidak ada hubungannya dengan bayimu, justru itu berkaitan sangat erat dengan kesehatan bayi. 「Sebaiknya ibu yang baru melahirkan dan anak bayi berada di dalam lingkungan yang bebas rokok, karena rokok sangfat beracun terutama bagi ASI dan bagi anak bayi. Lingkungan bebas rokok bisa melindungi bayi menjadi perokok pasif, menjadi perokok pasif adalah penyebab bayi bisa mengalami resiko meninggal tiba-tiba.」 Kata Michaela Goecke dari biro kesehatan di Jerman.

Paling baiknya, memang para wanita tidak merokok atau memang menghentikan rokoknya untuk selamanya sejak hamil. Kebiasaan buruk seperti ini sangat tidak baik, apalagi untuk bayimu dan dirimu sendiri.
