1. Setiap Kali Merasa Kesal dan Ingin Marah, Beri Jeda Untuk Diam Sejenak
Ambil jeda untuk diam sejenak, berlalu setidaknya 2 menit dari hadapan anak-anak.

“Anda bisa mengambil waktu istirahat dan keluarlah dari ruangan itu. Bahkan walau hanya 1-2 menit saja,” papar psikolog, Laura J. Petracek, PhD, penulis The Anger Workbook for Women.

Kuncinya adalah memberi jarak literal dari situasi penuh kemarahan dan memulihkan rasa tenang.

2. Ambil Wudhu Setiap Kali Marah
Percayalah bahwa air wudhu bisa mengusir kemarahan. “Sesungguhnya marah itu dari setan dan setan terbuat dari api. Dan api itu hanya bisa dipadamkan oleh air. Oleh karena itu, jika seorang di antara kamu marah maka berwudhulah. ” (HR. Abu Daud)

3. Ubah Posisi Tubuh
Cari tempat untuk duduk atau berbaring ketika merasa emosi sedang meninggi.

“Maka apabila salah seorang di antara kamu marah dalam keadaan berdiri maka duduklah. Apabila dalam keadaan duduk maka berbaringlah. ” (Riwayat Abu Daud).

4. Peluk Anak Sambil Beristighfar
Ketika sedang kesal pada anak, coba peluklah anak dan bayangkan ia saat masih bayi dulu. Lantunkan istighfar minimal dalam hati untuk mengusir rasa kesal yang bercokol di hati.

Nasihati anak dengan baik-baik, katakan bahwa apa yang baru saja ia lakukan bisa membuat ibu marah, jadi ia tidak boleh melakukannya lagi karena berbahaya atau jelaskan sebabnya yang bisa dimengerti anak.

5. Luangkan Waktu Untuk Beristirahat dan Pergi ke Suatu Tempat Tanpa Anak Atau Suami
“Me time” sangat penting sekalipun hanya 1-2 jam saja dalam seminggu. Sangat mungkin temperamen memburuk karena terlalu letih dan bosan mengurus pekerjaan rumah.

6. Berhenti Mengharapkan Anak Menjadi Sempurna

9. Perhatikan Kondisi Kesehatan Anak
Seringkali anak rewel dan bertingkahlaku menyebalkan bukan karena ingin memancing kemarahan bundanya, tapi karena sedang tidak enak badan.
